• The rooms are huge. I enjoyed having two separate rooms.
• Parking was expensive.

“The hotel is nice and spacious. The hotel tends to overbook, so if you definitely need more than one bed, don't really on this hotel. But, each room has a pull out sofa for an additional bed.”

• The guests staying on my floor were running up and down the halls till 5:30am. Not the hotels fault.

• Good location in the downtown and very friendly staff.
• No free parking and internet.

“I really enjoyed staying there with my family. Parking was not free ($15-20), so I used street parking which was free during weekend and holidays. Internet was about $9.5 per day. Except Parking and internet, the hotel was great: very friendly staff, a big suite room, convenient facilities (micro waive & refrigerator), and great location in downtown. I strongly recommend the hotel.”

• Very nice decor. The doorman was very courteous as well.
• Parking was $20.00 per day extra.

“The hotel was right downtown and overlooked the river which was nice. The bed had a pillow top and was very comfortable. Decor was attractive and modern. Coffee pot, refrigerator, iron & ironing-board, hair blow-dryer, cable, and wireless internet were provided. No continental breakfast was provided. Over-all a very nice hotel for the price.”

“The hotel is in need of renovation, the parking process is confusing and needs improving, and the staff could be friendlier.
The room is quite big, but the TV's aren't flat screen, the refrigerators look like they are straight out of the 1980's and there aren't enough towels available in the bathroom. Also, there needs to be a place to hang towels in the bathroom. You get a parking pass from the front desk upon check in. Parking costs $20 per day which is fine, but then each time you come and go, you are required to get a stub from the little gate machine thingy. Then, as you exit, the parking attendant takes your parking pass that the hotel provides
and the parking stub and writes something on your pass. They then ask if you are planning on coming back. It seems to me that if you have a parking pass from the hotel
with your check out date, you shouldn't need to go through this time consuming process each time.
The night before my check out, I needed to print my airline boarding passes, so I went to the hotel business office. There were no computers available so I waited for several minutes. I then decided to try and get someone from the front desk to print them for me. I went to the front desk,
the front desk person, told me that she doesn't normally print boarding passes and that I would need to do that in the business office. So, at this point I went back to the business office and a pc was available. I pulled up my boarding pass, however when I tried to print, the printer was out of ink. So, I went back to the front desk. This time, a gentleman whose name I didn't get. I explained that the printer was out of ink and that I needed to print my boarding passes, and he promptly (and politely) printed them for me.”

“Very nice and clean hotel. Large rooms, very comfortable beds. Very helpful staff. Within walking distance of restaurants, river, Starbucks and downtown. Overall, a very good experience.”

• The hotel was in a good location and had a beautiful view.
• Towels were never replaced. Woke up at 4:30 am by loud elevator equipment.

“The hotel was beautiful and our room had a wonderful view but when we returned to our room the second day there was no towels. We called twice and were told the hotel was sold out and they didn't have anymore towels. Also the elevator would make a loud squealing noise that woke us up at 4:30 am. The manager did take the parking garage fee off our bill but we left unshowered, tired and unsatisfied.”

“Horrible. Absolutely awful. Room was filthy with cigarette smoke. Front desk would not move me to another room. I had to leave and move to another hotel.”

“If cleanliness is not important on your list than this is a good place for you. In my room when the ottoman was moved we found it had not been moved in ages to vacuum under and had food and crumbs on the floor. The bathroom was not very clean either and I had to get Clorox cleaning wipes to go back over it so I would be comfortable. If you want use of the wireless internet be prepared to pay out another $9.95 for 24 hours and an additional $20 a day for parking. The parking garage, which is under the hotel, was having the floor re-done so we came out 2 days in a row to a car covered in a thick dust. There was no warning or anything to let you know of the construction. This is the hotel of the Columbus Crew Soccer team so there opponents do stay here which was the best part as my children were able to see Kansas City Wizards Players. That is my children's favorite soccer team and the reason we were in town anyway.”

• Front desk clerk in the early AM had a great attitude & was very attentive kids. She gave them free cookies which they loved!
• They allow pets in all rooms. My son & I are highly allergic to cats.

“Overall it was a nice hotel. Very clean and well kept. I didn't like that the front desk tried to charge you $20 for parking when the garage itself only charged $3 after 5pm!”

“The Doubletree is a downtown hotel with a beautiful view of the Olentangy River and the city lights at night. The suite was attractive and the bed was very comfortable. The service in the restaurant was very friendly.”

“Upon arrival at the hotel, I was informed that it was overbooked. Hotel staff immediately provided an alternative hotel which was only 4 minutes away. There was no problem with check-in or during the stay.”

