• Close to my event.
• Large hotel it is - Room service limited.

“The walls are tissue thin, we heard the loud party goers next door. The beds were awful. Elite hotel like that with those folding in the middle mattress was mind blowing. We didn't bother to ask for another room. Didn't think it would matter. The going rate listed was no way in the world I would have paid that much.”

“Very nice. Rooms could use a little updating, just a little older looking. Beautiful lobby, very attentive staff. Everyone very nice, friendly and helpful. Hallway noise was loud the first night but quiet the next two. Better insulating doors would help.”

• The lunch speical,
• No refrigeator in room thought the floors could use some plants hanging from the belconies, perhaps some hanging IVY.

“Over all very nice. But thought that the decor. was a little to cold once one left the lobby area. I was disappointed that the pool was not gear to swimming laps, nor had ladies locker room for changing.”

• Very convinient for my business needs, very clean, very good if you have to meet people at the lobby without taking them to my room.
• Nothing really.

“For an older hotel this is really very well kept hotel, looks like newly renovated and very good for meeting with business associates either using the lounch at the lobby, or the bar, or the restaurant. I will for sure come back again and surely recomemnd it to families and friends. The thing I love the most is having such a good deal for the quality. Thank you so much Priceline.”

I have ever seen a friendlier staff. Every time I walked by somewhere who worked there I was greeted and asked how everything was. The hotel was comfortable and very nice. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.”

• Room temp was not able to be changed. It was cold.

• It's very elegant in the lobby and hall ways.
• There was no free WiFi. This should be standard in all hotels.

“The bathroom is very small. The room was quiet except for an occasional slamming of doors. There is no high speed free internet service. Our vehicle was parked in a lot and two cars blocked us in. It took over an hour for the hotel to find the owners. They did buy us lunch though.”

• The pool had large steps making entry easy for little kids.

“The hotel was very grand but appeared to have a lot of empty rooms which is probably a reflection of Detroit in general and not Hyatt. The hallways are open which is a little scary when traveling with small kids.”

• Lobby, facilities, decor and quality were excellent.
• The hotel room was generic for the price, with only a small TV (no flat screen) and simple bathroom. For a 4 star hotel, unimpressive.

“We stayed in the Hyatt Regency overnight for a romantic evening, while the hotel lobby and facilities were all clean and of exceptional quality, the rooms were unimpressive. The beds at the Hyatt are wonderful (one of their hallmarks) but the commitment to quality seemed to end there. There was no flat screen TV, instead, this four star hotel has stayed with a small tube TV in a tacky armoire. For the hotel level, the bathroom was also sadly reminiscent of a Hampton Inn. Everything was clean and decently appointed, but I expect more out of a four star.”

• Pretty long walk to the pool.

“This hotel was what we had hoped for in a mother/daughter weekend. Impressive public spaces, clean and comfortable rooms. The pool was the warmest we've found yet (and with 4- and 7-year old kids, we swim a lot), though it requires an elevator ride and walk through the public space to get there (change at the pool restroom). I overheard great comments about the restaurant. The parking is free and convenient, the hotel is directly across from a large mall and 2 miles from The Henry Ford Museum. To top it off, the front desk even sent us cookies and juice just to be nice. This is a definite return!”

• It was close to the major attractions I was visiting.
• There were some very noisy people in the halls.

“I would definitely give this hotel a high rating and would like to stay again. It was clean, had a convenient location and its restaurant was really great! The only issues I had was there was a wedding reception going on and a Halloween party so there were a lot of noisy tenants. All and all though it was a very good experience!”

• Pool area did not seem to have change rooms - just washrooms.

• The bed was extremely comfortable. The accommodations were very nice in general. Thank you.
• The toilet ran for a long time after flushing. I think it was broken. that was the only noise I heard all night.

• A very nice Marriott. The rooms were executive, and huge!
• $10/night for internet service.

“Nice hotel. We got executive (very large) rooms. During the weekend, self park in the garage is much less expensive than the Valet service. Elevator conveniently rides to the hotel lobby.”

• It was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very helpful.
• No refrigerator or microwave in the room - standard fare in hotels with much lower ratings.

“This hotel was absolutely beautiful. In terms of luxury, if atmosphere and elegance are what give a hotel it's ranking, then this hotel definitely deserves 5 stars. We were sorely disappointed in the amenities this hotel provided though. What is common in much, much cheaper hotels was not available here. To get a microwave or refrigerator in your room was an additional $30 each per night. That is absolutely outrageous to us! There is no continental breakfast available. In-room internet access is another $9.99 per day. As we were there to sight-see, we did not plan to spend much time in the room so all of the luxury was just fluff to us. We were extremely surprised that one of the most expensive hotels in the area did not provide even the basic amenities that a Comfort Inn or Best Western would provide - and they are only 2-star hotels. The hotel staff was very courteous. Overall, it was a beautiful hotel but we didn't come there for that.”

• Best thing for young children was the heated pool it was very warm, I loved it!
• The hot tub needed cleaning.

“This was a lovely motel and accommodated all kinds of travelers. We had small children who loved the pool and the elevators. The motel was clean and the staff was pleasant.”

• Staff was very professional and went out of their way to help.
• Room decor was outdated, furniture not well maintained, i.e., stains on carpet and chair. Ceiling in bathroom was peeling.

“Quite sleepy location not too far from Downtown Detroit. Hotel felt safe and secure, great lobby and entrance. The rooms while fairly clean were not well kept interims of laitance or updating the decor for a four star hotel. Room service was fairly quick and good quality. Parking is above ground on a lot and it is patrolled but the hotel does not take responsibility for any damage or theft of vehicles.”

“The room was nice, any chance a 4 star hotel will replace old TV's with flat panel. This is embarrassing, my goodness, join the 21st century before it comes to an end. What's up with no internet connection. I paid $9.95 for a T-Mobile wireless connection. Spent 3 hours with hotel and T-Mobile tech support. Come on people this is basic service for a business traveler.”

• The front desk staff ensured my happiness by moving me to another room on request.
• More 'direction' signs are needed as you walk in the front door. I got lost trying to find the check-in counter.

• My wife's dinner was excellent. The staff in the restaurant was excellent.
• Cleanliness of bathroom was poor. Old bathroom fixtures made it look and feel cheesy.

“Not the level of cleanliness we expected. The bathroom floor was dirty (the grout lines) and the bath fixtures were old and functioned poorly. At check-out we were not asked about our stay or we would have said something. for the good the restaurant staff was excellent. While my dinner was ok, my wife's was excellent. The location was great, easy to get to and very quite. What bothered us was the bathroom.”
