• It was very comfortable and right on the beach. Beautiful scenery!
• There was poor water pressure in bathroom. Also, one of the chairs on our balcony was broken.

“We loved the location, the beach, the comfortable beds and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We expected however to have a free continental breakfast for the cost of the room/stay. It was too expensive so we ate at a cafe directly across the street each morning.”

“From the moment I walked into the hotel I loved it. The staff was very multicultural, very friendly, and very attentive. The room was very nice and they gave us a free upgrade. I only ate breakfast at the restaurant but it was fabulous. I will definitely return here in the future.”

• The staff was very attentive and friendly.
• My door was broken, my internet didn't work, everything was very old and outdated. The bed was so terrible that my back hurt for the rest of the trip.

“We stayed in this room one night, and left. It was a lot farther from the beach than expected, and it should have been a one star hotel. We got locked out of our room because the key reader on our door was so old that it just quick working. The high speed internet never worked. The outlet looked like it had not had any attention in years. Basically, the rooms are run down and this is not the place to stay if you are on vacation and are expecting something half way nice. We packed up our stuff and went to the Hilton on the beach. It was a much better experience. This may be ok for a business traveler if you are used to sleeping on a terrible mattress.”

“The hotel is in a great location. Not cool. The beach facilities were great except you have to pay for a sand chair. First room had a foul smell, was on the lowest floor and was a street view. Second room was down the hall same view. Not quite the beach feel. Great decor and very hospitable staff and food was terrific. Beach was clean and fabulous. Overall is was a great stay.”

• The location of the hotel was wonderful.
• Not very family friendly no microwave in room or on floor.

“This hotel is located on a wonderful part of Clearwater beach. It is located directly next to the pier, which offers things to do two hours prior to sunset and two hours after. There are many restaurants that are nearby, along with a CVS drugstore. The only problem with this hotel was that it is not very family friendly when it comes to the amenities. The rooms are very small, and with two small children it was hard to fit all of our belongings in the room. The room has a fridge, but does not offer a microwave in the room or on the floor. I thought that was very inconvenient, because we could have used this to work up easy lunches and breakfasts.”

• This hotel is very convenient to the beach and pier activities.
• After the maids cleaned the room there was a strong smell of ammonia that lasted for some time.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton on Clearwater Beach. The staff was helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean. My only complaint was that we stayed for three nights and we were given a room that over looked the air conditioning units outside. It would of been nice to have a room with a better view given we were going to stay for three nights. I would definitely stay here again!”

“The hotel staff was very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be very family friendly. The rooms were small, but we did not spend a lot of time in the room. The hotel was located on the beach and we could walk to everything. I would recommend bringing your own beach chair and umbrella, if possible, because there is a daily charge for these services.”

• Clean, friendly and efficient service, lovely room with nice view two pools.
• Air conditioning system a little loud outside our balcony.

“I found exactly what I was looking for. The staff was helpful without being condesending. They explained clearly the parking options without trying to pursuade us to use valet. The beach was clean. The room was a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. I found the poolside service to be very accomodating.”

“The Hilton in Clearwater was a great place to stay for an extended weekend in Florida. From a friendly staff to nicely renovated rooms and lobby to the beautiful beach this hotel met all of my expectations. If you decided to visit, check out becoming a "beach club" member, which for a small daily fee per room you are entitled to a beach umbrella and chairs discounts, and complementary yoga classes. The membership fee is less than the daily umbrella/chair rental. Another great perk is that the hotel is near many of the restaurants and bars in Clearwater.”

• Nice rooms, great location right next to the pier and playground.
• Rooms were a little small.

“Despite its appearance from the outside the Hilton was actually very nice inside. The rooms were a little small (I stayed with my husband and 2 children (7 & 2) but the beds very comfortable and the linens were top quality. The location of the hotel was excellent. It is right on the beach and has a very nice private beach front. The playground is location right next to the hotel as well as the pier.”

“The hotel was right on the beach and pools were small but nice. Lots of kids but it may have been Spring Break. Room we were in had not been renovated like some of the others. Beds were very comfortable and the balcony overlooking beach and causeways were very nice.”

• Great location, newly remodeled, great beds and linens, flat screen TV, awesome beach.
• Modern remodel made hotel somewhat cold, lobby and restaurant not as comfortable as I'd like.

“Good hotel, and great location, within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, marina, etc. The room was beautiful with nice beds and linens. It's newly remodeled which was nice for attractiveness and cleanliness, however, the lobby had a modern and somewhat cold feel to it, and the restaurant and lounge area didn't feel comfortable and inviting. I'd love to be there with my girlfriends for cocktails, but it wasn't ideal for families.”

• Quiet room, comfortable bed, excellent restaurant.
• Food not good at poolside restaurant; didn't like that I had to pay for a beach umbrella or cabana.

“I needed a short stay at a beach hotel for some R&R and the Hilton provided it. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, nicely furnished, very cozy. The hotel was right on the Gulf. The staff was very accommodating. While the poolside grill wasn't very good, the hotel restaurant was excellent: good fish and salads. It was a great value for the price. The hotel should include a beach chair, umbrella or cabana either for free or at least at a discount for hotel residents. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely recommend it and will book it again.”

• We really love the location, the layout of the hotel.
• We had a dirty lip on a glass of wine and the bartender poured it into a clean glass and served it.

“We love this hotel and really like the upgrading that has been done over the past 24 months. We will continue to come to this hotel, providing we can afford the increases in hotel room costs. You couldn't ask for a better location and layout of hotel. Its our familys favorite hotel and vacation spot.”

• Location is perfect - right on the beach!
• Hotel renovations were suppose to be complete (2 weeks prior to arrival) and they were still not finished the main areas of the hotel.

