• Convenience, price, location, great breakfast.
• Everything exceeded my expectations.

“Very good hotel, it was definitely a 2 star, buffet style but real breakfast (eggs, sausage, hash browns, pancakes) for free in the morning. Heated pool, fitness room, gated parking area which required room key. I was very pleased with the stay period and the fact that it was very inexpensive and in town made it even better.”

• The pool area and view was beautiful.
• The breakfast was horrible, out of refreshments, no condiments and not enough variety.

“This hotel is a great place to stay. I loved the pool area its very huge and relaxed, day or night. Breakfast isn't good, I recommend eating out.”

• The restaurant was outstanding.
• Under construction.

“The hotel was basic, and fine if all you need is a place to sleep. I've stayed a few places that were nicer for about the same money, but not many. It's about middle of the pack. It had internet, but no real space to work if you needed to. Rooms were small, and we got no room clean ups. Street noise was high.”

• They used recycled water for watering the grounds--very smelly.

“I would not recommend this hotel--it is in a questionable part of town and is undergoing extensive renovation which makes it look shabby. I felt like we were staying in a cage. That said, the room was well-appointed, and the check-in was easy. Staff were friendly, and the hot breakfast is one of the most comprehensive I've seen for a hotel of this star level. At this hotel, I simply felt cheap.”

“The room was fine, but the rest of the hotel is very run down. I needed a late check out and they provided that at no charge. It was fine for a one night business trip but I wouldn't take my family there or stay there for a longer trip.”

“I checked in and checked out! The hotel was old and ran down, filthy, the bed was leaning to the point you would fall out if you tried to sleep in it and very scary. My daughter cried because she was scared! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Charges are in dispute with my credit card company. I am not even sure that the picture on internet was the same hotel.”

• Liked having refrigerator in room & microwave oven too.
• Did not have a wheelchair for emergency for guests. I had an emergency.

“Overall, stay was good. Hotel had workmen laying brick sidewalk all around my room and others too. Had to go under taped off area to get to my own room.”

• Pool area was nice, large bed.
• Gated, poor parking and bathroom was in poor condition.

“This hotel made me feel very odd - instead of just checking in and going upstairs to my room like I did last year at my Tampa hotel, instead I had to go outside, swipe my card through a checkbox to open the gate, and drive my car in to a packed parking area that wrapped around the complex. I am not sure if it felt like a bad area because of the gate, or if the gate was because it was a bad area - but neither made me feels good. The staff was slow to check me in and appeared unfriendly. They had a slow time checking me out, apparently due to some extra charge by the check-in person. The hotel room had a nice bed, but the bathroom was in a poor state. The lobby was nicely kept.”

• They were doing construction at 8am and parking was a nightmare!

• Staff was very friendly.
• Needed improvements in cleanliness, sheets were never changed once we checked in, toilet paper ran out with no refill, same with shampoo.

“Hotel needs more improvement on room cleanliness, sheets should be changed every day including having shampoo/condo. and toilet paper refills. Also there was no "safe" in the room as advertised, the fridge was to small to put anything but a few bottles of water in it. No food which is why we booked the room. On several nights there was a fight in the pool area with about 15 drunk college students who screamed and yelled for hours. The only thing enjoyable was the staff who were very friendly especially in the restaurant.”

• Very close (under 5 minutes) from company I visited.
• Would rate this 1.5 stars if category available. Not 2.

“Hotel was adequate for my needs. Not a place I'd go to for vacation with my family due to busy location and not very desirable, but worked well for my business needs on this trip. For safety, I liked the fact it was only accessible by a secured gate. Considering I only basically used the hotel for a place to sleep and shower, I am very happy with the price I paid for 2 nights' lodging - less than the walk-in price for one night elsewhere!”

• Secure parking was a plus as the hotel was in a rough area.
• Dirty bathrooms, musty smell. Definitely an economy hotel.

“Though I have had many outstanding experiences I do not agree with the two star rating of this hotel. I would not revisit this location, nor would I recommend it to even the budget minded traveler.”

• The pool was very nice. The people were very helpful.
• There were little black bugs in the room.

• Bad location, not recommended walking anywhere.

“The hotel was kept clean, room and staff accommodating and friendly. Room not restocked with toiletries daily. Glad that I brought my own along. Security good, but probably needed in that area. Hotel location is convenient for driving and touring all areas of sty. Pete. It is not a resort hotel, but fair priced and cleans.”

• The hotel was close to i275 in what seemed to be a middle class neighborhood.
• Our room view was directly looking at a Nissan dealership.

“Staff was very friendly and the we liked the overall location of the place. The carpet seemed newer and the so did the rest of the room minus the bathroom which was a little dated. Overall a good place to stay for a business person but room was tight for a family of 4. If you¿re looking for a good price for a bed and shower, stay there.”

