• Good views of the harbor.
• Would have liked an in room refrigerator/bar.

“Not quite as upper scale as I thought it would be. Self parking was free and it is in a great location, next to the harbor and close to Siesta Key beach. The room was okay, nothing great.”

• The cleanliness and location.
• In room morning coffee. This hotel went cheap and forces you to purchase from bar also towel, check-out at pool.

“Overall, it was nice, however after staying at other Hyatt hotel chains, this was below average.”

• Convenient location to airport and final destination.
• Unclean and stained floors in the room.

“Hotel was in great location and clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating upon check-in and with my request prior to my stay for 2 beds versus 1 king bed. Fantastic hotel for the Priceline price.”

• Balcony rooms with Marina view.
• Small bathroom and floor tiling in this area esily becomes dirty.

“Convenient for downtown Sarasota (can walk to restaurants). Short drive to malls and St Armands Circle and gulf coast beaches. Pool barman not very pleasant with over zealous security at weekends in pool area to stop non-residents (fair)no coolers allowed at pool. Pleasant pool with guest laundry nearby. $2 per load in washer and same for dryer. Difficult to get enough quarters!”

• Beautiful location and pool, terrific staff, extremely clean and well taken care off

“This was a last minute booking because I was flying out of Sarasota Airport. When I walked in I thought I had gone into the wrong hotel because it was so elegant. From check in to check out the staff went out of their way to make it a wonderful experience. The hotel is well maintained and in a beautiful location on a marina with rooms that face the bay as well. Food was a little pricey $11 for buffalo chicken wings but they were very good and a large portion.”

• Awesome pool and spa. Comfortable, clean room. Hotel willing to upgrade from house room to nice room with balcony and bay view.
• The hotel has shockingly thin walls/floors/ceilings, particularly for a property so thoroughly upgraded recently. Noisy neighbors were quite evident.

“This hotel was our first preference when browsing for a two-day anniversary getaway in Sarasota, but found the hotel's price to be prohibitive. Can't say enough good things about the staff, particularly Sarah and Amanda who we dealt with on the telephone when making the room request -- Amanda was gracious enough to put us in a room with a balcony overlooking the bay. The hotel has the nicest pool and most unique whirlpool I've seen in quite a while -- despite not having the kids, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed its use.”

• The cleanliness of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff, and the location.
• There was nothing I disliked about this hotel.

“My room was deluxe with a great view. The cleaning staff was efficient and met my special requests quickly and graciously. I ordered room service late in the evening and it was delivered promptly as promised. The front desk always addressed me by name when I telephoned, and the valet staff was courteous and prompt. I was very impressed and happy with everything.”

• It is beautiful and so inviting!
• Even better if a regfrigerator in the room.

“I have stayed here twice this year a week each time. I just love the location and the beautiful view from the room. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The kids love the pool. I can take my kids to breakfast at the restaurant for a reasonable cost and get an enourmous meal. It truly is great all around!”

• lack of luxurious (or high thread count) linens - they were pretty rough.

“Staff was great; Free parking or Valet parking for a fee; Pool was great for small kids due to depth began at 1 inch and gradually sloped (to 6+ feet) - pool also had cool grotto-like area with waterfalls; Marina adjacent to hotel; Very nice hotel.”

• Nothing was included, WiFi or free coffee in the lobby.

“The bedding was very comfortable. The public lobby rooms provided lovely areas to sit and relax. The rooms are well appointed for what is a renovated and older property.”

“The hotel is located right off 41, so its easy to get to, and in a good location. It has a great view of the water. Overall, good hotel. The only drawback was that the beds were not the best. Worth 3.5 stars.”

• The staff was great. Attractive rooms and had a great view. Close to airport.

“We went with another family. Stayed only one night till our Condo was free of renters. Loved the hotel. Close to everything it Sarasota. Wonderful staff great pool bar. Teenagers loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was awesome and so was the waitress. Highly recommend.”

• The staff was absolutely accommodating and acknowledged my kids everywhere!
• Internet fees were high.

“This hotel was clean and beautiful. The pool area is very resortish with music, the Hurricane Hut, and waterfalls! The staff is very accommodating and were wonderful to my kids. The massage therapists are terrific. The valet quickly became a favourite of my kids. They loved him.”

• There was no kitchenette in our room. We expected at least a refridgerator and microwave.

“Excellent experience at the Hyatt in Sarasota. They serve Starbucks coffee! Excellent customer service. Wish we'd had an opportunity to visit the pool but the baby was sick. We'd love to go back and stay longer next visit.”

• Stiff sheets, bed not the best.

“We had to wait an hour and a half because people did not check out of their rooms till 3:30 pm luggage had to be stored as we met friends for dinner. I had to change clothes in public bathroom.”

“Pool area is very nice. Lobby is loud. Restaurant is average food at best, but prices are high. I did not like that they did not offer free wireless. Had to wait until 6:30 AM to get coffee from restaurant.”

• Very clean, nice looking, staff was friendly and accommodation.
• Pool closed too early.

“I was very pleased for the price. We were given an upgrade to balcony with out even asking. The hotel was extremely neat and clean. All staff was professional, plenty of convenient free parking. The only thing I did not care for was that the pool closed at dusk and security would not even let us sit out site after 10 pm. I thought the food prices were high, but we did not eat there.”

• The waterfront view was very nice. The waterfall at the pool made for a pleasant background noise.
• The color scheme was way to 60's.

• One restaurant was closed - presumably because it was "low season."
