“We aren't high maintenance but it was a waste of money. When we wanted to wash our hair we were told to walk to the ingles a mile away and buy shampoo. And, I needed internet for my studies but no one knew how to get it to work. We weren't expecting anything special...but this was just not good.” Jun 1, 2009 by

“Needs a general up fit, rooms have been abused by guests, non-smoking rooms used for smoking. Condition of facility has deteriorated considerably since staying there 5 months ago. Wireless internet is a $5.00 up charge, and the connection is extremely slow.” May 2, 2009 by
Dawn from Asheville,NC
“Easy access to the hotel, staff was helpful and friendly. Its a nice place for travelers who wants to cook in instead of eating out, perfect for business travelers near all the food places and the Asheville mall shopping etc The Baltimore house is less then 3 miles from the hotel.” Jan 7, 2009 by

“The place was easy to find just off the exit near gas and food places, staff was helpful when arrive the room had one problem couldn't close the curtains someone damaged the rods, so maintenance had to come into my room to halfway fix it. He said will have to order new rods for it to hold the curtains other then that it was comfortable room, clean bed, very nice plush, no problems with noise, my stay was welcomed with late check out. Now that was nice not having to rush half asleep on checkout I would recommend to others. This is a nice place to stay also has a IHOP in the building which is nice also has other restaurants near Applebee's etc. Enjoy all.” Oct 15, 2008 by

“Excellent place to stay. Very friendly staff. Wish I could have stayed longer.” Sep 8, 2008 by

“Plenty of parking space as you are greeted at the front desk to check in. All the workers greet you with a smile and will answer any questions you may have they will give directions to where your room would be located etc. the room is very roomy bathroom is not small perfect for anyone that has movement problems, also the room does have nice seating area and nice setup in the kitchen stove without the microwave oven, as you enter your room its really nice to have place to put your cloths in a dresser nice size TV its a bit small for the huge room. The grounds is kept neat and clean like I said plenty of parking for any type of car. Housekeeping was excellent fresh towels and sheets at your request pick up at the desk or have house keeper bring them into your room once a week they will come clean up the room real good if your needing more towels or such, just ask they will either have it ready at the desk or bring them to your room excellent service I would rate this hotel a 4 with a 2 star style hotel highly recommended to others who wants a place to stay that feels like a home! perfect for this enjoy your stay!” Sep 3, 2008 by

“I would consider the Extended Stay America Hotel for a return trip to Asheville. The location was convenient to major highways and to downtown Asheville. It was nice to have the kitchen to prepare some food in the room to save money on meals.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Dawn from Asheville, NC
“Not much to say but loved the place great location and private, the staff was helpful any way they could offered to help me with my dog when I broke my foot on their property until I was able to manage myself as for the hotel location easy access to exits to the hwy or the mall Asheville Mall plenty food options in the area I called it the Food mile Red lobster right across the road way.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Dan from Nashville, TN
“Great value for money, in an unattractive but practical part of town.” Aug 6, 2008 by

Barbara from Knoxville, TN
“The staff was very pleasant and easy to work with even though we were unable to stay in our assigned nonsmoking room because of some strong odor. The room we were moved to was adequate and clean, but was a smoking room. There was no pool and the TV was quite dinky. This hotel is fine for a short term stay for 1 or 2, but you wouldn't want to take a family with kids here.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Bill from Cary, NC
“It was more of a hassle than it should have been to check in.” Jul 14, 2008 by

“I, myself, has been using hotels for over a year now. Found ESA a great place to stay and stay without having to go out to eat every night, has an kitchen in the room, top stove without oven, microwave oven, full size refrigerator, even kitchen sink, with all the dishes, pots and pans, all that is needed to enjoy in a home, lots of room to move around in comfortable bed, Wi-Fi for Laptop, on site laundry reasonable $1 wash, $1 dry. The staff is excellent. If you need anything they will try to accommodate you. As for me I broken my left foot on the property and they helped me with just about anything to meet my needs. I will continue to use this hotel as I am between homes and I highly recommend others to give this place a try. Nice-quite-private, only drawback is no pool to enjoy.” Jun 27, 2008 by

“Finding this hotel was a big challenge. It is hidden behind a restaurant on a side street and there aren't adequate directional signs. Once I did find it, it was conveniently located. The internet connection was unstable but at least they didn't charge for it (although the web said they would) and they were willing to reset it when I asked. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was better than I'd expect. I really appreciated having a kitchen, being close to a grocery store, and having a home-cooked meal for a change.” May 30, 2008 by
Sherry from Kansas City, MO
“It met all my needs and was clean except they had forgotten to take out the trash. I liked the fact that I could prepare a light meal for myself and eat while working with my papers all spread out. There was ample room to work since there was a desk and small table at which to eat. The wooden furniture was nicked and unsubstantial, but the upholstered furniture appeared new and was quite comfortable. The bed was just the way I like it - hard. I slept well and awoke refreshed. I don't drink coffee and would have appreciated a tea bag, but for coffee drinkers there was everything they needed to get a jump start in the a.m. I will stay at Extended Stay America in the future.” May 27, 2008 by
Luba from Farmington Hills, MI
“Good value for the price, close to attractions and dining, very friendly and helpful staff.” May 21, 2008 by
Rick from Columbus, OH
“Nice hotel. Definitely close to all the action Downtown. Great for business travelers and couples. Rooms are cramped for extended stays with more than 2 people. Internet service is $9 per day. Pool is great. I was very annoyed that they had reserved premium parking spots for hybrid cars for no apparent reason, there were no plug-ins.” May 21, 2008 by
Tom from Manchester, CT
“Extended stays are not known for much other then a kitchenette a bed or two and hot water. This one had the smallest TV's I have ever seen in a room.” May 19, 2008 by
David from Nashville, TN
“Horrible. My husband and I had driven all night only to end up on a back one lane road. We drove up to where the directions told us to go and there was a building with no signs. The windows had been blacked out with spray paint and honestly I wouldn't let my dog stay there. It looked like the Bates hotel!” May 6, 2008 by
Chris
“Cannot recommend this hotel, except for the location. I thought (with the brand of the hotel) it would be better upkept. rundown, smelly, things broken.” Mar 27, 2008 by

“When I arrived the hotel grounds was appealing, guest service's office staff very friendly if I had any questions they answered right away said if need anything or just have a question feel free to contact them, have a pleasant stay. Also the housekeeping staff very pleasant helpful gather what I needed I am hearing impaired they also have a great service for the handicapped. The rooms for the handicapped are very accommodating for those in wheelchair or hearing impaired/deaf clients. I have been staying in hotels since July last year waiting on my home to be ready its the most wonderful experience I had at Extended Stay America the best quite enjoyable stay ,other hotels.” Mar 26, 2008 by

“Run down hotel although it looks nice on the outside. Kitchenette counter was held together by tape and the TV remote would not work. Room was large and could not see TV clear because it was so small. Never stay there again.” Mar 19, 2008 by

“It's clean with great location. I think, I'll choose this hotel again.” Jan 11, 2008 by

“The hotel was fine. No shampoos or conditioner toiletries in the bathrooms, etc. That seems a bit chintzy. A coffee maker was provided, but no coffee. It was functional and generally clean.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Justin from Charlote, NC
“I was not too happy at all. The location and price were great. However, the room smelled like body odor and we had to keep the windows open. We had to wait till almost 4:30 to check in to our room, when it was supposed to be 3:00 at the latest. We also had to go to the front desk any time we needed things (like shampoo) which was evidently not left in our room. It was almost as if someone had a done a "quick clean-up" literally 2 seconds before we walked in the door.” Nov 15, 2006 by
Tom
“I loved the location of this hotel! It was the closest to my favorite restaurants. It had a cook stove and a recliner. It felt like home. This is the best hotel, that I have stayed at so far!” Sep 6, 2006 by

“Great rooms helpful staff quiet location make it perfect especially for business travelers.” Jul 20, 2006 by
Tammy from Placerville, CA
“I was very dissatisfied with the service we received. When we arrived were told that, in spite of our confirmation, they had no rooms and were unable to accommodate us. So we were forced to seek rooms elsewhere at the last minute and ended up driving around hunting for a place to stay at whatever price was charged. Not acceptable service at all.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
