“Probably one of the better hotels for this rate. Family friendly. Breakfast was very disappointing.” Jul 8, 2007 by
Ron from Fairfield, OH
“Would not ever stay here again. Even the price was high compared to higher end Hotels. Busy, noisy, and low end. I have stayed in higher end hotels for less money and better accommodations. Placed in a smoking room first and switch to another room that was said to be just remodeled. I would hate to see one that has not been remodeled. I spent many nights in Sandusky with other hotels and this one is by far the worst.” Jul 7, 2007 by
Kory from Erie, PA
“I will never stay at this hotel.” Jun 22, 2007 by

“Very nice, clean rooms nothing fancy but a great family friendly environment! The pool and hot tub were very disappointing they both are in need of repair!” Jun 21, 2007 by
Shannon from Detroit, MI
“I had a very bad experience at the comfort inn Sandusky. It was dirty, the bedspread had holes in it and I burned my hand on the coffee pot that did not work.” Jun 18, 2007 by
Cynthia from Barboursville, WV
“The pool and amenities were nice; it would have been nice to have a few extra washer and dryers in the building. The bathrooms were fairly clean, and the beds were really hard. The staff was excellent always friendly and helped allot!” Jun 3, 2007 by
Edgar from Pembroke Pines, FL
“All you could need for a trip to Cedar Point. Rest easy after long, tiring days at the park in a clean and modern motel. Perfect for multiple day stays. Located only minutes from the park.” Jun 3, 2007 by
Madonna from Mason, WV
“Overall I was pretty satisfied with the hotel. I liked the pool & cabana bar areas. Although I did not like the fact we didn't get wash clothes in our room for not just one day, but two. I had to go to the front desk to ask for them because their phone system was down. Also, I ordered just the standard king bed room, the room still had a hot tub in it. Which was just a teaser, they turned it off. I think if they offer standard king size rooms they should have just that, without the hot tub in there just to tease you. But seriously I would stay in this hotel again, it is a great location & very clean. The breakfast was pretty good as well, just get there early.” May 29, 2007 by
Cullen from Mishawaka, IN
“Completely awful. We went to the Hampton down the street. The Fairfield was also nice, as we checked that one out before settling on the Hampton. I'd avoid this one at all costs.” May 28, 2007 by
Jeff from Waterloo, IA
“This was a great barging with the price of gas being so high. Enjoyed the three nights. Very easy to find and to get in and out of the parking lot. Nice breakfast, but tables weren't all that clean or special. Many younger couples and families.” May 27, 2007 by
Greta from Macomb, MI
“Staff was friendly, location was great, rooms were clean.” May 25, 2007 by

“This hotel was exactly what I thought it would be the kids enjoyed the pool, whirlpool and sauna.” May 16, 2007 by
William from Findlay, OH
“Well first of all the front desk clerk gave us the wrong directions to the hotel. So we searched for 30 minutes for the Comfort Inn-Sandusky from the Cedar point amusement park. Shortly after arriving we check-in with an unfriendly staff and go to our 1st room. The 1st room we were assigned was used. So we had to drag our luggage back down for the now extremely unfriendly staff to give us a new room which was not used but dirty. There was hair sill in the shower and a pile of toe nail clippings on the floor in which we took pictures to document. A housekeeper approached us in the room and asked if she could clean the shower since the "Mexicans" as she stated did a bad job and left the staff hanging. By that time we were so upset we wanted to leave but the front desk woman gave us one more room and warned us that if we don't like it we're going to have to leave because there is nothing else for us. The 3rd room checked-out ok, it was a little dirty. ” Dec 13, 2006 by

