• The bed was very comfortable.
• Our 2 yr. old found a half used tampon under the bed.

• Very comfortable beds and helpful, friendly staff.

“It was clean and quiet with very friendly and helpful staff. Close to stores and restaurants. Good hot breakfast selections and ample, dedicated dinning space. The only odd thing was the turbo toilet that sprung back and hit your hand as soon as you went to flush.
”

• Desk staff was very helpful and friendly.
• More basic.

“I'd describe this hotel as overall very good. It's not as nice as the newer chains, but it was a very good place to stay for the price, clean and acceptable in every way. I would describe it as excellent basic.”

• Only one elevator, breakfast dining area too small.

“This hotel met my needs pretty well. The free breakfast can be chaotic if you eat late. This hotel really needs a second elevator.”

• The room was nice with 2 beds & a pullout sofa. Great for a family of 5.
• The staff was really unprofessional both in appearance and behavior. They weren't rude, just not clean or professionally dressed and not knowledgeable.

“Overall the hotel was nice. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. The staff wasn't the best. One gentleman working the desk didn't look clean and wasn't very knowledgeable about the area. I wondered if he didn't actually work at the desk but was filling in. The lady at check in also took several minutes to help me when no one else was in line. She was just busy on her computer but barely acknowledged me. The staff didn't seem to belong at a hotel as nice as this one.”

• The carpet and the beds was very soft.
• It said pet friendly but, it really meant pets under 20 lbs.

• It was very nice to have a fridge and a microwave in the room.
• The bathroom was extremely small. Absolutely no room for 2 people at one time.

“The hotel has recently been renovated and is very pleasing. The room was large enough, but the bathroom was very small. The fridge, microwave and coffeemaker were very welcome amenities. I do recommend this hotel for the economy conscious traveler. The staff were 100% wonderful!”

“This hotel just completed a renovation. It is very clean and comfy. We had a good stay. Close to Downtown Asheville and other attractions.”

• Bed was comfortable and lots of room.
• Bathtub needed scrubbing and there was hair in it.

“The lobby area is nice and the hotel would be a great buy if they would clean the bathroom. That was a huge turnoff.”

• They are sold out allot (understandable) have to call months in advance!

“The staff here is out of this world. Very helpful and attentive to their guests, and not just to my family but I saw them converse and help out other guests just the same. Great with directions and suggestions for places to eat. Social hour was fun, nothing better than free beer. My kids had fun at the indoor pool. The bed was very comfortable, I still have to call them and ask what kind it was so I could get one for my home! I had to go to a meeting in Raleigh; location is right off the main interstate which was so convenient. I'll be back!”

• It's in a beautiful city.
• It's dirty and quite worn.

“This hotel is not one Id book again. When we arrived, the room (a nonsmoking one) reeked of cigarettes. We objected and were sent to another room. We entered the room and found left over take out Chinese food from previous occupants. In our new room the porcelain on the tub was worn off in the bottom and looked dirty. I scrubbed it and it did no good. The iron provided for the hotel was inoperative. The hotel has one elevator for 5 floors. During busy periods it can take 10 minutes to get from the top floor to the lobby. The outside of the hotel looks very inviting. The inside, though is tired and worn and smells of tobacco.”