• They housekeeping promptly responded to my request.
• The hotel was dirty I had to clean it myself and spray perfume to cover the stale odor.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The gate did not work and the front desk people were very rude! Last but not least, it was filthy! They didn't even clean the sink which was obviously dirty.”

• The free internet was nice.
• Hotel was old, outdated and dirty- neighborhood- pool was dirty -

“It was in a lousy neighborhood. The attendant at the front desk was rude. The wall paper was literally coming off the walls. The pool and room was dirty and very outdated and small. I had to go to 3 ice machines before I found one that worked. The grounds were unkempt and in need of repairs. Fortunately I have had many great deals.. This was the only one I regretted.”

• Room was clean, at check in desk clerk was friendly and very helpful.
• Independent restaurant operator very snooty, could have had a continental type breakfast instead of walking to near by Denny's.

“Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and had refrigerator and coffee maker as advertised for being an older motel it was sufficient for our needs and well maintained. The location was in a not so good section of town, however a security fence surrounded the perimeter with access being gained with using room key. Entry to motel was also gained by using room key. I would recommend this motel for a short term stay, one or two nights at most.”

• The pool was OK.
• Old, somewhat dirty, in a questionable neighborhood. I would not recommend.

“This hotel was in a dirtier neighborhood in St. Petersburg. I wish there would have been more options so I could have specified downtown. This one was older, and the hotel staff was less than accommodating. I requested a crib for my 1 year old daughter, and confirmed it 3 days before I traveled, and when I arrived at the hotel, after 10 pm, the front desk was frustrated that I asked for it, and said it was not on my reservation. He was able to get one, but had a terrible attitude. this was just an older hotel, and did not seem very clean. ”

“Hotel is older, and rooms were fairly clean but needed updating very badly. Our wallpaper was coming off of the walls. A lot of questionable people ended to hang out in the parking lot and out front. I would not be comfortable with my family staying here. ”

• Hairdryer didn't work, light bulb burned out, keycard door stuck (walk around to another door).

“For what I wanted (a clean place to sleep) this motel was fine. A light breakfast (free) would have been nice.”

• The lobby was nice and clean.
• Wallpaper was peeling from the walls and the ceiling was peeling from a previous leak.

“Overall the hotel room was not very inviting, there was a microwave, and a small fridge, but they did not work- there were no instructions on how to work them, or if there would be an extra charge for the use of them. The clerk that checked me in vas very obnoxious, and even stated that he could evict me. Although there is a security gate (when driving your car) where you have to use your room key to access the hotel rooms, I did see a car enter through the exit after someone left the property, and doors prop open, so there is really very little security.”

• Has gone too long without being updated.

“A good hotel for the price, nothing fancy. Management does seem to be trying now to update the rooms. Our bathroom has been redone recently and it was nice. They also accept pets, which was essential for us. A good hotel for the price, especially since we were only there to sleep and change clothes for the beach.”

“The Ramada is an old hotel, but clean. Rooms are ok with fridge and microwave. Pool is fine and staff was ok. Gated parking lot. Area is ok, lots of car lots, but safe. Not luxury but good value for $55.Cable channels limited, just multiple HBOs, need TLC and discovery or History. Clean and convenient (10 minutes drive from downtown, 3 minutes from I-275, not much site-seeing nearby), breakfast good for $4 and good Indian food on-site.”

• Their hotel restaurant was one with Indian cuisine, which was interesting.
• The toilet in our room did not work, and there were dirty towels hanging up from the previous guest that the housekeeping missed.

“This hotel was located on a major road, which made it easy to find, but the location was bad for doing anything but buying liquor from the many stores nearby. The cleaning staff seemed to miss several items from the previous guests, and they did not refresh our supplies. The hotel pool claimed to be heated, but was not at a temperature appropriate for swimming. I did not enjoy this hotel.”

• Time limit on Business center. Pay attention to dusting in rooms, people notice.

• Housekeeping did not clean the room, left dirty wet towels on the floor.

“This hotel was a poor choice. The housekeeping staff was extremely poor, did not clean and restock bathroom two days in a row, left dirty soaked towels in the floor. The management did not seem to care when we reported the problem. The breakfast buffet was minimal, food was constantly in short supply, silverware was not available, wait staff was unhelpful. Morning front desk staff was not helpful and not friendly. Hotel was not in a good location and was in disrepair. I would not stay here again.”

“My stay at the Ramada Inn was terrible. The hotel was filthy and unhealthy. The hotel allows animals and smoking in the rooms. We had to leave due to my daughter falling ill due to the filth in the room and the hotel was unwilling to refund my money. I had to book a room at another hotel so we could continue our stay in St. Pete. ”

• Had an Indian restaurant.
• Noisy due to cars parked very close to rooms.

“Location is not really in St. Pete, but Leal man, and is not near anything remotely interesting, unless you like car dealers and pawn shops. Was a bit worn around the edges and seemed to be undergoing some renovations. Clean enough and seemed to be well run. Have had better two star experiences, but was ok since we mostly just slept there.”
