“Breakfast bar was too small for size of hotel. Would help to add more locations through-out the hotel. Food choices were too limited, we have enjoyed better at other Comfort Inns and closed too early, so we didn't get to eat on second day. Hallway outside our room smelled funny, noisy, smoky in main wing. However, our room was clean, and free from odors. Safety lock was broken. Safety box was available in closet. Heated pool and whirlpool was enjoyable. Bar and dancing music was enjoyed. Close to Cedar Point, convenient to local restaurants and gas stations. Busy seasonally. Price was reasonable for off season.” Aug 30, 2009 by
Lee from Fishers,IN
“The beds could have been more comfortable. Overall, it was a good place for the price. It was clean and the breakfast was pretty good, but could have used some more fruit. It was pretty close to Cedar Point too.” Aug 29, 2009 by
Korrine from Kalamazoo,MI
“The actual hotel was attractive. The Staff were very nice and helpful. The room itself was not kept up on. The bathroom fan was hanging out of the ceiling, the wallpaper was falling off the walls. I wouldnt go back.” Aug 14, 2009 by
Joseph from Park Ridge,IL
“The lobby was very nice and made me believe the room would be jsut as nice. As we entered the room it smelled terrible, it was a smoking room and we though we could put up with it for the night. We left and got food and when we returned realized there we stains on the carpet which appeared to be puke. Stains on the comforter. a large cut in the carpet next to the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was a hot tub in the room but it did not have running water. I am not a very clean neat freak but the room was disgusting.” Jul 19, 2009 by
Lisa from Lexington,NC
“Housekeeping did not occur - beds made, clean towels, etc. Had to call front desk 3 times for clean towels before we received them. Very large, resort location hotel. Pools were not adequate for the size of the hotel and the guests using facilities. Jets did not work in whirlpool. Served cold hard-boiled eggs at complimentary breakfast. Asked about whether there was a microwave and was told that it had been stolen and not replaced. Would not recommend.” Jun 25, 2009 by
Carole from East Moline,IL
“Beds were hard, but after a long day of riding roller coasters we slept well. Deluxe breakfast was just some waffles, fruit and cereal...no biscuits and gravy, and it was packed which made the lines very long. About a 20 minute ride to the park. 10 minutes to the mall. Eat @ Cheers at the mall...good food, bar atmosphere, but reasonable prices.” Jun 19, 2009 by
Jennifer from Pickerington,OH
“For the price we would stay here again.” Jun 19, 2009 by
Pam from Charleston,WV
“Most Comfort Inns I have stay in the beds were wonderful, these beds at this Comfort Inn were the worse I have ever slept in. The price was worth it, but not any more. I had to pay more for a night that I didn't book on Priceline which was not good. The line in the breakfast bar was too long and you couldn't get in.” May 26, 2009 by
Nita from Forest,MS
“I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The price is very reasonable, it is in a good location and my family felt secure here. The staff were the most accommodating and friendliest we've ever dealt with. The pool area was always clean and big enough for several people to swim at a time. The only negative I would have is the jets in the jacuzzi didn't seem to work good but it was still nice. My family, which consists of myself, my husband and 3 teenage kids were all very comfortable especially with the extra double bed in the room. We also enjoyed the access to the internet which my kids utilized. Thanks again for a very accommodating stay!” May 11, 2009 by
Leslie from Columbus,OH
“The staff was wonderful, the hotel is showing it's age and during the summer is very kid friendly. The room was fine but there was no fresh fruit or yogurt at the breakfast bar, just donuts and make your own waffles.” Mar 19, 2009 by
Tom from Norwalk,OH

“If you are a family, it's a great place to stay if you don't mind getting your own towels. It was a beautiful pool side experience.” Sep 14, 2008 by
Al from Columbus, OH
“Good access to freeway, business strip and amusement park area. Beware of dirty rooms, smelly rooms. This is a vacation destination.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Lisa from Cable, OH
“Not bad in a pinch but because of the hard beds & inconveniences I would not stay there again. Too many options available.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Teresa from Ada, MI
“This is a decent hotel to stay in if you're not planning on being there much. The hot tub water was dirty, couldn't even see through it. The continental breakfast wasn't very good. But if you're going to Cedar Point or something and just need a place to sleep it's adequate and for a decent price.” Sep 2, 2008 by

“Was not impressed with hotel at all, would not stay there again, star rating is Sep 1, 2008 by
Rebecca from Chatham, ON CA
“Clean, close to shopping, good breakfast, good restaurants were nearby.” Aug 31, 2008 by
Jan from Hudsonville, MI
“Enjoyed the breakfast, although would have like to see some yogurt as an option.” Aug 30, 2008 by
Laura from Sterling Heights, MI
“The pool area was a mess. No responsible guests or staff to wipe down the tables after eating. There was food all over the ground and when your barefoot it sticks to your feet. No towels available. You had to use the towels from your room then exchange them at the front desk for dry ones. If you did not do this, you had no towels for the shower, and there was a nice little note in your room reminding you that any missing towels will be charged to your credit card. The front desk couldn't keep up with the laundry so we waited until 2 am for them to be delivered. We loved the semi-private balcony though. Our friends were in the room next to us and the balcony was shared between the two rooms. Beds were comfy. Breakfast is only for the early risers. We got up at 10 am and it was long gone!” Aug 29, 2008 by
