• Rooms were big. Spaces were clean, grounds were well kept.
• An odor throughout the hallways that reminded you of the 70s.

“This is a big hotel and the rooms were very spacious, updated, and clean. Continental breakfast was not provided with this hotel and would have been a nice addition. The pool, whirlpool, and gym facilities were very well kept and comfortable.”

“This hotel was amazing. It is in a great location off a main road, but it is secluded by trees. They have complimentary tea and coffee all day, every day. They have very nice and helpful staff. The room is one of the biggest I have stayed in, and there is a balcony. There is also a refrigerator in the room. I would definitely stay here again!”

• The continental breakfast had a great selection of foods.
• Room and hallways had a strong mildew smell.

“This was a good hotel with all the 3 star expectations. Location was very close to the PIE airport. The only thing I problems with was the intense mildew smell that was present in the room and throughout the hallways. Made a good night stay almost unbearable.”

“This hotel was OK, but not nearly as nice as other 3 star hotels I have stayed at. The majority of the areas seemed warm as did my room even though the temp was set at 65. There was an odd smell in the hotel. It was cleaning supplies. I don't know. It seemed musty. The beds were comfortable but the walls were paper thin. I could here people going up and down the halls, talking, the ice machine, and the people in the other rooms. Would not be my first pic for somewhere to stay in Clearwater.”

• The courtyard area by the pool.
• Strange parking and entrance to the hotel.

• Updated room, free high speed internet, free coffee in lobby.
• No free breakfast, room on the small side, hotel hard to find and get to.

“Not quite up to par for a Marriott. Room was on the small side and sofa needed to be replace. Room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Free high speed internet in the room and a business office in the lobby, along with a selection of fresh coffee. We did not eat at the on-premises restaurant. Lobby also had a nice size sitting area to meet with business associates. Hotel was hard to find and access difficult. Felt safe and the unit was quiet.”

• It was very clean.
• The area was boring. Not much to do and a far drive from the beach.

“The courtyard Marriott in Clearwater is a great hotel for those looking to be a 20 minute drive from the beach, but close to the airport. The hotel itself (while hidden from the road) is of a typical Marriott quality - excellent.”

• Not enough staff on duty, but they were friendly.

“My family and I had a great time at this hotel. This had to be one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. There was no mold on any of the wet areas, the carpet did not have a wet animal odor, and the bedding was fresh. The free internet was not wireless but it was a plus to have access to the web. The room was large with a huge private balcony. The bed was oh so comfortable and the bathrooms were quite big. Some of the negatives: Although the staff was very nice and helpful, there were not enough employees to accommodate the guest. I had to go to the front desk for everything. The hotel is off the main road on a paralleling side street so use a GPS or map. The TV. Channels were not very family friendly but this is Florida so spend your time outside. Before we got to this hotel, we spent 5 days at a resort hotel in Orlando. This hotel was not the 4 star facilities that the resort was but it did not fall short in comparison to comfort and cleanliness. This was a great place to stay and as far as I could tell, a safe place as well.”

• The buffet did not come included with my room rate and I thought it did.

“This hotel was only ten minutes away from the airport, which makes it ideal for travelers going in and out of Tampa. Staff was extremely helpful in locating and recommending churches and restaurants. The room was clean and neat, and the bed was delicious.”

“We stayed at 2 different hotels; the Courtyard in St Petersburg was fine. The Radisson in Clearwater Central was the room from the survey above. It was quiet, except for the night the alarm clock was on and we didn't know it; woke us up at MN. Cleaning crew not the best; clipped toe nails from some one else on the floor! Didn't give enough wash cloths (expected in Mexico, not US!), only got bottled water the first 3 days. Internet problem, no one told us about it.”

• It was really nice, clean, comfortable beds, and we liked the couch in the room. Pool and spa were nice as well!
• We liked everything.

“The location of this hotel is right off of 275 and close to pretty much everything. It was very clean and the temperature of the room was just right when we arrived. Beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows, nice couch, balcony, pool and spa, room service was very good, and the cleaning staff was very friendly also. We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel along with our 1 and 2 year olds.”

• The smell of the clean bedding the minute I walked in!
• Problems with the key card. Had to replace twice.

“Very nice aesthetics. The smell of the Clean linens on the beds just blew me away. I really enjoyed the comfort of the beds also. Rooms were cleaned in an orderly manner. I would suggest cleaning the carpets in the room as my white socks were very black after walking around the room in the evening. I always make it a point to leave a tip for the housekeeping staff and this is the first time that anyone of them wrote me a little note to say thanks and it was there pleasure. I was very impressed overall with their warm hospitality.”

• I don't have any complaints!

“I expected a decent hotel since it was a Courtyard, however it exceeded my expectations. Our room had a king sized bed and loveseat along with a nice bathroom area. We had a first floor room with sliding glass doors that went right out onto the pool deck (we didn't use the pool as it was too cold). Everything was clean and the check-in or out went smoothly. Wonderful experience for the price!”

• Indoor hot tub was nice since it rained quite a bit during my stay.
• Elevators did not work.

“This hotel served its purpose well. The breakfast offered by the hotel was not very good, and they charged 11$ per person. I have stayed at several similar type hotels that offer the same or better breakfast at no charge.”
