• Close to freeway.
• Despite repeated calls to tech support slow internet.

• It had a kitchen.
• The smoke alarm always went off.

“Overall it was a great hotel but the fact that they had a kitchen in the hotel means that the fire alarm is very sensitive, so you need to be careful if your cooking and theres a lot of smoke cause it goes off fast. Other then that there are really no close by shopping centers for grocers or anything and there is no real entertainment. Also if your going to bring a DVD player or a game player there is no where to plug it in on the TV.”

• Except for computer error it was suitable.
• The computer did not have our registration.

“I have stayed here before. There was no reservation for us when we checked in even though we had the confirmation. Sea had a computer glitch, thankfully we were able to get a room as the facility was empty? What would have happened if it was booked and we had a valid reservation. The clerk was helpful was caught in a bad position and it was mass day! Also, the phone was fevered turned on.”

“Generally an acceptable over night stays for business travelers in Oakland county. Close to dcx and Oakland university. Much option for food, some within walking distance.”

• Very comfortable rooms with affordable DSL.

“Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Close to Daimler Chrysler world hq and Pontiac airport. Good shopping and entertainment within a short driving distance north or south.”

• Clean easy to find convenient to restaurants and highway.
• Only one driveway into hotel missed the entrance first time around.

• Price was acceptable.
• Zero amenities -- not even a cup/glass.

“Confirmed late (2am) arrival, but had to pound on door to gain entrance. Room was clean, but that was all that could be said for it. I went to bed right away (decent mattress), and was glad that I'd ordered a wake-up call because the in-room alarm didn't work. I discovered while preparing to shower that there was no shampoo and, when I went to brush my teeth, found no glass or cup. Given that there was no ice bucket, this should not have been a surprise. I would have been happier staying in a Motel 6. (It also would have been nice if, when I told the hotel staff where I was coming from, they had told me that I-75 was closed for a fourteen mile stretch. That would have made up for everything else.) I will not stay there again.”

• Nice, quiet location, close to restaurants, clean and comfortable.
• Bed cover could be washed more often.

“Nice, inexpensive hotel, providing all the basic standards for a value oriented traveler. Got all the basic amenities. Clean rooms and the lobby, all looks new or newly remodeled. Good location, close to the freeway, but at the same time quiet and walking distance to few nearby restaurants. Good value for the money”

• The room was spacious.
• I got in to town early, but could not get in to the room until after 2:30.

“Nice place, however I found it odd that there was no one working the front desk all night. Seems unsafe.”

• Hard to get in drive if you come from the South.

• The fact that I was able to get two rooms for a very reasonable price
• I was told, when I called them 5 days ahead, that I could get a room with a door between. When I checked in the rooms did not have a door between.

“This hotel is very clean and reasonably priced. It is conveniently located near Oakland University and several good restaurants. Each room has a kitchenette and roomy bathroom and upholstered chair for sitting. It is quiet and restful.”

• It was the worst experience I've ever had in my life.

“The entire staff including the actual General manager was rude and ignorant. No fresh towels, no clean, never emptyed garbage, nothing at all. I've contacted the corporate office and will also be contacting the BBB about my experience.”

• I like the fact that you have your own kitchenette in the room.
• I found nothing about the hotel that I didn't like.

“The staff is extremely courteous and always more then willing to be of any assistance. The rooms are always clean and equipped with the kitchenette and a coffee maker for your convenience.”

• I liked how helpful the staff were to me and my guest.
• Check-in was at three and our room was not ready . Finally at 3:45 they moved us to another room since ours was still not ready.

“I really enjoyed the hotel. It was nice and clean with a very helpful staff. The room was accommodating and well kept. I would stay there again.”

• didn't thing this was a 21/2 star hotel
• smoking room - didn't have another king bed to out me in??? wasn't full ???

• The staff are very friendly, the rooms are spacious and have refrigerators.
• We were in a non smoking room but the room smelled like smoke.

“The Homestead suites are centrally located. The hotel is within walking distance to shopping and any number of restaurants. The staff is very friendly, the rooms feature a refrigerator, dishwasher and stove.”

• There was a whole kitchen in the room...very nice touch,
• The receptionist when I checked in was very impolite and acted as if I were putting her out...very rude.

“Everything was great about the hotel and stay... the place was clean and it was in a very convenient area. There were no amenities in the room, like shampoo and such, and also no dishes for the full kitchen. The girl at the front desk was very rude at check in, however, the girl when I checked out was wonderful.”

“The Homewood Suites was clean and the staff was nice -- but I didn't get the "WOW" feeling I have experienced at other stays. Their high-speed internet was down, so they gave me a "bridge" unit to the wi-fi system, which gave me access to the internet, but wouldn't allow me to sign into their system, rendering it unusable. The desk told me I would have to make my own call to the internet service desk -- which, of course, was in India and they couldn't help -- after almost an hour of trying! No big problem, just one of the inconveniences you run into when moving' west, I guess!”

“I thought that it was nice abd peaceful! The only problem I had with the hotel is that it didn't have an swimming pool! I don't like hotels without swimming pools! Thank you”

“I did not like the fact the hotel only provided one queen bed and no other options. What if I was traveling with a friend or someone of same sex? Also, the fact that the Homestead hotel provided no housecleaning or taking out of the trash until after 4 days is horrible. I had to take out my own trash!”
