• Hotel staff and pool were highlights.
• Room cramped, no restaurant.

• Noisy on weekends because of the bar.

“Close to things, parking was difficult on weekends, cable went in and out. Room was warm due to no individually controlled air conditioning.”

• Clean rooms and convenient location. Easy access to public transportation.
• Outdated and no restaurant on site.

“The rooms were clean, the staff was nice and great location for access on the trolley (no car needed!) and local restaurants. There is a small snack shop that has decent food.”

• It was right on the beach and within easy access of amenities.
• It was dirty, and the shower was awful. It would turn from scalding to freezing without warning. No in between.

“It was nice to be on the beach and within easy walking of most needs. But the shower was terrible. I couldn't regulate the water, it would go from cold to scalding. The bathroom had mold all around.”

• Located right on the beach.
• It's old and needs some remodeling.

“The hotel is definitely old. The landscaping is completely overgrown and doesn't look as if it has been tended to in an extremely long time. However, the rooms are old but extremely clean and the hotel is right on the beach. It is no frills, but the location is definitely worth the money. The staff is friendly and willing to help you out with anything you need. It has a Tiki Bar with entertain right on the premises, which provided a ton of fun. I wanted to right on the beach and didn't want to spend a lot of money for a room and this was perfect. It is just an older motel, but again very clean.”

“This hotel is old and outdated. If you want just a room to sleep in with a hot shower than it is fine. If you are expecting anything else than this is the wrong place to stay.”

• It was an efficiency with microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator, practical.
• Carpet and blankets were very worn.

“My friend and I went just for the weekend, so it was ok. The hotel it's on the beach so I would come back during summer time.”

• Location.
• Older, over grown courtyard, poor outdoor lighting, temperature in room uncomfortably warm.

“This hotel was one of the cheapest on St. Petersburg beach and now I understand why. While the room was clean, the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The temperature in the room was too warm and staff couldn't do anything about it and the courtroom was dark, overgrown, and gave me an eerie feeling. The location was good though and the beach accessible.”

• Excellent location, we could put rented bikes in room.
• Threadbare sheets, unvacummed floors around edges of room.

“The staff is friendly and helpful. It is an older place, great location within walking/biking distance to almost anything. It was adequate for our needs; we didn't feel guilty putting our bikes in the room. The bedding and carpet needs upgraded.”

• Convenient location.
• Housekeeping, manager basically called us a liar when confronted about housekeeping; we had to ask for towels then a discount for our troubles.

“The manager was very rude, handled a bad situation very bad his name is john bombard and I will be calling corporate to complain, also because of our problems they would not give us a discount because we prepaid. He was very rude!”

• Some maintenance issues need attended to: paint of sidewalks general exterior freshen up.

• Being directly on the beach and cost effective.
• Bathtub faucet dripped. No drain plug for tub.

“My granddaughter and I stayed there for 3 nights. Staff was helpful in giving directions and offering to make reservations for us. Room was clean and daily housekeeping was on par with most hotels. Building is an older one and does need some upgrades. We didn't have a car so parking wasn't a problem. I would definitely use it again. I overheard one person say this was her fourth year using that hotel. Another business person said she had stayed there several times and was making reservations for her next trip south. I would definitely recommend it. ”
