• All the staff from Concierge to housekeeping were very helpful and quick to respond.
• The parking and elevator was on the other side of our building. The bathroom fan didn't work.

“This was my second stay. Our girl's week was a very pleasant success. We spent a very relaxing week primarily on the beach in our cabana. Meals and refreshments were readily available both on the beach and in the resort restaurant. Other restaurants, a grocery store, shops and other attractions such as the Pier were conveniently close by. I can't wait to go back!”

• Extra daily fees, misfit sheets, slow response for new sheets.

“The Sirata is located in a beautiful, water-front spot with spacious rooms. They upgraded my room for a minimal charge. However, they charged $8 per day for parking and daily fees for use of beach chairs, etc. Also, at 11:45 pm. We discovered that the sheets did not fit one of the beds. It took 3 phone calls and 45 minutes to get the right sheets (which we had to put on ourselves).”

• I loved that the walls were sound proof. We had children staying in the rooms next to us and didn't hear anything.
• There were ants in the kitchen area and the paint was peeling.

“The staff was super friendly. Parking charges were a little outrageous. The outdoor bars were nice, the beach was beautiful.”

• Rooms awful.

“The resort reminded me of a hotel built in 1982 (or earlier) that did not want to upgrade so they can simply make money. The room smelled terrible, the chairs were filthy, the AC was dirty and the sliding glass door would not open. Come on put a little of the profits into updating your accommodations. The pool and the view were nice and of course access to the beach but I can get that at any resort. I'm looking elsewhere the next time I come to St. Pete.”

“Pretty nice hotel, staff is willing to help. Door locks difficult to work (don't fit door or always work on the first try). Lots of kids, so expect noise, but overall not too bad. Clean linens, but not always restocked with regular bathroom supplies.”

• $8 a night parking and no microwave in room.

“An awesome stay from start to finish. This was our second time staying at The Sirata and both times were wonderful experiences. The only 2 draw backs were not having a microwave in our room and having to pay $8 for parking. But the staff, room, pools, beach, on-site restaurants, etc. were all perfect. Very family friendly as well.”

• The hotel was conveniently located right on St. Pete beach. The room was spacious.
• The hotel staff was slow to respond to a maintenance request to fix overflowed toilet. We had to call twice but they were very kind when we did call.

“This hotel was everything we expected and more. It was located right on the beach and had 3 nice swimming pools. Our room was equipped with a full refrigerator, dishes and a complete oven and stovetop. The only real negative is that it cost $8 a day for parking at the resort.”

• Exterior door to hallway so if you have the drapes open to see ocean from room people can see in room.

“If you are looking for a resort on a quiet beach; but, close to restaurants and shopping this nice place. There are quite a few amenities at the hotel; but, the big sell is the beach. White sands and clear water right out the back door.”

“This is an older resort property located directly on the beach. The room was large with two queen beds and a small kitchen. The location had 3 pools. The two we visited were both very small and overlooked the parking lot as well as the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was clean, but not very private; more landscaping could help.”

• The staff was friendly and location was beautiful.
• Ballroom on floor above our room with huge loud music and party until late each night.

“The hotel was on a beautiful beach. Our room had bay views ok, but not as pretty as the ocean views. The rooms were a little tired looking, but clean. The staff was wonderful. There were several good outdoor bars with live music and a sit-down restaurant right on the grounds, so you never had to leave the hotel. Lots of other places to eat within walking distance for more variety. The only negative was the floor above our 7th floor room was a ballroom, and the loud music from the wedding party vibrated the whole room until late into the night.”

• Remodeled rooms still outdated with uncomfortable mattresses and strong chemical smell from carpets.

“The attempt to bring this hotel to modern standards fell short. Bathrooms are very small and in need of new fixtures. Shower head is approximately 5 ft. Up on the wall, which is fine if you are 4 ft. Tall. But then again, if you stand up straight, you may hit your head on the drop ceilings. The new carpeting and bedding are attractive but the "odor from the carpet glue" hits you like the smell of cat urine and old cigarettes and stays with you. The staff was apologetic for the odor and was willing to change our room to another odor filled room.”

