• It met all the basic needs and was adequate, clean and well-located.
• Continental breakfast sometimes lacked basics, i.e. milk 1 day, orange juice 2 days.

“This is an older Fairfield Inn, but met all the basic requirements for a short stay when not having to spend prolonged periods in the room itself.”

• Drawing a blank.
• Disgusting rooms, paper thin walls, pitiful breakfast, terrible accommodations.

“I've never been to a worse Inn. I took a party of 4 just to head out to the beach over the weekend. I arrived with an open mind and in a good mood but there is nothing in the rooms but a bed and a TV and of course a bathroom which was disappointing because even just a mini fridge would have made a world of difference. There is 1 microwave and 1 mini fridge in the whole place and neither work very well, and the complementary breakfast was quite embarrassing all that was there was those little boxed cereal I used to get in high school and orange juice. The walls are extremely thin I could hear my neighbor's doors opening and closing at all hours of my stay there. I am not even going to mention what was on the bed skirts, I'll just say it was disgusting. I left and will never attend such a worst hotel again and would advice everyone to stay away from this place. I will stick with my usual residence Inn.”

• Excellent staff with clean and nicely appointed rooms.
• Nothing. The staff even called the room when the cookies were done cooking.

• Not much - it exceeded my expectations for the price. Wish the breakfast was better.

• The room and bed were comfortable.
• Broken ice machine, noisy pool pump, and inadequate food bar, not enough roll-away beds.

“The room and Internet access were fine, as were the pool, Jacuzzi and small exercise room. The hotel was busy with families, so food ran out on the breakfast food bar. The first-floor ice machine was broken both days I was there and staff said it's always broken, so everyone went to second-floor machine, which had little ice. Pool pump is VERY loud and prevents relaxing at poolside. Elevator placement causes travelers with suitcases to repeatedly block narrow hallway leading to first-floor rooms. This hotel did not have a roll-away bed as I was promised for the second night because they said they didn't have enough. This was not up to the Marriott standards that I expect.”

• I liked the location, the breakfast offered and friendliness of staff.
• I didn't like getting woken up at 1:30am by alarms. A transformer was hit by lightening.

“I enjoyed my stay here at the hotel. The staff was friendly. The food was good. My daughter loved riding in the elevator and getting ice in the bucket. It is a great location for business travelers but we were close to family also. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• I have nothing bad to say about the hotel.

• Large bathroom, comfortable bed with soft pillows, an plenty on work space.
• Very hard to find (map quest) you can't make a right on 34th street coming from that direction.

“The room was clean with lots of space. A king size bed with lots of pillows. The bathroom has plenty of room also, the shower was well maintained or recently remolded.”

• Location, road construction and design make it impossible to turn into hotel entry road.

• Price, comfortable bed. Clean room. Breakfast included.
• Smoky odor in room. Difficulty in finding hotel. Lack of service.

“For the price this hotel was ok. I was unimpressed with the smoky smell in the room. The front doors were manual. The breakfast was nice in that it was included, but I have seen better in similarly priced hotels. You will not impress a date at this hotel.”

• Clean, current up to date decor, Staff friendly helpful respectful and courteous. They had a nice little of treat of cookies for us when we checked in.
• It was difficult to find - as it is tucked away off the main road.

“Clean up to date decor. Pool and exercise room clean and well maintained. Beds very comfy. Coffee maker in room. Continental breakfast great. Close to Easy access to major highway and airports.”

• The complimentary breakfast was varied and very adequate.
• It was difficult to find the entrance to the hotel. The roadside sign was much too small.

“A little hard to find, especially in the dark, moderate hotel. The lobby could use a face lift as well as the hallways. The room was a nice size, comfortable and had all the necessities.”

• Great lobby area/breakfast.

“We stayed here while visiting (baseball) Spring Training. The employees were great and we enjoyed the breakfast before we headed out to the ballpark. Would stay again!”

“The location is hard to find, the hotel sign can not be seen from the road. We had a blackout in the middle of the night, not the fault of the hotel but made our night miserable after finally getting to sleep with all the noise they allowed from kids running amok the hallways etc. Could be a good place with proper management.”

• The breakfast bar had Jimmy Dean sandwiches. This was helpful since we low-carb.
• One of the receptionists didn't have a pleasant demeanor for working with the public.

• I had several problems with the key cards not working.

• Great beds and great design of room! Complimentary continental breakfast was perfect!
• The location is not very quiet and the pool is not very inviting.

“You should know that it is directly at a busy highway! Loved the room and the cookies at check in! The continental breakfast offered fresh waffles which was great. I would stay there again!”

• It was in a hard location to get to until you learn your way around the area.

• The hotel if you don't want to be close by the attractions of the beach or the heart of the city its a very clean quiet and nice double star hotel.
• There is not a lot to do for family, around the hotel. or not much information.

“Overall to my experience this hotel is very good to stay if you are traveling alone or with other adults. it offers very large rooms with comfortable pillows and mattresses. almost every thing seems to be new and working. The staff are friendly and professional. Very nice lobby and good breakfast. The hotel is in a very nice part of the city too.”

• Whirlpool was difficult to use, because kids were jumping in and out of it.

• Large king size bed with lots of fluffy pillows.
• Would have liked to have been closer to Clearwater Beach but not hotels fault.

“I had reserved 3 rooms and even though we arrived early they made every effort to accommodate our wishes as far as beds on all on the same floor. It had a nice pool and spa area. They room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was a step above many of the continental breakfasts we have had at other hotels. We would go back there if there was ever a need to be in that area.”

• The drapes were not good for making the room dark for sleeping late.

“My family had a good experience at the Fairfield Inn in Clearwater, Fla. It's located midway between my two sister who live in Fla., so we had the best of both worlds in our visits with them. We didn't have any special requests, because everything we needed was already in our room.”