“Fabulous hotel! Beautiful, comfortable, modern rooms. Great beach view. Helpful staff. Fair parking prices. Overall wonderful location with lots to do and great restaurants within walking distance. Hotel will be amazing and highly recommended when renovations are complete (which should be soon).”

“The hotel location was excellent - directly on Clearwater Beach and right beside the pier. The beach was big and beautiful - the sand was so soft! The rooms were newly renovated and beautiful. The hotel lobby is under construction but the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The construction didn't bother! Overall, a great hotel!”

• Hotel staff was very helpful.
• Construction smells were very offensive in the room; no outdoor dining/lounge area except snack bar next to pool.

“This is a pretty hotel in a nice location. When the construction is complete it will be easier to evaluate the hotel. Staff tried very hard to make the best of difficult situations, such as improvised lobby, bar & restaurant. My room was a little cramped with 2 double beds; the bath was really tiny.”

“Room did not have a balcony. Also put breakfast order on door night before and it was never picked up. Turned out to be okay, as we went downstairs to the breakfast buffet and it was delicious. The pool area was very nice, great activities for the kids.”

• We have gotten this same hotel for 6 years running through your service, we love the location and the balconies.
• It has slowly become over packed over the last 6 years and the pool areas do not have enough capacity.

“For location and convenience this hotel is one of a kind in Clearwater Beach. However, with the move towards condos in the region, this hotel is becoming overcrowded and the staff is having a hard time meeting simple pre-check in requests, such as two beds instead of one. Also, the maintenance staff could not keep up with some friends of ours. They had a handful of serious maintenance issues and they were not repaired, handled satisfactorily. We still recommend this place, but it seems to be moving in the wrong direction.”

• Overpriced food and drink, poor car parking, general cleanliness.

“Excellent beach location and reasonably good access from i-4 etc. The hotel has many faults though especially as it costs over a#100 per room per night excluding parking. Others shared our experience at the same time. Firstly room was not ready at the 4pm check in time and we where asked to wait 15-30m minutes, this was after they admitted that they had originally allocated the wrong room with only 1 bed. For 4 of us. The room was not as clean as expected, quite small and located above the very busy Clearwater beach road (noise up to 3-4am from night revelers), the in room safe did not work, we had no in room fridge and we had to call maintenance to open our door as it had jammed and the original key cards did not work. The shower/bath area as not cleaned for the four days that we stayed and an area outside our door was stained by someone on day one and was still there when we left. The breakfast was not up to the standard of a 3/4 star hotel and the senior staff seemed more interested with looking after corporate customers. Self-parking your own car costs $5 per day if you can find a space and all food and drinks are overpriced. Luckily you have direct access to the beach road that contains many good sensibly priced coffee shops, restaurants and grills. Having said all that, the menial staff such as pool attendants, bar staff and housekeeping employees where very helpful and courteous. Generally we wouldn't recommend.”

• The location is very nice, right on the best part of the beach
• The rooms are very old, there are marks on the door, signs of wear in the rooms and the bathroom.

“The hotel is not worth the money they are charging. They were far from perfect. The lobby was very nice but the rooms were what you would find in a motel 6. They desperately need renovation. Also, I was charged for 3 days of beach club instead of 2 that we actually signed up for, so I had to call to get that charge removed. That was not a good "mistake" on the part of this Hilton's staff.”

• Drink prices a little high, but your pay for convenience.

“The Hotel sits on a beautiful beach. Great pool, great view. Within walking distance to everything. No need for a rental car. Take the Super Shuttle from TPA. MY wife and I spent a week in May 2006, perfect time to visit.”

• Food way to expensive!!!

“My Family & I have stayed at the Hilton, Clearwater Beach Florida many times. Our last trip March 2006, was a shocker. The breakfast buffet used to be $12.00 per person, now it's $22.00 per person. Breakfast for two people + tax + tip is over $50.00. I ordered a turkey club sandwich at the pool, it was $15.00. If you go there, don't eat there. It's way to expensive.”

• Seemed short on staff at the various restaurants.

“This hotel was almost perfect. It sit's right on the beach and central to the boardwalk area. It is also right in the center of the Clearwater beach boardwalk so it convenient to everything. It has a true resort feel, you almost don't have to leave the hotel grounds to have a great time. It has been recently remodeled so everything is beautiful and modern. There is really nothing about our stay or this hotel that wasn't great. This is really the only up scale resort style hotel on the Clearwater beach that I was able to find. I would definitely stay here again even if the price is a little high.”

• Noise on the street.

“My wife and I stayed here for most of a week in March 2006. The street is a little noisy around the nearby rotary, you may want to pay the extra $ to face the beach. But the beach is extremely nice. White, wide, pleasant. Wonderful beach views from the hotel restaurant. Several great restaurants within 3 easy blocks walk. We'd recommend the Palm Cove and any of the three French's. We enjoyed the local casual atmosphere at them all. By the way, make sure you visit Tarpon Springs. Very authentic Greek cafes. Shopping is a little touristy, but a very unique place to visit. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there.”

• A little confusion when checking out hotel, the original room we were given was locked from the inside.

“Nice staff, great location, right next to the Pier. Standard room, not a lot of frills. Nice, clean hotel, meets your basic needs, not fancy.”

• The beach club service is wonderful.
• I would have preferred a room with a balcony.

“We were very pleased with our stay at the Hilton. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Clearwater Beach. The hotel lobby, restaurant, staff was very nice. The beach club service was great! The quality of the room was nice - the towels and sheets were nice and that is something I look for. I wish the pillows were fluffier but overall the room was very nice.”

“Being right next to pier 60 and all of it's activities, on the beach, next to a play ground and a variety of boating options was wonderful for my family. We could order lunch and drinks poolside, one night there was a movie poolside, and some nights there was music pool sides. It was great.”
