• The price I received.
• They only clean the room every 7 days and they do not provide fresh coffee packs daily.

“The hotel was decent; the staff just okay; they charge an extra $5 per day to come in and make the bed; they have a small kitchen but they only give you one pack of coffee.”

• There was not a pool or restaurant, but they were nearby.

“My spouse and I stayed at the Homestead Suite, St Petersburg for one night while visiting a friend in Clearwater, FL. The room was spacious enough for the two of us and the bed provided a comfortable night stay. The check in attendant was friendly and welcoming and the checkout attendant was equally pleasant to deal with. The bathroom was clean and functioned without defect. There were plenty of television channels to choose from and the kitchenette provided enough room to work on my laptop. It would be equally good for a business traveler that needs room to work but has a budget to consider.”

• Friendly staff, had refrigerator, microwave and cook top.
• The room was not very clean. Needed attention.

“Overall, it was a good hotel for the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was not very impressed with the cleanliness of the room however. They charge $4.99 per day for internet access which I felt was a bit much.”

“Upon arrival you are informed that there is not a daily change of sheets/towels/cleaning and that if you need clean towels you must come to the front desk. Leaving wet towels in a room is not sanitary. Not having the trash emptied is also disgusting. These (normal) services are available for a premium $.”

• Loving having the kitchen in the room.
• Position of the bed in full view of the door.

“The hotel was nice. We really enjoyed having the kitchen in the room where we were able to prepare our own meals. The hotel even had a pool which was clean with comfortable lounge chairs. The staff was friendly. Our room was generally clean however there could have been more attention to details when it was cleaned. Corners and the floors were not as clean as they should have been.”

• Acrid stale air, as the air conditioner and fan were set on recirculate. Couldn't safely leave the window open. Needed fresh air!

“Beautiful room, nice kitchen, but had poor air quality. Apparently there was no outside air coming through the AC which was permanently set on "recirculate".”

• The laundry room was great. A lot of washers and dryers.
• The bed was old, hard and uncomfortable.

“This hotel was great. They had a small kitchen and a big refrigerator. This is good if you plan to stay for a couple of days and dont want to expend money dinning out. It is a perfect area to move around all over Tampa bay area. 10-15 minutes drive to everywhere.”

• Rusty, the front desk clerk.
• There is only 1 queen bed unless you upgrade for 1 king. This is not good for traveling families.

“It is a decent hotel for business travelers only. I was very upset to have to pay more to upgrade the room in order to get more than 1 bed. Also, the pool was freezing cold.”

“Hotel staff was friendly and the room was gorgeous. Unfortunately there was less than half a roll of toilet paper and no back paper since it was late night before we noticed. We didnt call the office however. Overall the stay was very pleasant and I definitely recommend.”

• Ideal for access to inter-state highways & shopping.
• The fixtures in bathroom were en-crusted with hard water corrosion.

“Every thing went well, but on our return the next day we were locked out of room. The manager said I only had one day, I proved by their paperwork I had two. She said your credit card only gave them $38.50, with the sign in form I proved the two nights, and we were let in to get our things and continue the stay. Apology but no coffee. We are ok with that.”

• Kitchenette (although I didn't use it).
• Only one bed. Strong smell of insecticide.

“I would have had to pay $15 extra for a room with two beds and no rollways were available, so one of us slept on the floor in a sleeping bag (fitfully and in fear of cockroaches because of the insecticide smell). There was inadequate parking close to my ground-floor room.”

“Even though my room overlooked the bar, I couldn't hear any sounds with the door and window closed. It was a really great room and having a refrigerator with small microwave made my meals even cheaper. Thanks for a great stay!”

• The fridge was a nice plus.
• Bed was squishy, only 1 bed, no cups, 0 amenities, no room service.

“The bed was spongy and uncomfortable. There was only 1 queen bed. There was a kitchenette; however, there were no utensils. A stove without pots or dishes is useless. Not a single cup. Coffee was provided, but no cup to drink from, not even in the bathroom when you brush your teeth. No hairdryer, 1 bar of hand soap only. Quality way below other hotels such as liquate in this star rating range. Room was tiny, pool was tiny and less than 5' deep. Should you desire room service, it is an extra charge. ”

• They are very friendly that is all I'll say about this hotel and helpful.
• Didn't have the bed size which you support to get and the rooms got roaches in the rooms, which I up-grade in my room which I had to go to four differ.

