• Location for shopping. Accommodating staff.
• No restaurant for evening dinner.

“Good location and friendly and helpful staff. No surprises and all paperwork was complete. We were given a room with two queen sized bed upon request at no additional charge.”

• The rooms were bigger than expected and very quiet.
• It was in a location with offices/factories.

“I believe due to the fact that no one was at the hotel, it made the trip very enjoyable. It was extremely quiet. We may have been the loudest people at the hotel. The hotel may have been a little dated but we did enjoy it.”

• Nothing really. it was a nice place to stay and I looked forward to going to my room in the evening.

• The pool area, the balcony overlooking the court yard.
• The beds were listed as queen size but were not that big, we were not told about being able to purchase breakfast.

• TV at awkward placement relative to the bed, mediocre coffee in the lobby, no free breakfast.

• The bed was the best I've ever had traveling--and I've traveled a lot.
• Ordered a refrigerator for medication and had to wait a day because they forgot.

• clean, quiet enough, centrally located.
• Bathroom not secluded enough and bathroom fan not powerful.

“You go away for a weekend with a woman, and you have to use the bathroom. Well, the way things are currently, if she's in the room, she's going to be able to hear and/or smell whatever goes on in there and that's clearly not good for romance. Hotel's should absolutely, to increase the comfort level of their guests, include high powered fans in their bathrooms. Something that makes loud, but white noise when switched on to cover unpleasant sounds and also gives the guest confidence that any foul odors will be removed quickly.”

• Staff went out of their way to help us with a problem.
• Out of the way location for us.

“Very clean, attractive hotel with especially helpful staff. Slightly out of the way location for our needs, but near a large mall and several good restaurants. Doors to rooms on outside. Our, on the ground floor, had glass sliders. A sign on the slider said it only opened 4" but it made me nervous.”

• I liked the hotel location and the staff.
• One out of the way elevator and stained carpeting.

“I thought it worked out fine. The location was good for where I needed to be but I don't think it was quite up to the standards of most Courtyard hotels that I have stayed in. ”

• The staff was very friendly
• I wish I would have had the breakfast buffet included in the room price.

“I enjoyed my stay. I especially appreciated the pillows. There were feather and foam to choose from. I love feather and my son has an allergy to feather and needed the foam filling. The bed was comfortable and the pullout sofa was surprisingly comfortable.”

• Staff was friendly and courteous and quite knowledgeable about the area as this was my first time in Detroit.
• The inability to order dinner into the room although this is drawback of Courtyard Marriot's in general and not specific to Troy.
