• Location is great, facility is clean, friendly and helpful staff.
• Would have preferred longer pool hours.

“The location is 15-20 minutes drive maximum to almost any local attraction and/or service. The staff is courteous and helpful, the facility is clean and has very little sound transfer from room to room or from the outside.”

“We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and
the breakfast was very nice. They had nice pool but we didn't go because we went to the beach mostly and didn't have time. But I am referring the La Quinta Inn to my friends.”

• Dependable free Wi-Fi service.

“Great value! Attractive, pleasant surroundings with good free breakfast in dedicated breakfast room, nice pool and whirlpool, plenty of free parking and friendly staff. Room was spacious and quiet, with desk, microwave, refrigerator and dependable free Wi-Fi.”

• The initial room smelled smoky but complained and was given a better room.

“The initial room had a smoky odor. I immediately went down and stated that I could not accept this room. The reception clerk was very nice and immediately gave me a different room that was excellent. I greatly appreciated the new room as I was very miserable.”

• It was very quiet.
• The room smelled horrible!

“The hotel staff was not very friendly and at times rather rude. The room was clean, but smelled so bad we had to put air fresheners in the air conditioner to mask the odor. The hotel was quiet and the pool area was nice. The bathroom could use a little updating. The shower head was old therefore water pressure was almost non existent. For the price, it wasn't bad if you can overlook rude staff and the smell.”

• I like that the spa was very nice and relaxing also the people at the front desk was very friendly.
• I did not like the fact that there were pets allowed in the hotel, when my husband was at the spa a guest went through with too dogs.

• Great pool area; high-end exercise equipment in gym; sauna; upholstered chair with footrest in room; exceeded expectations.
• No hot water at about 7 a.m. one day.

“For the bargain price that I paid, this hotel's facilities and its personnel far exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The bed and upholstered chairs were very comfortable; the window coverings included an opaque drape which kept out all the sunlight. The room was immaculately clean. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. I was even allowed an hour-late check-out time.”

• The staff was excellent and the hotel is central to airport/shopping.
• My room could have been in better condition, door safety lock broken, and leftover soap in shower.

“My overall thought is this is a great place to stay. It's near the airport, food shopping, beaches. The condition of my room was a bit under what I had expected. The safety lock for the door was broken off. The TV was about to go on the fritz. There was an open/used bar of soap in the shower. Though this may sound like a lot, how I was treated by the staff and how they went out of their way to ensure I made my scheduled flight (they got the taxi & paid for it because the shuttle doesn't start until 0800) more than made up for the few short-comings. Over all, a great place to stay, the pool & hot-tub area were great!”

• The staff was wonderful!
• Needed updates looks tired?

“The pool was nice and warm and the staff was awesome! The hotel was dated and tired but the staff and pool made up for any short comings. The location was rather tricky to. Make sure you make a left at the light by Bob Evans (as if you are going to park in Bob Evans) on Lumberton or you are going to have to figure out how to get back in. Hotel sits back behind Bob Evans.”

“Smoking and Non-smoking room is a very serious issue. It is because some people are very sensitive to the smoke and will get sick after staying in a smoking room. It is not fair to force a guest to sleep in a smoking room. We were lucky this time that we got a non-smoking room. I was forced to stay in a smoking room in Richmond, VA one time when I was staying with the Extended Stay. Very bad. I got sick and had very bad headache afterwards.”

• It was close to a lot of restaurants.
• Nothing much to think of.

“It was close to where all the places I wanted to travel and site-seeing. It wasn't located to where all the traffic was at and that makes the drive in and out of the hotel a delight.”

“We just wanted a clean, inexpensive hotel to stay at that was close to the airport. Our main vacation was a 3 hour drive south and we drove that the next morning. My son loved the pool. The continental breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly.”

• Mattress not a comfortable as previously encountered at la Quinta.

• Nice warm pool decent fitness center fair breakfast reasonably clean friendly staff minutes to airport.
• Road noise.

• The night clerk.
• The day clerk.

“We had two rooms booked and one of them had not been cleaned. The night clerk that night was very friendly and helpful and got us another room without problem. When we went to check out the next day we wanted a copy of our receipt. The day clerk acted like we were asking her to turn lead into gold. When she finally did print out one of the receipts it was for the wrong room. She needed a serious attitude adjustment.”

• The lobby personnel were very nice and helpful!
• The cleaning carts were in the lobby during my entire stay even at night.

“I enjoyed my stay it was a very comfortable. It met my expectations and I would stay there again. It is a very convenient location. It has ample parking.”

• I liked the way no one bothered us it was just like home.
• It was located on a hard to get to road.

• The room extras, cable, games, movies, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, blow-dryer, and excellent continental breakfast choices.
• Noisy outside environment, but livable.

“Hotel was fine but the location for Clearwater was very poor. It was blocks from Largo. Wanted to be near the beach and had a 15 mile drive to it each way. Very disappointed.”

• The hotel had a wonderful breakfast, and the room had a refrigerator and microwave.
• They were skimpy on the towels, shampoo and soap.

“The LaQuinta hotel was a little hard to find, it was hidden behind a Bob Evens. The complimentary breakfast was great with waffles, fresh fruit, muffins, juice and beverage. The pool was very nice and the lobby was clean and quiet. The bathroom was just a little small.”

“The La Quinta in Clearwater, FL was clean (actually new) with a very friendly and helpful staff. The continental breakfast even included fresh Belgium waffles made right there and hard boiled eggs!! To top that off there was a microwave oven, a refrigerator and a coffee maker in the room. Excellent value and worth far more than we paid.”
