• Wonderful staff and clean bed that was very comfortable.
• The food was not the greatest for the price.

“I would definitely stay at this hotel again but just would not eat here. The hotel is located around many other restraunts and not far from entertainment. I had a lot of fun here.”

• The rooms were large; included a living room and bedroom.
• The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable.

“It was located near the airport and if you are driving around Tampa for the first time the highways are a nightmare with all of the construction going on. You would be better off staying in the part of town that you will be spending the most time in. The suite was large and spacious but the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable.”

• Nice sized suite with large sitting/dining area.

“Beautiful lobby area, friendly help and warm fresh cookies, updated suite with large sitting and dining area, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker, loved it all. Our room overlooked the nice sized pool area and waterfront. Didn't have time to eat at hotel, but grabbed a complimentary apple in the morning.”

• The hammock by the pool was spectacular!
• Accessing through the utility room was disappointingly dirty.

• Room was very spacious, clean, and on a little body of water.
• Was not too happy about the restaurant. I waited too long but the waiter was very polite and helpful.

• The air conditioner in the bedroom was rather noisy.

“It was nice looking the grounds and parking lot were clean and well maintained, the rooms were large with coffee maker microwave and a small refrigerator, the beds were king size and very comfortable, the food was very good a little pricey, the pool was well maintained and they also have an exercise room!”

• Restaurant Staff Horrid! All 3 days with different meals no service was kind.

“Double Tree is beautiful on the inside and the Fitness room was just perfect for business. The rooms large and loved the complimentary cookies and lemonade! Restaurant seemed upscale but waited more than 30min for a table with only 3 tables that had visitors and 3 waiters on duty could not handle it! Imagine if it were full! The waiter was rude when my table of 8 finally sat. Not to mention he only came to give us water after being there a total of 45min when I walked to the front desk staff to state my disappointment! I dined at the Restaurant in the hotel and poolside and both I had to ask again for a server after more than a half hour wait! I could not understand why a hotel this nice would hire a staff who cared little of their guests!”

• The bed was comfortable.
• I had a non smoking room and my room smelled like smoke.

“The staff was friendly and helpful, but I arrived at the TPA airport after 11:00 pm which is when the hotel van stops running. The taxi ride was $15. My bed was very comfortable, but even though it was a non smoking room, it smelled like smoke.”

• I loved the room layout and size. I liked that the bedroom could be separated from the living room. I loved the view and shuttle service.
• No balcony access. Limited dining choice.

“Location is great. Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating at any hour of the day. Loved the shuttle service to and from the airport and other close locations. I loved the access to the business center which had multiple computers to use. The view from the room was great as well as the location of the pool. The only draw back I could think of is there are no balconies and the dining on the premises is limited. However, there is a Bahama Breeze and Landry's restaurant that is within walking distance and there is free shuttle service to other restaurants as well.”

• The rooms were spacious, well appointed, clean; the view of the bay wonderful.
• Neither my wife nor I had any complaint whatsoever.

“The hotel is situated so that all rooms have a view of the bay. Both the outer sitting/living room and the bedroom had large flat screen televisions. Furnishings were tasteful and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. If we return to Tampa, we would definitely come again.”

“Staff & room, we were given what seemed like a Queen sized bed. Our room was right next to the elevator and we heard the comings and goings of everyone who got on or off our floor morning, noon & night. The Tampa Bay view was awesome, hotel was very clean. The staff was wonderful, helpful & knowledgeable of the area.”

“I was very surprised at the cleanliness and amenities at this hotel. I did not expect a suite. The rooms were huge and very modern. 2 flat screen TVs, refrigerator and Microwave. Granite counter tops and new furnisher. This was supposed to only be a 2.5 star hotel but I would easily give it 3 stars.”

• We enjoyed the view and the pool area.
• The cookies that we were served (twice, having already complained about them once) were burnt!

“This hotel was beautifully situated. The rooms were very large, with a full living room separate from the bedroom, and a complete wet bar. The hotel was well equipped with a workout room and nice pool area. We did not get to eat at the restaurant but the smells were inviting.”

• Room size much bigger than usual hotel with complete amenities.
• No free internet connection and breakfast also little outdated on the exterior.

“This is the best hotel we stay during our last trip. Gorgeous Tampa bay view with expanded room size. The room is much larger than usual. It comes with microwave and refrigerator. Also has extra study room and living room with sofa bed. Two flat screen TV provided in both bedroom and living room area.”

• The room smell moldy and was not properly cleaned.

“I've stayed at this hotel many times, but this is the first time I was initially given a smoking room, which I quickly changed. The new room was by the staff door and smelled of water damage. There were bottle caps and discarded dental picks behind the night stand.”

“Our experience at this hotel was great. We were greeted with a fresh, warm and delicious cookie. Our room was clean and looked great with marble tops. Very comfortable and cozy room. Only complaint was that the A/C unit was in the bedroom section and it rattled and vibrated very loudly!”

• No breakfast and dining to expensive and not many choices 40 for breakfast 30 for poolside lunch.

“I took my mom to visit our daughter in the used her granddaughter for mothers day the rooms were great and spacious no balcony that was disappointing the meals were to expensive and the food was not that good the pool was a little dirty but all in all I would recommend this hotel.”
