“Hotel was unimpressive, had to ring bell for service at front desk. Able to hear lots of noise from outside, upstairs, and plumbing. Breakfast was served in outside gazebo.” Jul 23, 2009 by
Betty from Cleveland,OH
“A very pleasant stay. I will definately stay here again.” Sep 12, 2008 by
Deena from Lake City, MI
“This is the second time that I have stayed in this hotel as it is close to Cedar Point. Its very clean and the staff is friendly. The refrigerator and microwave are a big plus since I travel with children as it makes it easy to just pack lunches and snacks so that we don't have to always eat out.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Mary from Grand Blanc, MA
“Jacuzzi king suite was clean and comfortable. Very close to Cedar Point. Overall, enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.” Sep 1, 2008 by
Tam from Erie, PA
“The hotel was a great price including a pool, Jacuzzi, exercise room, free shuttle to Cedar Point, free continental breakfast and the water was always hot in the bathroom! The free continental breakfast was the most varied I've ever seen with healthy choices! The staff, although a bit gruff, really came through when we were stuck with Cedar Point tickets we couldn't use. It was a bit dingy, and the floors were in need of a scrub but all in all, a great place to stay. I would definitely stay there again.” Aug 27, 2008 by
Laura from Elkhart, IN
“Great place, Loved the breakfast. This is the 2ed time I stayed here and I will stay there again next year too. Real close to Cedar Point. This place is clean and has friendly service. The rooms are big and very spacious.” Aug 15, 2008 by
Colleen P. from Naperville, IL
“A nice facility for the price. Owner definitely takes pride in the facility and very good breakfast. However, the room smelled so bad that it was difficult to stay in the room. It smelled like animals had perhaps been in the room and even though there is no smoking we saw the cigarette burns in our blanket and the maid changing sheets with a lit cigarette hanging out of her mouth!” Aug 11, 2008 by
Cynthia from Fort Wayne, IN
“Overall, we found this hotel to be a little outdated in their decoration, but comfortable. With its great breakfast and closeness to Cedar Point, we will return.” Aug 9, 2008 by
Randy from Battle Creek, MI
“2 days at cedar point with my girlfriend. Just wanted a place to stay that was close and wasn't too expensive. I didn't have extremely high expectations as it's a 'relatively' cheap stay. So we end our first day and were exhausted. I called to let them know we were on our way and not to give our room away (since we weren't going to be able to get there with traffic until after 11. When we arrive there were some problems, and the desk person eventually said that they had booked us for the wrong month and that they only had one room left that they had 'penciled' someone else in for. Luckily we got that room but it wasn't the one we had paid for. It was also right above the pool and had 2 beds instead of 1 king. Well we were tired and just went to bed. We were awaken at what seemed like the crack of dawn by screaming kids in the pool. I'm not sure if the walls are paper thin or if they were just really loud. Either way we didnt sleep well. The room was decent, the continental breakfast was decent. I just dont like the idea that I had to track someone down to be able to get into the room. I realize mistakes happen but they weren't very friendly about fixing their errors. Decent place to sleep just dont expect much else.” Aug 6, 2008 by
Brandon from Riverview, MI
“Hotel was perfect. Cedar point hotels are limited. Either its a dump or a resort no in between. If your just looking for a quiet place to sleep that is clean this is fine.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Tiffany from Cambridge, OH
“The hotel staff was terrific, however, there were cockroaches in the bathroom, the remote for the TV didn't work and the television was fuzzy. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on next to you.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Renee from Roseville, MI
“Good location from close destinations and shopping.” May 24, 2008 by
Brittany from New Castle, PA
“The hotel was very nice and clean and was definitely worth the price. We had a Jacuzzi, a microwave, and a fridge which was really nice and convenient. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.” Mar 12, 2008 by
Micheal from Cleveland, OH
