“It was very nice, but it is all non smoking. Being a smoker I had to go down 3 floors and stand outside. I think they could make an area for visitors to sit and smoke. Many were outside standing by the doors to smoke. Everyone was very friendly and room was great. Thank you.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Carla from Fremont, MI
“The hotel was very nice and the rooms were clean, nice location, friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is about 3 miles from downtown, offer free shuttle anytime to downtown, was disappointed to find that due to the holiday weekend no shuttle was being offered, cost 18.00 for taxi one time back and forth, the remaining days we drove ourselves. Hotel offers no ice machines on any floors, had to call room service who then provided a pitcher of ice, which was not enough to fill cooler, rooms had no refrigerators. Restaurant and bar were not open past 11:00 pm, no coffee was available until after 8:00 am.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 13, 2008 by

“The hotel was overbooked. My husband and I didn't find out until the night before that we didn't have a room.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Jill from Spring Lake, MI
“I loved the St Regis! Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is so gorgeous. It is an older building that was remodeled. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.” Apr 20, 2008 by

“This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations as far as only being rated 2.5 stars. It was a very clean, upscale hotel that I would have guessed at least 3.5 - 4 stars.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Robert from Battle Creek, MI
“Very modern, newly renovated hotel had a very inviting lobby as well as room. Rooms were a tad on the small side, but were overall very appealing. Location was outside of "Downtown" and should rather be considered Midtown Detroit, but the area didn't appear to be too blighted. Definitely exceeded my expectations, especially for a two star.” Dec 13, 2007 by
Mike from Englewood, OH
“Very nice staff, clean rooms, pleasant.” Oct 24, 2007 by

“This hotel seems to be geared toward a very elite group and if you are a "normal" guest you weren't given as UCH respect as other guests.” Sep 8, 2007 by
Frank from Las Vegas
“The only reason my wife and I stay at boutique hotels is for the detailed customer service. I recently stayed at the Hotel St. Regis and had a delightful time. The staff remembered my name from the moment I checked in until my departure. My wife loved the High Tea that they served in the library, and I enjoyed the free WI-FI. Most luxury hotels charge for it, however it was an added amenity here. My only suggestion is to add plasma TVs to all of the rooms rather than just to the suites.” Aug 22, 2007 by
Nick from Huntington, IN
“Wouldn't waste my time again.” Jul 7, 2005 by
Harley from Harrisonburg, VA
“In an old historic area of the GM Building when GM offices were downtown. The St. Regis was the hotel of choice for visitors then and now the owners are doing a good job of bringing it back. Nice, modern, updated facility.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 8, 2004 by
