• Great design and gorgeous decorations.
• Room was reeking in fragrances from cleaning products. Asphyxiating.

“The hotel overall was a beautiful and pleasant place to arrive to after my long drive. But I usually select this type of hotel because they do not use the strong smelling cleaning agents used in cheap hotels. Being asthmatic this presented a problem for me when going to sleep. I was disappointed that they had used those products. They should have a choice for chemically sensitive people like me.”

• It was beautiful, and very luxurious.
• Weren't allowed to use a luggage cart without a porter. We prefer transport our own luggage, but were made to feel uncomfortable about it.

• Friendly staff and great rooms.
• Whirlpool was dirty on walls of it. Not expected.

“Great for business travel. Although I did not use pool, it looked great. They also have practice golf hole, which was unexpected. Great price for what you got. Will be back.”

• Beautiful, comfortable, great location.
• Hotel pool closed for cleaning for 3 days! (resort pool was open - shuttle required).

“Beautiful, comfortable, great location - on the water, secluded, but ten minutes from everything. Very friendly staff. Restaurants good but expensive, plenty of good restaurants a short drive away. Valet parking available at $16 a day, but self-park very easy and close. Couldn't visit nature preserve this trip - next time!”

• Clean and comfortable. Helpful staff and friendly service.
• One of our dinners was a disaster but the hostess comped it and made it right.

“We've stayed here several times. We love the location, near the interstate and an easy commute to downtown. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. We have never been disappointed here.”

“This hotel was great, the location is far away from the downtown tampa, the road construction is awful, the roads are not on any GPS plan on getting lost and the hotel does not compensate for it.”

• The marshland, walking trails, shuttle to airport.
• The rooms are outdated, expected more for the price and a 4 star rating.

“The hotel has excellent service, is clean, but the rooms are outdated. They offer free shuttles to the airport and local mall. However, they are not walking distance to anything.”

• It was really nice, overall. Nothing really stands out. All service was really helpful.
• Way too pricey for anything at hotel. Food, drinks, laundry service were priced like Manhattan, New York.

“I think this hotel is one of the nicest in Tampa. I think that the hotel forgets that it is in Tampa, not New York City. 12 dollars for jeans to be washed, 16 dollars for a crown and coke? All of the employees were super friendly and helpful, but if you have any sort of budget, you will need to leave the hotel to do anything. Enjoy some of the other restaurants in Tampa or St Petersburg before reserving at the restaurants on location. The swimming pool/hot tub were similar to a 2-3 star hotel, which was disappointing, but they were not really strict about staying past hours, as long as you kept quiet.”

• Convenient Location to the Airport.
• Service is an issue, No early breakfast.

“I booked the Hyatt repeatedly via Priceline and for the price it is very reasonable. However the Hotel has serious service issues. The staff is not informed about the most simple aspects of the facilities like Pool, Restaurant hours, Transportation. Also the Airport Shuttle starts at 5:30am. Not very handy as the first flights leave TPA at exactly that time. Taxi is 15$. The brand name Hyatt saves a few standards but cant cover everything. The Restaurant Armani is ok, did not try Oyster catchers. There is some road construction around the hotel which does not influence the stay but certainly does not look pretty.”

“The hotel is beautiful and very close to everything! The only negative would be it took us about 20 minutes to figure out how to get to the hotel while we could see it, even with a GPS. Staff is very pleasing, decor in restaurants and lobby were nice but not so much in the room.”

• The ambiance, the staff, the pool, complimentary parking.

“The hotel is very attractive. Nice rooms, and nice atmosphere in the public areas. The both pools were warm and had a deep end. The Oystercatcher restaurant had excellent food, but VERY expensive and not top-notch service. The food in the hotel restaurant was only average and expensive.”

• I would like a free breakfast or the ability to get a quick inexpensive one. Also you had to pay for the internet.

• Everyone was kind and respectful in every turn I took. I felt very welcome coming from another country to a strange place.
• Guy in front door ignored my departure, my hands were full. Thats all.

“I was impressed on the overall quality of the hotel and consistency of all the employers. Everyone was so helpful and willing to assist in whatever need we had. Actually our stay was absolutely one of the best experiences we had on an overall evaluation. I have no complaints except the ugly salad bowl for eight dollars! But no big deal. My country has fresh fruit galore I'm spoiled! Thank you for this special service.”

“In need of renovations, you will need a chiropractic adjustment after sleeping in the beds. The big old box of a TV needs to go. The restaurants are supposed to be great, they might of been back in the day.”

• The Hyatt was very clean, and the staff was very cordial and professional. The value was extraordinary.

“The Hyatt is perfectly situated on Tampa Bay so that accessing roads to Tropicana Field in St. Pete and Clearwater Beach were very easy. The rooms are exceedingly clean, and the staff was very cordial. If one seeks a centrally located hotel for leisure and relaxation, this is it.”

• Late check out (noon).
• Road construction makes its hard to find. Airline takeoff noise.

“Hard to find. GPS is a most. Very pricey to dine on site. Could not even get a free cup of coffee except for the tea and coffee bags in the room. Landscape crew started up their chainsaws and wood chipper at 8 am. Cost $9.95 to access internet. The cottage area where we stayed is just beautiful.”

• It was very hard to find the entrance or cut off to get into the hotel, Westin employee gave up directions.

“Beautiful, once we found it. Road signs where not good, the road is very busy so better signs are needed, to find the exit road coming from St. Petes area.”

• The service was amazing. It was such a beautiful place. The tile/hot tub could use an update, but the decor surrounding the pool made up for it.
• Self serve check in put me in a smoking room. The staff switched my room, & wowed me with a beautiful corner room with the most amazing view.

“It was definitely the service that separates it from other hotels. The people at this hotel showed that the place was lovely, the decor of the room was stunning, and we felt so pampered.”

• The view, staff, hotel room all were great!
• Vicinity to the many highway construction projects. This is temporary though. So not a big deal!

“I was concerned that this hotel would not live up to the 4 star, but was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the quality of the room that I was given. My request for a mini-fridge was granted without fuss or extra fees. I enjoyed my stay although I did not spend very much time at the hotel. I would recommend this property and I would stay there again!”

• The rooms and the grounds were lovely. Great views of the bay from the hotel.
• The only thing I would have liked was access to a refrigerator in the Casita.

• Road construction at hotel entrance. Without the Hyatt blue signs, finding the entrance would have been difficult.