“Overall the stay was pleasant. The staff was fairly friendly. The rooms were in good condition. My biggest issue was the internet wasn¿t working. When I travel I like to be able to have internet access for business purposes.” Sep 7, 2006 by
Bill from Philadelphia, PA
“Friendly staff and classy decor. the indoor pool was nice and the outdoor pool and cabana bar were fantastic, not something you would expect to get in a hotel in this price range. Overall a very good hotel experience.” Sep 7, 2006 by
Em from St. Catharines, ON CA
“Great location, with great extras including a pool/ whirlpool and nightclub.” Sep 4, 2006 by
Jennifer from Sunbury, OH
“Our kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The breakfast buffet was the worst our family has ever seen. The room did not look like it had been professionally cleaned. A lot of dust bunnies were found.” Sep 4, 2006 by
Norm from Grand Rapids, MI
“It was nice.” Sep 4, 2006 by
Matthew from St Joseph, IL
“Although the hotel had an inside and outside pool with whirlpool, plus a sauna, continental breakfast, and wireless Internet access - I was very disappointed in this hotel. Then when I arrived at the hotel, I noticed the frame to the bathroom door was rusting, the shower was messy and almost broken, and overall the room wasn't very clean. The hotel staff directed us to park near a door which was actually quite far away from the room, and generally they weren't very helpful, in fact the directions they gave us to a ferry didn't have any return directions. The hallway was filled with smoke, although the room was non-smoking, apparently the hotel allows smoking rooms on the same floor as the non-smoking, and the smell was disgusting, we even placed a towel underneath the door to prevent the smell from getting in the room. My lungs are still recovering from that experience, it made me feel very sick and I don't even have asthma. The shuttle to Cedar Point was a joke, it was more than 30 minutes late, and we were almost in an accident on the way to, plus on the way back the shuttle was so full the chassis was touching the wheels. When we got back, we were greeted with a freezing cold room, although we turned off the air conditioning, the maid had turned it on, and come to find out we needed to request a do-not-disturb sign from the front desk. Both pools were packed with people, and there were so many people eating continental breakfast that food was hard to come by. My experience was so bad with this hotel that I would never consider staying at a Comfort Inn again.” Sep 3, 2006 by

“Very nice for a night or two.” Aug 26, 2006 by
Jennifer from Leamington, ON CA
“It was a good hotel for the money nice pools pool bar! Lots of restaurants around not a bad room at all big bathroom and you can have fun to a point without everyone bothering you! I would stay at this hotel again for sure! Staff very nice and helpful.” Aug 18, 2006 by
Carla from White Lake, MI
“Over all great location. Multiple choices in the area for dinning. Decently clean and friendly. Hot tub was luke warm and when I went to checkout somebody had already done so. I had the keys though. They therefore did not want to give us the change from the deposit we put down for a movie because that was already given out!” Aug 17, 2006 by
Jud from Saint Joseph, MI
“The counter staff were friendly and very helpful when accessed directly, but late night calls to the front desk for extra pillows or additional towels went unresolved.” Aug 8, 2006 by
Melissa from Highland, MI
“The evening I checked in the front desk person was not very helpful nor did he seem as if he knew what he was doing. I found vomit in my room and the overall room did not seem to be clean at all. They offered to come and clean the vomit but it took them a very long time to do so. I had 3 young children that I had to get to bed to go to Cedar Point we were up until 2am. The second day after a long day at the park my room key wouldn't work. Then my in-laws room was left unlocked so we went in there to eat our food before sorting out the mess when an employee from the front desk came by to accuse us of not paying for our room. I went down to the front desk to sort out the matter only for her to be rude and not offer any sort of apology . Then she proceeded to accuse me of not showing her any respect. The whole experience was awful and I treated my in-laws to this as well. What I would like to know in this matter why wasn't I treated with any respect I was the customer.” Jul 21, 2006 by
Juan from Valparaiso, IN
“The room was clean and neat. The toilet was plugged up on the first use, but quickly resolved with a simple phone call. The room safe was locked from the previous people, but a simple phone call fixed that too. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday, which happened to be the two days the inside club/bar wasn't open. This hotel is pretty much what you would expect for the price.” Jun 1, 2005 by
Sanjiv from Mt Vernon, OH
“good location, spacious rooms super dirty carpets in the room, unhealthy breakfast” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 8, 2004 by
William P. from Marcellus “I stayed in a 3 diamond hotel for $35.00 (included great continental breakfast for myself, my wife and son)! The hotel was very clean and comfortable and actually exceeded my expectations.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 6, 2004 by
David E. from Greenfield, IN “The room was not as clean as I would have expected, and the bed was not comfortable. It simply had a cheap mattress with a sheet on it. The original sheets had a blood stain on it and the comforter had some stains. Usually I'm not very picky, but this was not good.” Hotel Representatives:
