• I liked the general location and it was a very nice room.
• The view was not that good and we did not pay much for it. The breakfast bar was a little disappointing.

• Nice lobby, staff. Clean and modern room.
• Staff smoking outside back, then smelling up elevator. No gym, only cardio.

“I liked the hotel overall very much. Compared to other hotels I have stayed in. Hair conditioner not available, only shampoo. Staff smokers bring the smell in on clothes. Very apparent in the elevator. Bigger gym room with some type of weights or weight machine would be good.”

• This hotel was so smoky and a bit dirty.

was really not impressed with this facility, it was very smoky, the public area & room seemed subtitle dirty. The complimentary continental breakfast was scant on variety and could've been better attended to.”

• Has very friendly staff and the breakfast was pretty good.
• The hallways smelled like smoke, fortunately, the room did not.

“It was very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly, provided menus and maps for the area. Its a 10 mins drive to Siesta Key (if you want to be on the beach, you have to rent a beach house). The only bad part was the fire alarms went on at midnight our first night there. Also, some of the rooms are smoking rooms and you could smell smoke in the hallways. Overall, it was a great stay for the price.”

• The door to the room was open, making me feel a little uncomfortable when entering.

• The staff was super friendly and helpful.
• There was a smoking room right across from our non-smoking room, and we were constantly bombarded with the stench when we went out of our room.

“The location was wonderful. It was beautifully decorated, and much more opulent than we had expected it to be. We were over-all quite pleased, and we would book there again.”

• There really wasn't anything I didn't like.

“This hotel is definitely not your typical hotel. It¿s very modern and very classy for a liquate inn. I was super impressed with everything and the continental breakfast was awesome! My new husband and I will definitely be back to visit soon! ”

• Broken items in room and not fully clean.

“Good sized room bathroom clean very nice mannered staff living space/bedroom - not well vacuumed in several places - e.g. Under tables, near air conditioner bed cover stained (Nail polish (?) And grease/dirt) no toilet paper dispenser - just set on back of toilet rug stained (red cool-aid?).”

• It was beautiful and staff was very friendly.
• Everything was great. No problems.

“It is a good hotel to stay for the weekend and explore Sarasota. It is close to the museums of the area and the beaches. The staffs were great answering any questions and went out of their way to help the customer.”

• Comfortable bed, design of room, good free continental breakfast.
• Road noise, noise from slamming doors from adjoin rooms, toilet flushed weirdly, not enough cable channels.

“This was a very nice, clean, modern-looking room, with comfortable beds, nice fluffy towels, and a better-than-average continental breakfast. We could hear noise being on the street side.”

• The courtesy staff at the front desk. Awesome!
• Small bathroom.

“I would definitely stay here again, other La Quintas I have stayed in have not been as nice, but this location was outstanding. We wanted to go to a Greek restaurant and the front desk clerk was so helpful in researching and giving us three choices. Also the fact that my daughter and grandson came over as a surprise visit and the hotel accommodated them with a room at the same rate that I had booked. Also awesome pillows and beds.”

• It was pretty close to where we were working.
• Being remodeled a total mess. Room did not have a sofa bed as promised.

• Rooms were dirty and they are understaffed so the service is terrible.

“Do not be fooled by the exterior appearance of this hotel. This hotel is poorly staffed and therefore in sub par condition. The rooms were dirty and the service non-existent. I would under no circumstances stay at this hotel again. ”

• Refrigerator and microwave in the room, clean and elegant hotel
• I liked everything..I was there on business..it was prefect

“Ice bucket in room had trash in it from previous occupant. Tissue holder was empty for the entire 3 day stay. Drawers in chest did not stay in place when opened. Could not use 2 out of 3. Toilet backed up during the night and the staff could not find a plunger. Had to use restroom in lobby.”

• The room had a refrigerator and micro wave oven
• tile floors in front of elevator on upper level floors

“over all the hotel was ok. It was dated with old furniture that didn't fit the room. The tile in front of the elevator was quite noisy. Would not like to have a room near the elevator because of the noise. The bathroom tub and fixtures were pretty worn. The room was very clean and neat as well as the fridge. and micro wave.”

“The Wellesley Inn of Sarasota was a huge disappointment. Not only was the price *above* that which we had paid for a stay at a Disney Resort hotel (much higher than a four star), the service was lacking, the non-smoking room stunk of smoke...and when we were moved to a new room, the floor was wet from a leaky air conditioning unit, and we were told that this was 'normal' and that we should put towels on the floor. High price, bad service, bad room. NOT recommended!”