“The room was nice and clean. The vending machine selection was not as good has it could of been considering there was no in-room-dining available. The little interaction I did have with hotel staff was OK at night but, could have been better during the day.” Jan 30, 2008 by
Thomas from Flint, MI
“Perfect clean room for the price.” Oct 25, 2007 by
Heather from Nanty Glo, PA
“I love the location and the price is great, you get a microwave and fridge in every room and a great continental breakfast, not just a donut and coffee. I don't like the fact that the pool is not indoors, but outside. When youre up north there is only a small window for swimming during the day. Then it's too chilly, and in the fall there is no swimming.” Sep 18, 2007 by
Julie K. from Lancaster, OH
“In review, it was a great location. But a little run down in the rooms. The staff was nice. That room should not have been rented out because of the horrible smell. We were so tired from work and travel when we got there that I just sprayed a lot of perfume and toughed it out.” Jul 23, 2007 by
James from Albion, MI
“This was a very nice hotel. The staff was very helpful. It was clean and the free breakfast was stocked always. It was close to cedar point but not too close so you did not have all the traffic. I will definitely stay there again.” Jul 21, 2007 by
Lisa W. from Vincennes, IN
“Hotel was okay but room smelled like smoke and rooms not ready on time.” Jul 10, 2007 by
Eric from Clinton, KY
“I would recommend to anyone visiting Cedar Point to stay at this hotel. It is great for younger and older children. This was the best Knights Inn I ever stayed at since the first one I stayed at in 1989. The staff is friendly and very accommodating also the housekeeping is excellent. This would be the place I would try to stay at first before trying any of the other hotels in the area.” Jun 25, 2007 by
Sherri from Chippewa Lake, OH
“Hotel office staff were helpful, was nice to have a refrigerator in room even though the microwave didn't work very well. The sheets were clean even though the carpet was dirty. The towels were clean but had to ask for clean ones the following day. The room was pretty quiet, I could hear the train but not loud at all. Didn't hear any planes which were close by. Having a safe in the room was a plus. I would stay here again if given the chance to go to the event I went to.” Jun 16, 2007 by
Morgan from Linton, IN
“Our experience at this hotel was wonderful. We got so much more than what we paid for. The room was very nice and spacious. All the facilities looked very new. And it was very close to the park. We will be staying there on our next trip to cedar point.” Dec 31, 2006 by
Scott from Danville, OH
“I have nothing but good to say about the hotel. We stayed at bay-shore estates all last year. Saw the hotel being built, was shocked I got it has cheap has I did.” Sep 7, 2006 by
Craig from Shelbyville, IN
“This hotel was perfect for our weekend vacation. It is located just minutes from Cedar Point, and any other attractions. Our room was newly remodeled, and was very clean. There was a continental breakfast with a big selection. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Cedar Point.” Sep 4, 2006 by
Susan from Carl Junction, MO
“Allowed early check in, provided enough towels for four people.” Aug 26, 2006 by
Nicole from Plainwell, MI
“The staff wasn't very helpful. They didn't give me the room I booked. They did have wireless internet, but didn't have a computer to offer guests to use. I would say I wouldn't stay at this hotel next year.” Aug 16, 2006 by
Tina from Pittsboro, IN
“When entering the room we found a dirty washcloth laying right in the doorway, the rooms were old and outdated. The floors squeaked and creaked when we walked around and we could here all the noises outside, both in the hotel, and loud trains from across the street all night long. There was not adequate parking and when traveling with 2 pre-teen girls, lugging our luggage from a far parking space and then up the stairs and down the hallway to our room was a great inconvenience. Overall, this hotel came far below my expectations. I chose this hotel based on the customer reviews I read regarding the cleanliness of this hotel for the price I paid. I was greatly disappointed in what I saw and the quality of the hotel for our stay. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.” Jul 19, 2006 by
Rebecca from Carpentersville, IL
“Driving past many of the big name hotels and then passing motels you start to wonder what you are getting in to, but the hotel was great. A great deal for the money, very clean, helpful front desk people, nice continental breakfast, and only a mile from Cedar Point.”
