• Cleanliness and the friendly staff.

• Corridors too narrow and ceiling too low.

“Hotel is conveniently located by the beach. Rooms are clean and well equipped (LCD TV, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker). Bathrooms are clean and pretty new.”

• The bed, pillows and sheets were very comfortable!
• The veranda setting was ugly, no view etc.

• Staff was always very friendly and beach area off the hotel was clean.
• The room card keys sometimes had to be tried several times to work.

“Extremely clean and staff was always pleasant. We stayed for 5 nights. A staff member mistakenly threw out my sunglasses from our table outside while I was on the beach. He felt so bad he spent 15 minutes going through all the garbage bags until he found them even though I told him I would just go buy another pair. I'd say that's a very conscientious worker and I made sure to compliment him to the hotel manager right away. We barely had to walk out the doors to touch the beach with our coffee every morning and the convenience of the Ihop restaurant attached was perfect when we wanted a quick meal. We had an ample sized refrigerator in our room and a large room safe so we didn't have to keep all valuables with us everywhere we went. Both ice machines were not available one time we needed ice, but were fine the next time we went back. An excellent hotel for the money and close to everything. We also discovered a tucked away Thai restaurant called Thai Garden at 761 Byway Blvd that was fairly new according to its owner and offers the best Thai food these two Chicagoans have ever experienced. Made fresh every day. Please don't pass this place up if you're in Clearwater Beach. The owner told us that he has given flyers to Quality Hotel, so ask about them. You won't be disappointed! We look forward to our next visit and will definitely stay at Quality Hotel again.”

• I don't know what type of filtration there in the pool, but my eyes burned from thee hour after.

• Room was very spacious and came with great extras like flat screen TV, fridge and microwave.
• The room was near the elevator was very noisy with guests all night long.

“Great for the price compared to neighboring hotels, small beach at hotel, but short walk to main beach. Extremely nice rooms, we were pleasantly surprised. A little problem with noise, I was awoken many times in the night. Overall, we had a great stay.”

• Comfortable, good size room; fairly nice view.
• Not directly facing the Gulf, although technically it is on the Gulf.

• I liked the private beach area.
• Needed a continental breakfast area or at least a coffee bar.

“Hotel was great. Easy access to area attractions. Great view of the water. Very friendly staff. Liked having I-HOP restaurant on property. Would have liked some coffee in the lobby.”

“Our room was very clean with updated appliances, very roomy and a cute little balcony that was secluded from neighbors. I liked the private beach for customers only, and the entertainment at the outside tiki bar. I will definitely come here again.”

“Took my wife and three daughters and we all had a great time. Great location. Your walking distance from food, shopping and entertainment. Nice pool area. Your own private bar and beach. Can't think of anything negative to say.”

• Convenient and reasonable price for on-the-beach location.
• Front desk staff was hard to reach by phone (internal and external calls).

“The hotel was in a nice, beach front location, within walking distance of Clearwater Pier. I was towards the front and was woken up around 2 am by street noise (maybe performers?), but otherwise it was pretty tame for during spring break season.”

• We were close to a private beach.
• There was construction by our room, the staff was not sympathetic and were rude when we needed help.

“The hotel is nice but no where on the description did it say there would be construction while we were staying. The private beach and the pool were very sweet and the best part of the stay. We got lock out on the balcony because the doors were so old and when we finally got help the maintenance man said nothing and looked upset that he even had to help. When I went to check out and explain my concerns. The receptionist apologized but "if should have known about the construction.”

• Right on the beach. Friendly lady at front desk.
• Older small.

“If you want to be on the beach, but not pay a lot; this could be your place. Kids 12, 12, & 9 loved to be on the beach then jump in the pool. We just had a short stay and the place would have gotten smaller with the five of us over more days. The sunsets were great. Don't go to the IHOP attached to the hotel, service was very slow.”

“We stayed at the quality hotel from 2/18/07-2/23/07 and had a room on the 2nd floor with a partial gulf view, the view of the sunset's were awesome, my son's and I spent every night for hours in the heated pool and after we were done took a walk down to the beach area. The hotel is very clean and the staff is great! Parking is free and there are plenty of spots. You are a quick walk to the main beach and a good jumping spot for the area's attractions, I would stay here again it's nothing too fancy but being on the beach is great, there are all sorts of birds and we saw dolphins swimming in the channel. What more could you ask for. I read that the hotel was to be raised and condos put in. But thankfully the owners have scraped the condo idea and will renovate the existing hotel, which is good because I might just be back next year.”

• The view from the balcony was spectacular! For the price you can't beat the quality inn.
• The bathrooms could use zoom work. They are clean but old.

“We were looking for a romantic getaway within out hurting our wallets. That was precisely what the quality inn was. The private balconies provide a breathtaking view of the sun setting over the bay and gulf. The staff was friendly and attentive. There beach although small was very quaint and relaxing. I will be back!”

• I liked the cleanliness of the rooms etc. Also enjoyed the entertainment by the pool and bar.
• I did not like that there was only 1 ice machine in the building that I knew of.

“The hotel was a pleasant experience. The entertainment by the pool was great. The beach was beautiful and the other travelers that were there were a joy to be around.”

• I liked the pool and the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful.

“A nice quaint hotel with a small beach that is great for small children. In March, the heated pool was really nice. I did not care for the IHOP as it was slow and overpriced. The overflow of the restaurant frequently spilled into the lobby. I hope the hotel will be able to remain open despite the proposed condo development.”

• The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in.
• Slightly shabby others might say it has 'character'.

“I really enjoyed this hotel. The staff were fantastic, friendly and efficient. The bed was the best. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good stay on a budget.”

• No in room internet access.

“Amazingly clean, somewhat upscale for a 2 star hotel. While the initial cost seemed pricey, we learned that it was really very good for the location and that all the hotels in that particular area were somewhat high due to limited room availability. The customer service was exceptional from the hotel staff.”

“I overall enjoyed my stay at the Quality Inn. Only problem we had was the location of our room. We had a limited view of the Gulf and located right across from elevator and ice machine which was noisy at times.
Staff was very friendly and informative. Rooms were clean and comfortable.”
