• Location was close to RJ stadium for concert and to hockey game.
• Not much food selection within walking distance, area quite congested.

“We were at the hotel for concert at stadium, and Lightning hockey. It is within reasonable distance to both. Also, hotel location is close to highway for a 20 min drive to Treasure Island and beaches. Hotel amenities were well, not super extravagant though.”

• Nice workspace and a television that can be used as a monitor with all required cables.
• The coffee station in the room, very pedestrian.

“Central location between two very nice malls in the Tampa area (West Shore and International). Very smart looking room with one of the best internet set ups including a flat screen television that doubles as a monitor with all required connections in front of the monitor.”

• Location and pool were great.
• Really small rooms.

“Great location and price, as always with priceline, however the rooms were tiny especially the bathroom. The hotel was dated and not what I was expecting of a Marriott. This could have been a 2 star hotel. Asked for a microwave in the room, hotel staff said they would accommodate, but didn't later.”

• The hotel staff was very pleasant and the rooms are updated nicely.
• The exterior was dark and the hotel still needed a few updates in some areas.

“The hotel has obviously recently had a renovation. The rooms are comfy and beds are soft. The hotel staff was pleasant and outgoing. The parking was free and not hard to find.”

• Good location, close to Raymond James.
• No refrigerator, wireless internet access costs extra.

• The room was beautiful. The price was right.
• Not on the beach.

“Staff was friendly. About an hour from most places I needed and wanted to go, luckily I rented a car. Would stay there again if I need to go to that area.”

• Great room, great staff.
• No vending machines and no fridge in the room.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is near the main attractions of Tampa and near to the airport. Bush Gardens is 8 minutes from there, as well as York City. With a 15 minute drive you are in St. Petersburg or Clearwater. In 5 minutes you are at the Buccaneers stadium. And the hotel is clean, the staff is very friendly and the room is awesome!”

• Convenient to airport. Very clean. Easy to find.
• Rooms a bit small. An older property.

“Very nice and helpful staff. Clean rooms and lobby area. Easy to find and very close to the airport. The price for the room was excellent and I feel I made a very wise decision.”

• hot tub not working low water level. Leak?

• Excellent location with shuttle service to where ever we wanted to go.
• The room was average. Friends had better accomodations at the Springhill Suites.

“As usual the Marriot was very clean. The lobby is very impressive however the rooms are very plain. Considering price this hotel usually charges, I think the rooms are over priced. There were internet hookups,we did not use them. There was no refridgerator in the room and seating was minimal, one easy chair and one desk chair. No table, eating take out or room service would be uncomfortable for 2 people.”

• It was conveniently located off of 275, close to International Plaza Mall and good restraunts
• Housekeeping did not make up our room (we stayed for two nights)

“It is in a great location...right off of I-275 and Dale Mabry. It is about a mile from International Plaza Mall which has great shopping and restraunts. The hotel was very clean and even has a Starbuck's in the lobby. The staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were great. Would definitely stay there again!”

• Convenient, clean and
  nice.
• Beds are too soft.

“This hotel is very convenient to the airport, nice, clean and attractive. However the beds are so soft if you have any back problems you will wake up feeling like worse than when you went to bed. Staff was all very nice, looked good, just was not comfortable for us.”

• It was well appointed and spotless. Brunch was great.
• Some staff was not friendly.

“Good value and close to airport. Taxi ride to downtown, however, was another matter. Instead of the $6-8 quoted by a staff member the cost was $20+. I was not too pleased and then we had to pay the $20+ again to get back!!!!”

• Clean, great location, amenities were good too. Family and business friendly.

“Would highly recommend to others. Restaurants were good, kids loved the pool, rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the airport shuttle. All staff was friendly.”

• The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with all of our requests.
• The spa (hot tub) was not functioning for our entire stay and there was a lack of effort to rectify the problem.

“The Marriott Tampa Westshore is conveniently located to most city attractions. The staff went out of their way to make my wife and I feel at home. The rooms were very clean, although usually not cleaned until late afternoon. If I had the chance to stay in Tampa again, I would consider this hotel a viable option.”

“Very nice hotel. A bit of a distance from the airport. The room was not clean. The tub and sinks had not been cleaned. It still had a soap scum rim in the bathtub and the sink. The carpet was full of lint and left overs from the previous occupant.”

“The staff of the hotel did a great job under the circumstances of hurricane Jeanne. The room was nice, a little on the small side. Overall though a pleasant experience.”

“The hotel was nice, but the water was turned off from 11am to after 11pm our second day. Bathrooms were reeking from human urine and waste during the heat of the day. My two year old son had diarrhea the latter part of the day and had to use a toilet filled solid human waste. We understand that things like this happen, but are very upset we were not informed ahead of time and arrangements made at another facility where clean restrooms and showers would have been available. I eventually purchased a different hotel for the remaining two nights of our stay in Florida.”