• We had a gorgeous room with gorgeous view and very comfortable bed.
• One of the rooms water glasses had been used already upon arrival, obviously did not use it. The rest of the room was immaculate.

“Luckily I spoke with their manager before arrival day and made our request for nonsmoking room and a king-size bed. He said if nonsmoking no problem but king-size bed with a view, only if available the day of arrival. I mentioned that the manager said if they had one available it shouldn't be a problem. Guest services then did not hesitate to change our room plan to the upgraded room with the king with a view. I was very pleasant and not persistent when I spoke with Ryan and to guest service personnel and they were equally pleasant and respectful to me. It was a very pleasant experience. It was a very positive experience and was above and beyond my expectations except for that used water glass. But the whole experience minimized that.”

• Most delicious cookies, ever, given upon check in and then when requested again.
• Hotel bar was mediocre.

“Great place to stay - got snowed in and had to stay another night and they were very accommodating. Had great suggestions for dining in the area and actually gave us a 10% off coupon for a restaurant we selected from their suggestions. Very nice staff. Oh, and the cookies they give you at check in are absolutely delicious. I went back and got two more!”

“I drive a hummer H2 and they do not have parking for this size vehicle. This was a very big problem. I had to park me vehicle in a no parking zone and was very concerned.”

• The room was comfortable. Good view.
• Unprofessional room service staff. Trashcan liners not used in facility. Wireless service not dependable.

“Pros: Our room was clean, neat, and elegant; with a good view. The alarm clock offered an auxiliary hook up for an mp3 player or other device. The food was enjoyable and served in "real people" portions. The front desk staff was courteous, and the cookies they give out at check-in are delicious. Cons: Watch out for the dine-in staff! Pretty mouthy, and unprofessional. As a result of a fire code/hazard, trash liners were not allowed. When asked, we received huge clear trash bags. The broadband wireless service was unavailable for over have of our 2-day visit. If you'd like to relax and watch TV, don't expect much. No movie channels were available. Overall, the room was not the best that we've stayed in, but if you're going to be in the meetings for most of your stay, it would be ideal.”

• We were impressed with the spaciousness and the cleanliness.
• For the comfort of the other person, the hair dryer should be in the actual bathroom.

• Good location, near many good restaurants, convenient to convention center.
• They "nickel and dime you"! Newspaper not complimentary, Wi-Fi not complimentary, no shuttle to convention center, careless desk clerks!

“Overall, I'd give it a "7.5" rating. As noted, many standard complementeries such as newspapers. Wi-Fi, etc. are the usual at most hotels of this type. Not so here! Desk clerks not very helpful and somewhat arogant. Rooms were great, very comfortable, but there's more to a Hotel than conditon of the rooms!”

• I liked the openness of the rooms, and the comfortable bed!
• I do not like the parking, I thought the fee was very high and parking was dangerously close to other cars.

“I thought it was a very nice place to stay besides the parking fee and the parking spaces being to close, that at this point cant be changed but the fee's could, I would stay here again, I do prefer it over the Hyatt but valet parking is great to have there.”

“The hotel is very good about correcting any problems with the internet registration. My address was given to the hotel incorrectly and my selection of type of room was also wrong. All of these problems were corrected almost immediately by the hotel.”

• Large suite rooms with 2 TVs and fridge/microwave/coffee maker.
• Restaurant breakfast was way overpriced, and skimpy meal, waitress was blunt.

“The hotel was about a 3 long block walk from Nationwide Arena, and the Arena district. It was in a nice area. They charge eighteen dollars a day (weekdays) for parking with in/out privileges. There isn't a pool on site. The suites are large, like 2 rooms connected by French doors. One side was with a table and chairs/loveseat/kitchenette/TV/desk. The other side 2 beds/bath/TV. Nice if you are traveling with kids. We found used food in the fridge, but the room overall was clean.”

• The rooms are very spacious.
• Free parking for guests would be nice.

“Everything about this hotel is exceptional the large, quiet suites, the convenient location in Downtown Columbus, the friendly and helpful staff, etc. Although the hotel doesn't have a swimming pool or fitness room on the premises, the free pass to the nearby lifestyle fitness center is a great substitute. I have stayed in this hotel several times over the years (by myself on business, and also with my family) and it's always been an enjoyable experience.”

• The suite provided was beautiful, clean and spacious.
• The hotel staffs seemed unorganized at both check in and check out.

“The location was in downtown Columbus. We had Asuite which overlooked downtown and was very beautiful. The suite was spacious, clean and quite attractive with furnishings. For the price, we could have never stayed anywhere else and had the accommodations we had here.”