Lisa from Strongsville, OH
“I would never frequent this hotel ever again. I was unable to get any sleep because of the bar right outside, loud guests; beds were hard as a brick and no towels. 3 lights weren't even working when we arrived at 8:30 PM when the hotel was already booked. Not recommended for anyone who wants sleep or comfort.” Aug 25, 2008 by
Joyce from Clarkston, MI
“Good for a night's sleep.” Aug 24, 2008 by
Mary from Chatham, ON CA
“This hotel was certainly much better than many in the area. The only complaint I had was that it would have been nice to have the breakfast go until 10:30 or so as I have teenage kids and they sleep in.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Marie from Toronto, ON CA
“The front desk staff was great, people can only do so much. Much work done on keeping the hallways clean however what can you do with the guests that don't care about where they throw their garbage or chips. All in all it wasn't a bad experience. The housekeeping staff was great & did their best to clean our room.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Debbie from Greenwood, IN
“1. The room was very dirty. Hair noted in bathroom, corners of shower and tub caked of black mildew. Horrible smell to the room. Many visible water stains on ceiling tiles. Ceiling tiles broken. 2. Hair dryer and iron in room didn't work. When asked staff for replacement, I was told basically too bad. They didn't have any extra to use. 3. The indoor hot tub water was yellowish and cloudy in color. I have honestly never seen something like it, a lot of scum caked around the tiles. 4. Handicap room, which was fine except the shower nozzle that is supposed to be adjustable up and down, did not stay up. Didn't work out well for my 6'3 boyfriend. 5. When asked at check in about extending our stay another night (obviously this was before we saw the conditions of the room) we were told that it was no problem and to just come down in the morning and let them know. We did not want to stay, we inquired and told by the manager that we spoke to an international student that really didn't know and just said yes. They were very rude. Please do not recommend this hotel to anyone, not worth the price.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Tonya from Vassar, MI
“Not a bad place to stay if you are only sleeping there or plan on being there a short time.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Tammie from Brooklyn, MI
“Thought it would be cleaner. Good for the price, I really shouldn't complain. The staff was friendly. There was no room service or menu for there restaurant in the room at all. And when our TV broke no-one ever came to fix it. And with 2 teenage boys that's a disaster!” Aug 19, 2008 by
Joy from Cleveland, OH
“This is a great family hotel for Sandusky activities. This hotel looks better than most in this area and has a nice outdoor pool area. Complimentary breakfast is good, but get there early. Prepare for thin walls and okay room conditions. Towels resemble sandpaper.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 17, 2008 by

“The hotel was good but don't expect breakfast to be. Your better off going out and buying breakfast. The person at the bar tender was the best.” Aug 14, 2008 by
T. G. from Columbus, OH
“I would not choose this hotel again. Everything was old. The carpet circa 1970 green & orange, the wall paper was moldy in the bathroom, our TV was so old if you touched it, it would mess up the reception, the phone was like the one at my grandma's house in 1978, the clock wasn't plugged up so we plugged it in and it didn't work either. There was dust in the corners and lamps. Our room was by the smoking rooms (I thought all of Ohio was non smoking indoors) and there were guests lounging with their doors open smoking like they were in the projects or something.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Wdh from Caledon, ON CA
“Very friendly greeting when we checked in. Breakfast was good with good variety and service. Room could use a little updating but overall good compared to other local properties. Would likely stay here again.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Jon from Scottville, MI
“Room was clean, location was good and convenient. Though there were several groups around us the noise was minimal. Our only problem was with housekeeping. After 2 days of not getting new towels and wash cloths (and eventually running out) I had to go to the front desk to get more. Also, the outside doors that are suppose to be locked at all times (open with room key) 1 was not locked and the other, the room key never worked. But over all it is a nice place to stay and I would look at again.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Allen from Franklin, PA
“It's a nice place we have stayed here 3 times.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Beth from New Whiteland, IN
“No wash cloths in room, called front desk they said they would bring some to us right away went to bed at 11:30 pm and still had no wash cloths. The beds were not very comfortable and the room had a funny odor smell to it. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Mike from Beavercreek, OH
“Comfort Inn should disassociate its name with this dump. This is a classic case of a greedy owner that charges an arm and a leg to stay at a tourist destination. If this place is anywhere else, it would become a unoccupied out of business relic. Owners should consider a simple investment to upgrade but then again, occupants did not appear to be an issue for some.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Steve from Troy, OH
