• The bed and linens where nice quality and soft.
• The room, bed, and bathroom were very small.

“The Dearborn Inn, built in 1931, had great historical significance. Those who appreciate old charm and historically accurate decor will appreciate this hotel. There were several areas in the lobby that were warm and inviting for guests to relax. The restaurant food was delicious; however, the setting largely resembled an old banquet hall. The grounds were beautiful with well manicured lawns and gardens. The rooms were clean comfortable with modern Marriot bed linens and Bath & Body Works toiletries, but they were also very small. Size is its primary difference from new hotels. We requested a room with one bed, and the bed turned out to be full size as opposed to the usual king or queen size. The open space in the room was minimal, and the bathroom was tiny. The room could not have been any smaller. Overall, it seems more like a bed and breakfast than a 4 star hotel. While I know that some may appreciate the cozy feeling of a bed and breakfast, I had expected large rooms, a king size bed, and other modern amenities that come with every other 4 star hotel.”

• Great location for what we needed; beautiful property, great beds, nice room.
• Nothing, everything was great. No nearby restaurants.

“A gracious, older hotel. We were lucky and got rooms on the Concigniere (sp?). The room was larger than some we read about in the reviews. Very nice bath, wonderful beds. Beautiful grounds. Had breakfast at the hotel, it was reasonably priced and good. Did not eat at the other restaurants.”

“The hotel was beautiful and had a lot of character. Although, the rooms were a little on the small side. Restaurants were good and staff very friendly and helpful. I attended a wedding at the hotel which was beautiful.”

• The lobby had ample space to kick back and relax.
• There was no (unlocked) closet in the room.

“For the high price on a 4-star hotel, I was shocked that the room did not include a closet or a refrigerator. The space was also very claustrophobic. Outside the room, however, things were fine. The bar and the lobby were both attractive and spacious.”

• Attentiveness, responsiveness & attitude of staff were second to none.
• Crumbs in hallway were not vacuumed up in a 48 hour period.

“I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Detroit on business or pleasure. I have traveled the world and bar some properties in the far east I have never received such exceptional consistent service.”

• Everything about The Dearborn Inn is beautiful; our dinner that night was excellent.
• Our room was small, not a problem for us but a larger room would have been nice.

“We loved everything about our stay at The Dearborn Inn, it is such a beautiful place, the Inn, the grounds around the Inn, everything. Our room was small, fine for a couple like us but not for children without getting a second room. We had dinner in The early American room - it was awesome. I had Prime Rib, wife had Fillet, price for dinner was very fair for the meal we had.”

“The Dearborn Inn had every amenity that a family traveling overnight could possibly want. The staff was very helpful, even when it was inconvenient to assist us. The bathroom amenities by Bath and Bodyworks were very refreshing and relaxing.”

• The hotel was well maintained, especially considering the age of the facilities. The beds were very comfortable.
• Rooms showed their age a bit. Ultimately they looked older and might be in need of some small updating.

“This hotel facilitated a pleasurable stay with great helpful staff. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable; but, the rooms might be in need of some small updates (i.e. New carpet, and paint/wallpaper). The common areas were very well maintained and the grounds were beautifully manicured. Overall it was a very nice hotel that I would recommend to couples, business travelers and families alike.”

• They offered transportation to & from the Museums we went to. They also offered rides to restaurants etc., if needed. That service was very nice.
• The 2 rooms I booked for our family vacation were not in the same building.

“Even though the Dearborn Inn is somewhat of an older hotel, the rooms were clean & very comfortable. We did have plumbing trouble in one of the rooms and air conditioning didn't work, the staff was quick to respond. All in all we had a pleasant stay.”

• We really enjoyed the beautiful grounds at he Dearborn Inn, exceptionally maintained!
• We didn't find anything that we didn't like!

“Our stay at the Dearborn Inn was wonderful. We lucked out and got a corner room, which was very spacious. My son's room wasn't as big, but was still very nice. We loved the atmosphere of the lobby, the beautiful grounds, the location was great. We will be back for sure. It was a great night, and we plan to stay for a long weekend the next time we visit Dearborn!”

