  • Location was great! Pool was awesome and staff was nice
  • There was a huge mix up at check in. Rooms weren't ready and everyone was waiting in line for around 2 hours

“Hotel itself was really nice the only problem was the rooms weren't being turned around fast enough for the next set of guest to check in. Some guests actually cancel and went to at different hotel.”

  • Nice bedding, very large room.
  • Bid $50 but the tacked on 20 for parking.

“Site is downtown and parking is $12/nite. Large rooms and nice bedding. Has HDTV in room with real HD channels. No golf channel though. Internet is $10/nite. No movie channels on TV. Pool is ok but no staff during my stay in June 2009. Can lap swim which is nice.”

  • It is in a rather old shabby part of town.

“Very user friendly and with the Priceline bid it was an excellent bargain. I am not the only person in our association that stayed in this facility with the help of Priceline, without you, the reservations staff really sucked! But then, I don't even think they were at the same location!”

  • It was very clean and the staff was exceptionally trained and very friendly.
  • First time I ever had to pay to use the business center to access my e-mails. Did not like at all.

  • Comfortable, luxurious rooms and wonderful location in downtown St. Pete.

“We stay here to go to Rays games. The location on Tampa Bay across from Progressive Energy ball park in downtown St. Pete and luxury of the hotel provides such a relaxing and comfortable experience. Really nice pool and fitness center, spa and Starbucks. This is one of our favorite places.”

  • Location. Safe area.
  • No pool bar. Extra $12 parking.

“My wife and I went to the Beer Festival at the Mahaffey Theater which is directly across the street. Then had dinner at Central Oyster Bar. We took the free shuttle but realized it is only a 4 minute walk. After dinner went to Al Frescos (sp) for a drink, then Ceviche. Short walk back to the hotel and felt safe doing it. No pool bar which was very disappointing for the hotel rating. $12 parking charge. King bed room was spacious and even had a small bay view. Free shuttle the next day to the Rays game. I am not complaining except the pool bar.”

  • The rooms were beautiful and beds the most comfortable.
  • Wireless internet is not included in the room rate.

“I was very disappointed that I had to pay an extra amount for internet access in my room. I also received a business package at the hotel and was charged for the receipt of the package. I phoned the front desk 2 times during the day and was told that the package was not received yet. After checking on delivery through the tracking number, I discovered that the package had been delivered 6 hours earlier - even before my first call. It took the hotel staff an additional 45 minutes to locate my package. The hotel was upscale, but nickel and dimed me at every opportunity. The staff varied from pleasantly incompetent to very helpful and friendly. The beds at all of the Hilton properties that I've stayed at are the most comfortable of any other chain that I've used.”

The mattress cover was incredibly filthy. After I complained, the housekeeping promptly changed the linen and I was given a pass for complimentary cocktails and breakfast.”

“The hotel was close to my business. It provided excellent accommodations, and service. Room was kept very clean each day I was there. The waiter staff provided excellent service. Food was delicious. Overall, my stay was very pleasant! Highly recommend the Hilton Hotel Bayfront to any traveler staying in St. Petersburg.”

  • We had to pay extra to get a refrigerator in the room, the pool was not clean, housekeeping never made it to our room although we left the room all da.

“The hotel seemed nice when we checked in, we were given a room with a view on the pier, it was very nice, and there was a blood spot on the bottom sheet, which indicates that it has not been changed from the previous occupiers. There was no refrigerator in the room. I travel frequently; this was the first time I get a room without a refrigerator. The second day of our stay, we left the room from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, we came back, the room was as is, not cleaned.”

  • AC broke in first room, second room had broken shower.

“My wife and I were very pleased at first to the room and the view. The AC in the room doesn't blow cold air and the room was 80 degrees at night keeping us awake. We were moved to another room with a handicapped bathroom. The shower sprayed water all over the floor and the bathroom was set up for a person in a wheelchair with very short fixtures. Made it very uncomfortable for someone of normal height.”

  • Small, inadequate seating for bar area.

“This is an excellent hotel for anyone having business in St. Pete or wanting to visit the down town area. Extremely clean. Staff very well trained. Excellent on site parking (outside) with no charge or need for valet. Food in restaurant was way above average for most hotels. Nice location near minor league ball park and Rays stadium. Walking distance to Central Avenue shopping district. Easy access to and from I - 275 but helpful to have Magellan or similar for moving around down town area with one way streets, etc.”

  • Used soap left in the shower, and the back of the room door had oil running down it from the above hinge.

“The pool area was disgusting and I am honestly not a picky person. The pool had not been cleaned as numerous bugs and cigarette butts where floating about. Trash was evident around the pool and in the beds. The pool bathroom had not been cleaned; there was urine on the lid and the same stain was there the next day. I never spoke to any manager because I kept thinking that someone on the staff would notice as they walked by several times to check the pool towel supply.”

“I overall had a good stay. Housekeeping was very polite, professional and were always there when I needed something. I was not impressed to pay for parking. When I had an issue and needed a phone number and some assistance from the front desk, they were not very helpful by any means. As I was leaving I was a solo traveler and needed help carrying my bags out and they were not helpful with that either. I had called yet again to the front desk to ask for assistance and they claimed to have sent someone, but they had not shown up which was a waste of my time. When I had first arrived to the hotel they were great about my luggage bringing it up to my room for me and everything. Guess that gentleman wasn't working when I left!”

  • Catered to us as a family and our needs for a crib, breakfast, and towels.
  • Nothing, the hotel was great. I wouldn't change anything.

  • Everything was as expected.
  • The $12/day charge for parking.

“It's the Hilton. It is overpriced luxury. The sheets are soft. The mattress is firm. The moisturizing bath soap is boxed. The morning newspaper is always outside your hotel door. The staff is well dressed and polite. Bowls of oranges decorate the hotel's lobby. In other words, it is a hotel for businessmen i.e. those on expense accounts.”

  • Great location, great staff, would love to visit again. St. Petersburg is a great city.
  • Watermarks on ceiling near air conditioner.

“Would love to come visit this hotel again, most problems were minor, and/or quickly resolved. Staff was very attentive and made sure everything was satisfactory or better at all times. Right in the middle of everything in St. Pete, and near I-175 for quick access to everything in the Tampa bay area.”

“This hotel was terrible! Sink in the bathroom didn't drain, no towels in room. Room didn't get cleaned first day, second day we came back to find the room not cleaned again., we had to call the front desk and cleaners finally arrived at 6pm. Couldn't get a receipt when we went to check out because they were out of ink. Never any apologies, staff didn't care and didn't pretend to.”

  • Room was dirty. Carpet and bathroom was mold.

“This hotel was in a great location, but for being a Hilton it did not meet the "Hilton" standard. Run down and in need of work. Pool area was nice but, once again needed work. Bar and restaurant area seemed nice. Room, carpet terrible, air did not work well and mold was all over the sink.”

  • Spotless - clean - upscale - very nice.
  • Location - not a lot going on - places to eat outside hotel etc.

“Great for the business traveler or conference holder. Clean friendly - great service. Parking rate is high and should be waived for guests that are staying at the facility. If you pay to stay there you should not have to pay additional money to park there - at least not 25 dollars.”
