  • Convenience to my son's college3.
  • Half of the light bulbs did not work properly, coffee pot did not work properly.

“Neighbors played loud music all night, we lost a lot of sleep that night, went to turn on lights and half of them did not work, the coffee pot did not work properly and it was dirty, lack of condiments in the room. The motel room smelled musty.”

  • I liked that the location was in the center of town and within walking distance to good stores and restaurants.
  • I thought La Quinta offered a little more pizzazz than it did--everything was pretty basic.

“The hotel room was clean though there was mold on the shower ceiling. It was a no-frills hotel--it had all the necessities with no special touches. If you would like a quick, easy place to simply get some sleep, La Quinta does the trick. If you would like a little more ambience and comfort, I would try another spot.”

  • It was next to a Red Lobster.
  • Rooms were dirty, Walls were paper thin.

“This is the worst La Quinta I had ever stayed in. I hate the hotels where the rooms are on the outside of the hotel and you have to walk outside to get to them. This is the first La Quinta I had seen this way. The room was dirty, dingy, and I could hear people on both sides. The free internet access was poor at best. The breakfast was ok, a typical continental one.”

  • Staff was very nice at front desk.
  • Old, outside doorways and 2nd time I got this hotel no wireless working.

“This hotel has a very friendly front desk staff. The hotel is older and that is reflected regardless of new outside paint. Rooms were clean. Bed was like a rock. The wireless was not working and this happened last time we were given this hotel. Should be a motel.”

  • The check in was very fast.
  • The room was not very clean all around the edges & behind the dresser & night stand.

“The check in went very fast. I was in and out of the lobby in about 4 min and there was one person in front of me. And only one is working at the desk. Now on to the room there were old candy rappers behind the night stand and a big dead bug at the back corner of the dresser. All the way around the room were the carpet meets the wall it was very dirty. It needed to be vacuumed very badly. I told the person at the desk when I checked out. She really didn't say much. I would have thought a "sorry we will take care of it" is what I would hear from her. But nothing. It was room 204.”

  • Rudeness and lack of customer service over the telephone with the reservation desk.

“Once I arrived at the hotel and confronted the person on the desk, about my problem with the original reservation, my stay was very enjoyable. The original contact on the telephone with the desk was inexcusable. The apology from the assistant general manager on my departure as to the way that I was originally treated was very welcomed.”

  • My daughter needed a feminine product and the front desk didn't have any.

“This is a no-frills, clean and relatively safe place to stay, but don't expect anything special. The pool looked inviting though we didn't get a chance to use it. The staff was friendly. This is the second time I have stayed here.”

  • Exterior rooms, flat pillows, need painting and updating.

“The pool was clean and underutilized, so on a very hot day we practically had the place to ourselves, although the parking lot was full. Nice quiet grounds. Rooms meet minimum cleanliness. Couldn't run microwave and refrigerator at same time; only one plug!”

  • The breakfast was awesome and free.
  • Wine bottle & candy wrappers behind bed yuck.

“For the money, great deal. The first room was non-smoking, but someone had been smoking heavily in it so we changed rooms. The next one had a wine bottle and candy wrappers behind the bed but we stayed. Great location, right in the middle of Anderson. Ohm god the breakfast, which was free, was awesome. Waffle irons there with premature batter. My kids loved it. Our family of five saved probably $30 with this good, hearty breakfast. So the bottom line was if you're not picky , fantastic deal.”

“Room was clean and met our expectations. We were not prepared for the loud music from a bar in a strip mall behind the motel. Our room was at the back of the complex. We were there on the weekend and it was very difficult exiting onto the street from the only exit due to the speed and volume the oncoming traffic. We could not safely turn left but had to turn right, go to the nearest light and make a U-Turn.”

  • I wish the maids would use vacuum cleaner attachments to clean corners - by furniture & walls.

“We had the pleasure of staying here in April '06 and got it again in October '06 - which pleased us. Easy to find, the waffles are SO tasty, handy, breakfast w/waffles is tops in my book, convenient, great waffles, nice personnel, oh! And did I mention the (free) waffles are outstanding?!”

  • My family arrived unexpectedly & hotel made sure their rooms were close to me.
  • The air fresher sprayed in my room, but the hotel staff corrected after my request.

“This is my third visit to this particular hotel. I attended a family reunion on this trip, my children arrived without reservations, and the staff made a special effort to allow us to have three adjoining rooms. Their breakfast buffet is very nice, lobby is comfortable and we had several family visitors, and the staff made everyone welcomed. With teenagers, they enjoyed the shopping close by within walking distance.”

  • Room was a bit shabby and the hallways were in poor condition, had to wait until 9:30am to get extra towels!

  • Was a great hotel, great price, lots of stuff close by. I could not ask for a cleaner place. Also the front desk clerk was just so very nice thank you.
  • The maids was snobby, and kind of hard to get into off the main street.

“This hotel is surrounded by lots of stores and food places. The hotel is very neat and clean the maids could be a little nicer but I could have been there when they was all having a bad day. The front desk clerks were so very nice and very helpful. there is a pool there I didn't have time to enjoy but it looked very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!”

  • The manager helped me through a reservation problem.
  • Said 2 double bed reservation could not be changed.

“Hotel did not want to change reservation from 2 double beds to a queen or king. Had to insist on talking to manager to get problem resolved. Room was for a romantic getaway, so sleeping in separate beds was not what we had in mind.”

  • No problem with late check-in; we checked in at midnight.
  • Room was not clean enough and the sheets felt like sandpaper.

“It was fine to sleep for a few hours and leave, but if we had been spending anymore time there, it would have been rather grim. The beds were small and the sheets were not soft in the least. Also the shower needed a better cleaning. We had stayed before and the experience was not as poor. I was surprised at the drop in quality.”

“I like staying at the La Quinta Anderson because it is in the best location, close to everything, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is always very clean and they even let me plug in my block heater at night. The continental breakfast is also good with lots of variety but I wish it extended to 10 instead of 9 am because I'm not usually up that early. All in all, I'd always choose the La Quinta because it is the best value for the money.”

  • The quietness. The comfort. Convenience.
  • There was nothing I did not like about it.

“The hotel was easy to find. Convenient. The attendants were warm and friendly. The room was easy to warm in cool weather, which made it very comfortable. The cleanliness was also noticeable. I fully enjoyed my stay.”

  • The front desk staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast had lots of variety and good quality.
  • The wi-fi worked only in the lobby, not in the guestrooms.

“The staff was friendly upon check in and check out and all the time in between. I was staying for more than a few days and they put a microwave and fridge in my room prior to check in just because of that. The facilities were clean and the amenities were good. The continental breakfast was tasty and the room was spacious. The location is also the most convenient in town, close to all the shopping and dining and the interstate. I really enjoyed my stay at the LaQuinta. I would stay again and recommend it to anyone.”

“I have stayed at this motel many times in the past two or three years and have for the most part always been pleased. Just recently I wrote to you that I thought the outside of the facilities needed to be cleaned. They needed to be blown clean and maybe hosed down or pressure washed. The last time I was there I saw this being done. They are making an effort to maintain the facilities. I just wish they would not let pets stay in the rooms. I do not like the idea of sleeping in a bed that some dog had just slept in and I do mean canine.”
