• It was elegant, well maintained and very clean. Very courteous staff.
• The warning sign, not leave anything in our car, made us feel unsafe.

“Very impressed with the lovely accommodations. Hotel was very upscale and clean. The area of town is very accessible to shopping. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Loved the warm cookies waiting at the front desk, as we returned from our evening out.”

“Hotel is nice. Rooms need updated. The room was clean and will do for a short stay. The bathrooms are clean with an old tub and sink. Television was old with the beds suppose be heavenly, but the bed was not as nice.”

“I stayed one night for business. The room was fantastic, along with the room service. I also enjoyed the meeting areas, as there were chocolates on each table in the afternoon. I felt this hotel was modern and well worth the money.”

• The fact that you had to use your key on the elevator.
• The sheer curtains in the room were, the lamp shade was damaged. When the roomed was vacuumed the furniture was not moved, there were packs of sugar o.

“I only stayed in the hotel for one night. The staff was very helpful. I called the hotel from the airport and a van was dispatched to pick me up from the airport and take me to the hotel. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and I would not hesitate to return.”

• Hotel staff was very nice.
• The bed seemed old fashioned, the mattress wasn't firm and it was lower to the ground than usual.

“Very nice, the pool was inside and you could swim outside to the courtyard and the water was warm. The beds were old fashioned but my overall experience was wonderful.”

• Was not sure what to expect but was very pleased with the hotel.
• No complaints.

“The hotel was clean, had late check in, lots of parking, nice pool and was in a quiet area. We found it easy to get to and there were lots of restaurants within a short drive. We received a room with a king bed which we had requested.”

• Everything! Clean, pretty, secure, great pool and facilities, nice employees.
• The pool temp was a little too warm and I had to dig for that criticism.

“This hotel far exceeded my expectations in every way. I could not have been more pleased. Even the little "good night's sleep" packet, containing a sleep CD, sleep mask, earplugs etc., that was in the room showed how in tune this hotel was to your comfort and having a peaceful good nights rest. Loved it!”

• I felt very safe, it was classy & quietly tucked away yet close to the Mall.
• They did not offer free coffee in the lobby.

“The location was a little hard to find, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean and the entire hotel is non-smoking, yea!”

• Only had one restaurant in walking distance.

“Nice hotel. The biggest drawback is that there is only one hotel within walking distance. I prefer to stay where we can have drinks and walk back to hotel.”

• The water display out front.
• It was kind of weird getting to the hotel.

“We've stayed here several times and it never seems to let us down. The pool is very nice as is the whole atmosphere of the hotel. The decor is wonderful and the rooms are very comfy.”

• The hotel had a beautiful atmosphere and had great safety features.
• I liked everything.

“The hotel was a beautiful surprise to my expectations! This was the first time and it was a great and relaxing experience. They even provided a sleep comfort gift pack with a sleep CD, linen spray, eye mask, ear plugs and nightlight to help improve sleep which is what I needed! I have already recommended this hotel to several others!”

• Room faced east, drapes did not cover window.

“Public spaces looked grand. Carpet in room looked and felt worn out. Bathroom was too small. Shower did not flow. We actually liked the hotel as the rooms/bathrooms/sinks were bigger and were provided free hot breakfast. This is the second time I am staying at a Crowne Plaza.”

• Room was comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The adjoining room allowed too much noise to be heard in our room. I slept very little, because of a wedding party in that room.

“To continue the comments above. The party in the next room was extremely noisy and loud until 3:00 AM. The desk in that room must be directly against the adjoining door, because every time the phone rang, and it rang often after 2:00AM, it sounded like it was in our room. The conversations of the people in that room could also be heard like they were in our room.”

• Was close to where I had my conference.
• It looked like an asylum, the inside seemed old and dirty.

“We stayed here just for the sheer convenience of it being near a conference. The inside smelled like mothballs and had the decor of a 1970's horror flick. In fact we thought we were in the Overlook Hotel when walking down the long hall to our room. The room was chock full of fluorescent lights, an old AC that was covered in dust. However, the bed and pillows were quite comfy and easy to sleep in, and they gave nice "help you sleep" stuff.”

• Pretty, comfortable, and a very friendly and helpful staff.
• The only negative was the bathroom was somewhat dated. It did have everything we needed though.

“We had a short but pleasant stay in this hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. The staff was outstanding, both helpful and friendly. It was a great location central to all places in Columbus for us. I liked the card secured elevator. I have never seen that before.”

• I liked the bright welcoming lobby and the friendly host that greeted us.
• Area around industrial but still very attractive.

“The Grand Plaza was quiet and a restful destination for our family. We were only in town for one evening so we interested in a comfortable clean room and pool. We would definitely visit this hotel again when we travel to Columbus. We were also thrilled to get our price! With the price of gas we probably would not have traveled if lodging had been too expensive.”

• The staff was helpful and friendly. The Pool and fitness center were more than adequate for my one night stay.
• There was quite a bit of noise on our floor along with a guest who was smoking inside of there room.

“This is a great hotel for a short weekend or a few night stay. Common areas are very well kept and nicely manicured. Rooms are a little less attractive, but sufficient. We enjoyed indoor/outdoor heated pool as a family.”

• The sleep advantage beds were great. We got a great nights sleep.
• I made 2 long distance phone calls using total minutes of 8. I was charged $29 for those.

“The hotel is nice, with the exception of a few staff, everyone else was great. Our bathtub would not drain all weekend. We had to work with it and then just let it set. I made two calls from the room to check on my kids, each were only 4 minutes in duration. Upon checking out I was notified that a $29 fee would be charged to my card for these. This was a unexpected expense that I had not planned on. I usually travel on a budget and this did not help. Maybe a charge by the minute listed by the phone, so travelers don't have that shock when signing out.”

• The hotel is well maintained, clean and the staff are nice and hospitable.
• I found nothing that I did not like about this hotel.

“I recently broke my leg, needing a first floor room, for my convenience. I spoke to the desk clerk, she arranged for a first floor room close to the entrance so that my wife would not have to carry the luggage very far. The room was also a handicapped accessible room which was very nice since I have problems accessing showers and such with crutches. The staff was very nice and accommodating in helping when we arrived at the hotel.”

“This one was over the top. Incredibly beautiful inside and out. Our room was luxurious with an extremely comfortable bed with down comforter and down pillows. The room was decorated with very high end furniture and had every amenity. The facilities at the hotel were awesome and the banquet rooms we saw were incredible. The cleaning staff does not start until after 9A.M. which I particularly appreciate. Fresh fruit and home baked cookies were on the counter to be taken as snacks at all hours. Thanks again, you've outdone yourself.”

• The hotel provided snacks at the check in desk. This was good for a quick snack for the children.
• The bath room had a small amount of mold growing above the bathtub.

“The Marriott North Columbus was a very nice hotel. The rooms and furnishings were very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Access to the hotel is convenient and close to many restaurants and attractions. I would choose this Marriott in the future, if visiting the Columbus area,”