• Awesome hotel with a lot of historical character and close to the Henry Ford Museum.

“Everything about the hotel was first class! The hotel staff was efficient and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable also luxurious bed, pillows, and comforter! We had breakfast in the restaurant and that was also first rate. If we are ever in the Detroit area, we will plan to stay at the Dearborn Inn again.”

• We loved it. Nothing we did not like! A first!

• Extremely small room, no control of temperature.

“Beautiful old class style, wonderful Sunday brunch. Friendly staff and a walk out back to the homes that can be booked was a treat. The fitness center was fine. I'd go back if I could somehow get a bigger room. Bed was very comfortable.”

• Area is not the most attractive.

“Great old hotel - very clean. Cottages are an awesome addition. Staff were very friendly - service was outstanding. Lounge was the perfect place to have our Fantasy baseball draft. Accommodations were very much worth the price we paid. While we did not have concerns about safety - area around the hotel was not attractive. Beer and other drink prices were a bit high. Food was okay, not great. We will likely be back.”

• Comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice staff, cozy and secluded vintage hotel with just about everything you need.
• Some rooms are smaller than most Marriott. I have stayed in but it¿s a historical classy hotel.

“Rooms were smaller than I thought they¿d be but the niceness of the staff and the great service I received well made up for the inconvenience of the smaller rooms. The hotel was built in the 1920`s and is a true work of art.”

• Stayed here before, if you get a queen size room they are really small, this trip they had a king size and it was a little better.

“This hotel is old and stately. Close to Ford but little else, which is not a bad thing. Stayed here before and the room I had was so small I thought I was in a closet. This time they gave me a king size bed so it was better.”

• The exercise room was very nice and the equipment was all new and up to date.
• Although the room we stayed in was nice and well decorated it was very small.

“The Dearborn inn is a beautiful and romantic hotel with a lot of history. The hotel is very well decorated, and very charming. I do not know if all the rooms are as small as the one we stayed in. But needless to say our room was very small, but we still enjoyed our stay and would go back.”

• They charge for everything like local calls, internet etc. Seemed overpriced at regular rate.

• Room & bed too small for two people.

“Ditto the bed, a "standard" size, according to the front desk. We asked to be transferred to a room with a queen-size bed. The second room was noticeably larger, but still small by modern-day standards. The bed still seemed to be standard size -- crowded for two people of below-average to average build. The Dearborn Inn is a wonderful historic hotel -- if you don't mind the tight accommodations that were probably the norm for 1931, when the hotel was built.”

• Beautiful charm, attention to detail in every aspect from rooms to lobby to dining and grounds.
• It was a little further off the highway than I desired but, worth it!

“The staff, grounds and ambiance far exceeded my expectations. The historic inn has been lovingly maintained. It remains true to the original design yet has all of the modern amenities rolled in maintaining the charm. Strolling on the grounds is a memory not soon forgotten. Simply wonderful.”

• It was well located for touring the Dearborn area.
• It was a little noisy because it was an older building.

• Desk clerk was barking into a walkie talkie and inattentive during the check in procedure.

“A convenient location to Greenfield Village and relaxed environment for the leisure traveler on a Sunday visit. I stayed at this location as a business traveler and was pleased it suited me just as well on my mini-vacation.”

• The hotel is so close to Greenfield Village and the Museum. It was perfect for our home school trip, including history even where we slept.
• I was disappointed that there was not an indoor swimming pool at first, but the blessing we got staying there was better than a pool!

• The hotel itself was very beautiful and intimate, great for a romantic getaway.

“This hotel was one of the best we've stayed in. Not only was it beautiful, it was comfortable, especially the beds! It was built in early 1900's and is immaculately maintained. It has every elegant touch from that era. It was our anniversary and this hotel was perfect! Very intimate and romantic!”

“I find it disturbing that at 8:00 a.m. I was awakened by housekeeping entering the room. They should know that I was checking out and not have entered the room. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous.”