“This hotel should give me my money back, which I think about this hotel rooms with lot of roaches and I can't go to other hotel, because I wouldn't get my money back. Now I can get it back and I had to chance rooms four time to find a room that didn't have roaches and a room that has a extra bed for my two girls and my girlfriend. Me and my family wasn't happy at all. I have to check all my suitcase and found roaches in them and to make sure I don't get them in my house. But I had to clean my town & country mini-van to take out a roach in it. It wasn't a good vacation this year at this hotel. It is very bad and I'll tell my friends and my family about this and tell them never to go to that hotel in clear waters.”

• Did not supply shampoo.

“This was a great hotel check in was easy and they let us check in 2 hours early then regular check in time. The room was clean. We had a full kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave and grill top. We also had kitchen utensils such as plates, cups, silverware etc.. There was even pots and pans. The only disappointment was they do not supply shampoo in the rooms and we did not bring any, but if you go to the front desk they will give you some for free. Keep in mind if you are going to spend a lot of time at the beach it took about 35 - 40 minutes to get there from this hotel. Great Hotel we will come back again.”

• Convenient location, relatively clean, decent kitchen, large bathroom.
• Just a single queen bed, internet is an extra 5 bucks.

“I like the 'extended stay' hotels, preferring the small kitchen suite to the maid service and extra bed one normally gets at a hotel. But know what your getting into. The kitchen appliances were clean and relatively new. The place is right across the bay from Tampa, just off the major highway. It's about half way in between the west shore beaches and downtown Tampa and 5 minutes north of St. Pete's.”

• Does not have late night check in - I got in late and had issues.

“You have guaranteed late night check in. This hotel closes at 10pm. I knew I was to arrive at midnight and called and was told I could call the same number to get the custodian to let me in - I called and called and called and called and no one ever answered. I risked driving down there at 1 am and was lucky to see some guy outside in the bushes using a courtesy phone, which some did answer - so I eventually go it. Because you booked a flight with only half an hour between flights in an airport where I had to take a train to another concourse.”

• It was cheap.
• No shampoo/conditioner, found out while in shower. Cockroach in room.

“The hotel was cheap and easy to access from I-275 near St. Petersburg. They did not have any rooms with 2 beds so I had to share a small bed with my 12 year old. When I went to take a shower, there was no shampoo or conditioner. I had to try to use bar soap. The morning we left I woke up to a cockroach near my head so was not too thrilled about that. The room was visually very clean, however. You get what you pay for.”

• All Suite hotel. Was close to where I needed to go at the right price.
• A/C was loud and obnoxious.

“It is a typical Homestead suites. Basic room with mini kitchen. As usual with these type of hotels the lobby closes early, so you have to wake up the night manager for a late check in. Other than that we were really just in and out. Room was reasonably clean. Only real complaint was the A/C unit was unusually loud.”

• It had all the necessary amenities and staff was friendly.
• The location was hard to get to, U turn was required and then you still could pass it & then have to make another U turn.

“Wouldn't consider it Clearwater more like Largo. The room smelled like smoke. The couch had a big tear right in the front. I would think the staff would've at least tried to hide it by turning the cushion around. There were little dead bugs in the shower as if the room hadn't been used in a while. Took a while for the water to get hot. The staff was friendly, little contact. The amenities available were nice to have access to.”

• Stayed two nights. First night was not ask smoking preference and was put in a smoking room that we did not want.

“Good clean rooms with kitchens. Everything clean and worked fine. Hotel location is in a safe area close to restaurants. It was a little too far from downtown Clearwater which is where our activities were.”

• I liked the kitchen room.
• There was somebody else's hair in the bath tub and the room smelled like a deity ashtray.

“For the most part this hotel was perfect. I would have liked to have been closer to the beach that part was misleading. The staff was great, could have had better TV reception and better channels everything else was close to perfect except the cigarette smell and the hair in the bath tub.”

• I need two beds in the room, and they charged me more than I would like to pay. For the new price, it is not a good choice for me.
