• It was in a great location and I liked that it had a fitness gym.
• The room we stayed in had a bed that folded out of the wall - which was fine – but behind the bed were dust bunnies and an old newspaper.

“I liked the hotel a lot. The location and staff were great! The hotel bar and market cafe were nice as well.
I called the hotel personally to request a queen or king size bed. When I arrived at the hotel, the concierge offered me a room with two double beds. I had then told her that I was told by someone on their staff that I was to receive a king. She handled it well, but we ended up with a room with a king size bed that folded out of the wall. This wasn't really an issue, but the bed wasn't that comfortable and the space between the bed and the wall was pretty dirty. There were dust bunnies and an old newspaper.”

• The beds were really soft and comfortable.
• No breakfast, no parking, no free internet, ice cold swimming pool.

“This hotel is a convention hotel. Typical upscale hotel. I would've preferred the 2.5 star Drury next door with a breakfast, free parking and free internet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The best part was the beds, really soft and comfortable. The down feather duvets were warm, too.”

• I don't understand why hotels still charge for Internet in the rooms.

“Nice hotel, great rooms. Odd location, but good for any business on the north side of Columbus. I was using this location to commute to Eston Town Center on the east side of Columbus. About a 20 minute car ride. I don't understand why 3 star+ properties still charge for Internet in the rooms. Free Internet in the lobby, but charge in the rooms.”

• Very convenient location.
• Paying for Internet and parking convenience vs. price.

“The hotel was very nice overall. Valet parking was pretty pricey and self parking wasn't very convenient (about a block away). There also weren't many quick dining options around the hotel for dinner as everything closed early or was a sit down restaurant.”

• Great View, close location to the nationwide arena,great mattress, was pain free when woke!
• Only had 1 chair.

“Great view of Columbus's skyline, comfortable bed, a virtual pain free mattress! Clean room, romantic, fine dining, staff very helpful.Lobby entrance very interesting. I would love to stay there again next time I visit Columbus.”

• It was everything a Hyatt Regency is supposed to be.
• Totally subjective here. The design is out of the late 70's and is somewhat austere.

“It is a typical mid to late 70's upper class hotel aimed at the trade show business of the time. It would have been top drawer for the times!”

• No trouble at all when we requested a wheelchair accessible room.
• The parking situation was terrible, either pay for valet or park in a nearby shoddy parking garage.

“Very nice and the staff went out of the way to be helpful. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Be prepared to pay for extras that are often included in lower priced hotels like breakfast, parking and internet access.”

• There was not anything I disliked.

“This was a very nice hotel, the staff was extremely professional and friendly. The rooms were clean and looked nice. The hotel had many amenities and walking distance to various restaurants and sports bars. Check in and check our was very fast and friendly.”

• The buildings design.
• No room service after 12, the parking situation, and you had to pay extra to use internet.

“I would say its a decent hotel if they would work on their customer service more. The parking attendant could barely speak English, and the room service was extremely over priced and when I was desperate enough to order some it was unavailable.”

• Great bed!
• It took a while to get the roll-away bed delivered to our room after check-in--we had tired 7-yr-old who needed to get to sleep.

“We would be happy to stay there again. We did not get a chance to sample the restaurant menu or use the pool, etc., but would like the chance to do so in the future.”

• Excellent beds, makes for a good night's sleep and great view.
• When the elevators were busy it took forever, walked nine flights one time to avoid wait.

“My husband and I were away for a kid-free weekend. We have stayed here before and were happy to be visiting again. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. You are in walking distance to shopping, restaurants, bars, movie theater, Nationwide Arena, etc. You can park your car and not get back in until you leave. Parking was convenient and reasonable for the downtown area. The only problem was when the elevators became busy it was an agonizing wait to get one. We opted to walk nine floors one evening rather than wait. We weren't alone. Otherwise, fantastic stay, would come again!”

• Our room had a fantastic view of downtown Columbus.
• There was a cheerleading convention in Columbus and a lot of them stayed here. I did not like this.

“We called to reserve a king bed and received a room with two double beds because there were no more non-smoking king corner rooms available, and they refused to place us in anything other than a corner room but I disapprove of this practice.”

• Its attached to the civic center and there must have been over 250 kids running through the halls.

“The hotel was in a great location. Right where we wanted to be downtown. However it is attached to the civic center, so its best to know what is going on. Our room was right by the stairwell and I am not sure what was going on that weekend but there must have been about 250 teenagers there running up and down the halls and stairs. It was not a quiet night and I really didnt enjoy waking up to the sound of kids thumping down the stairs.”

• Hotel was connected to Convention Center. This made for easy access.
• Had to stay in a smoking room. We could smell the smoke as soon as we entered the room.

“The only problem was the smoking room. We did not arrive until 2:00AM in the morning. Hotel did offer to move us the next day, but we choose not to move. I would love to stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.”

• It is convenient for activities in the Columbus Convention Center.
• Some areas of the hotel appear a little dated/worn.

“The room was beautiful. The staff was helpful & friendly. Check-in went very fast. The only issue we had was terrible elevator service. Most times not all 4 elevators were running. There was a convention there that weekend & sometimes we waited 10 minutes for an elevator.”

“Great location. We checked in and walked right across the stree to the AreNA District. The staff was very, very courteous and professioNAl. The room was nice and super clean. Very comfy bed. Only complaint was room service took forever.”

• I like the location, atmosphere, the view and the service. We have stayed there frequently for many years.
• Parking is very expensive; Id like more convenient parking at a more reduced rate.

“The rooms were very nice, but expect to pay a considerable amount more for parking ($14.00/day), internet ($9.99/day), and were about double what it would be at a normal restaurant. If you want to eat there are several fantastic locally owned affordable restaurants just down the street on High Street (towards the short north).”

“I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel had recently been updated, so the rooms and lobby were gorgeous. We ate a small meal at their bar and it was great. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions to local shopping and store listings. I would definitely stay there again!!”