“The staff was very courteous and was in a good location to drive to cedar point.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Jeff from Greensboro, MD
“It was nice, but the bed was hard. The bathroom was to small and no refrigerator in room.” Jun 29, 2008 by
Robert from Zanesville, OH
“We liked that our room had 3 double beds which allowed us not to need two separate rooms. It was nice to relax at the bar by the pool, while the kids swam. The hotel was clean, staff friendly and beautifully decorated.” May 28, 2008 by
Carol from Lewis Center, OH
“Conveniently located, room was clean. We were traveling with 3 small children so the pool was nice to have. The water was warm, but I felt the pool area could use a good cleaning. Our room was right outside the pool entrance, which at first we thought was great, but when it was time for the kids to go to sleep, the noise from the hallway and the traffic to the pool was unbelievable! No one could get to sleep. The walls and the door seemed so thin. Also, when we returned from dinner our door was open. Seems we did not close it hard enough. There is also a Cabana bar that can be accessed from the pool entrance, so we got that traffic and noise too.” May 25, 2008 by
Julie from Jackson, MI
“Highly recommended as most hotels in the area are very well used and not kept up. It was well worth.” May 20, 2008 by
Christina from Panama City, FL
“I was very disappointed when we checked in they stated we had already checked in and we had not and that was a problem that took awhile to correct. Everyday when we came back to the room we never had any towels and the pillow cases weren't put on the pillows. The pool area was nice and kept clean that was the only plus. The day we checked in I used the restroom in the front office and the toilets were plugged I told them, the day I checked out I went to the same restroom and the same toilets were still plugged and you can only imagine the smell because it had been 4 days.” Feb 6, 2008 by
Tom from Lakeline, OH
“Very nice and close to the local Water-parks. Lots of business and restaurants around. I would stay there again, if I got the same price on the room.” Oct 5, 2007 by
Stefanie from South Park, PA
“Overall, the hotel was good for the purpose of our need. It was located close to the place that we were visiting and was easily accessible. The room was very spacious and would have been a nice place to stay for a few nights.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Rachel from Germantown, MD
“For the price I paid for the room, I got my money worth. They have an indoor and outdoor which I like, as well as the free high speed internet access. The free continental breakfast was nice and better than other hotels I have stayed at.” Sep 5, 2007 by
Myriam from Monroe, OH
“Jacuzzi tub was very relaxing.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Kendra from Rochester Hills, MI
“This was a great hotel for the price and the location in relation to Cedar Point! Nothing fancy, but served our needs well. Was clean. The breakfast in the morning was kind of a mad house, but we were glad it was available. I would stay there again.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Cathy from Columbus, OH
“Telephone not working in room (they did come up and look at it, said they would check it out but ever came back. I had a 20-month-old and a 2-1/2 yr old in the room with me--glad I didnt have an emergency) had to use my cell phone to call long distance to talk with them downstairs (TV not working, bathroom was very dirty, dust on wood work, coffee stains on comforters, AC vent so dirty we didn't want to touch, lamp shades stained. I called front desk and had them come up to the room and show them how dirty this was. I understand that this hotel is booked 2 weeks out a lot. People don't know what they are getting till they get there. Spoke with manger of house keeping. Not friendly at all, not good English, I understand that she is the owner. Wow. I will not use this hotel again.” Jul 30, 2007 by
Wilma from Clinton Twp, MI
“The hotel was clean and had a friendly staff. We did not use the shuttle to go to cedar point as the times did not allow for us to return to hotel and go back. They have two really nice pools.” Jul 29, 2007 by
Jean from Whiting, IN
“I have stayed at several Comfort Inns and have never had to call the front desk for towels. I choose this hotel because of my experience I had from previous stays with comfort inns. I never slept in such an uncomfortable bed. Several of the guest which I spoke with during my stay had the same complaint. As for breakfast they definitely need to have more waffle makers. If the business they have this made eating breakfast in a timely manner impossible. I understand with the business they have they can not serve the breakfast that the other comfort inns serve but by having more toasters, waffle makers this would of made things a little more accommodating.” Jul 28, 2007 by
Debbie from Indianapolis, IN
“This is the worst hotel ever stayed at, beds like a rock, room had cobwebs and mold on ceilings, restroom water spots all over everything, no coffee packs, cleaning staff lift window opened and air conditioner was turned down low as possibly, bed spread had blood on it, no ashtrays, internet service told they have but you have to have your own wireless connections, check out day early and that I wanted my money back for the 3rd day told me they can't give me my money back and they never said sorry or anything and other issues.” Jul 20, 2007 by
Stephen from Columbus, OH
“The hard bed and flat pillow really killed the visit. I thought the bed would be a little bigger, but it wasn't a bad thing. I like being close to my wife all night.”