“We were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel ideally situated for our needs. Our only real disappointment was that the food in the restaurant (two lunches and one breakfast) always seemed to be served cold (i.e., cold fries; cold soup; cold mussels; cold pancakes; cold toast -- and returned to the table cold when the waitress was asked for a remedy.”

“Not happy at all with the lack of cleanliness. Our feet actually stuck to the tub as we showered, and the grout and caulk in the tub area was moldy! I will not stay at that hotel again.”

• The location was good. Nice to be right on the beach. Rum Runnerz was a fun spot with good drinks and beach food.
• Felt a bit old and didn't feel very clean for a 3 star rated resort.

“We had a nice time here. It was located around everything, so walking the beach to different areas was fun. Walking out onto the beach and having a fun bar was definitely a great deal. The room did feel old and had a not so clean feel as well. From the outside you get a different impression. You think it's going to be a 3-3.5 star hotel, when in fact; it should really be rated a 2.5 star. It's on the border of being really nice, but not quite there. We did have a wonderful time, but would most likely not stay at this particular hotel next time.”

• The smell in the hotel room approached that of a dead circus, terrible.

“Property needs to be updated badly, wall paper crumbling, rust on door frame in bathroom, horrible smell in room and incessant noise of kids running around outside of room, how does one rest in the middle of romper room? Hotel staff were virtually incompetent, taking nearly 20 minutes for simple check in procedures. I'll never stay here again and if you were wise you wouldn't venture to the Sirata!”

• Looked like they had great tiki bars however, they were not open on a Saturday.

“Good value for the location but when we tried to upgrade to a gulf view room they told us there were none. We later found out from a maid that there were several vacant rooms with this view. I guess they just were not about to give us a great view for the price we paid!”

• They fixed the TV as soon as I asked for it. On the beach and friendly staff.
• The bed, the TV, the standing water in the tub, the noisy fan in the bathroom.

“It was okay. It wasn't what I would call a three star room, although the location and the beach itself were 3-star. We found the staff friendly and immediately helpful, but there were things I wouldn't ask for them to change - like the noisy fan in the bathroom and the standing water in the tub. My response to those kinds of things is just to not return to that hotel.”

• The location was great. Plenty to do in walking distance.
• The rooms were rather dated.

“The Sirata Beach resort has a perfect location on St. Pete Beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. However, there is not a lot of reason to leave this resort with three pools and four bars right on the Gulf of Mexico it is the perfect place to stay and the service staff really treats you well. You can't beat this place for the price. The rooms facing the intercoastal were a little dated, but they were clean and comfortable.”

• The location. It was right on the beach and within walking distance to everything you would need. Also, the staff was very friendly.
• The rooms were not very clean. The comforters looked like they hadn't been washed in months.

“The hotel is perfectly located on the sandy beaches of Saint Pete Beach and a short walk to souvenir shops, restaurants and bars. The staff were accommodating and friendly. The rooms have been updated but the bathrooms have not been. Also, the rooms weren't very clean (the bed spreads had stains). We also had a problem with noise a couple of nights, but when I called the front desk to notify them, they handled the situation promptly.”

• Location is fantastic, parking lot is safe, room furnished very modern and comfortable.
• Bathroom very very very dated and worn.

“The hotel looks to be a group of smaller hotels with one modern building tying them together. I assume the expensive rooms are in the building and significantly better then the smaller old buildings. The room was very nicely furnished and clean but the bathroom was very dated and in dire need of a good scrubbing.”

• The housekeeping was efficient and timely. Front desk was helpful and friendly. They were very accommodating and let us check out an hour later.
• The bed in our ocean Front king room was very uncomfortable. The bathroom in the room was 1 star at best.

“We liked Rum Runners for snacks and lunch and afternoon drinks. NO ambiance at all at the Compass Grill although the food was good.”
