• This hotel was very clean and comfortable and the bed was like a cloud!
• The only problem we had was the shuttle that drove my son out to a concert wouldn't go back and pick him up because of a snowstorm.

“This hotel was fabulous and the bedding (the reason we stayed at a Hilton) was absolutely wonderful! The hotel was very, very clean and safe. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. As I said above, the only complaint we had was the shuttle that took my son and father out to a concert, wouldn't go back and get them because of a snowstorm. Otherwise, it was a wonderful hotel experience.”

• A lot of arguing because of pool rules.

“Staff was great, hotel overrun by unattended youth, 2 days of arguing over pool rules; we couldn't let my grandson swim because of overcrowding of pool by unattended youth. Would have liked more choices of dinner from room service, better vending choices and bar hours could have been more accommodating. The room was very nice and clean.”

• All the rooms are two room suites.
• The staff didn't enforce the no minors in pool area after designated time.

“I have stayed at this hotel two times. Both times I have been pleased with the rooms. They were clean. Each bed had four feather pillows and a feather blanket. My one complaint is that the hotel staff doesn't enforce the no children in the pool area after 10:00 p.m. We were there to relax and at 11:00 there were still many children screaming in the pool area.”

“When I arrived I was told that only smoking rooms were available. I can't stay in a smoking room so I asked to change the arrival date. The front desk clerk agreed to change the date and I need to pay extra for that.”

• Front desk staff extremely friendly.
• Poor service in restaurant; good food.

“The desk staff went above and beyond when my purse was stolen and gave us free breakfast. It was not the hotels responsibility, but the manager really impressed me. The pool area was clean. The room was awesome. I'd go back again and again.”

• We liked the comfortableness of the suite. We really liked the design of the suite as well.
• A couple of the lights didn't work but that was no big deal.

“We enjoyed our stay because it had everything we looked for in a room small fridge, microwave and a very comfortable bed. Everyone was helpful and friendly and we've already recommended the hotel to friends.”

• The hotel was in the perfect spot.
• I call to make sure I had two beds, but ended up with a King size and pull out couch. The restaurant was under staffed for dinner.

“The hotel was just down the road from our concert and easy to get to. Pretty hotel lobby. We were told we would get a room with two beds, but ended up with a king size and a pull out couch. The pullout was terrible. Hotel was sold out, so they couldn't move us. Pool and hot tub were great; the sauna was a little small. We ordered dinner from the restaurant, but there was only one server and we ended up taking it to our room and eating it later that night.”

• No lifeguard or staff intervention when teenagers in pool got unruly and unsafe.

“Located too close to a crime ridden city, felt somewhat unsafe. Staff friendly, especially front desk, store clerk and housekeeping however pool not as clean as I would expect and no supervision. There was a group of unruly teens that were engaging in rough, dangerous behavior necessitating my leaving the area with my young children.”

• The location of this hotel more than met our needs. Great beds.
• Needed to be updated.

“The location of this hotel met all of our needs. The rooms had a nice layout with plenty of space. Rooms were also stocked appropriately and very clean. Bar area downstairs was a nice quiet relaxing stop at the end of the evening. There was a pool table as well. The front desk was unhelpful 3 out of the 4 times I spoke with them. (Same girl the 3 times.) Also the phone in our room did not work. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Overall, for the price, it was an acceptable location to stay at.”

• Proximity to the palace and shuttle service, the van driver was great!
• Front desk staff was rude, could not find reservation, and gave me (single female) a ground floor room in the farthest corner of the hotel.

“OK hotel if you are not going to spend much time in your room. Use the hotel shuttle; it is a great service if you are going to a nearby spot, like Palace.”

• Everything, It was nice, quiet & cozy. The atmosphere was perfect & that the hot tub didn't close till midnight/adults. The bar was great. I'll be back.

• Great bar lounge area and roomy suite with everything I needed.
• Bathroom wallpaper shabby near floor. Coming loose.

“My stay at the Auburn Hills Hilton Suites was an excellent experience. The hotel is very well kept and managed. The bar/lounge atmosphere is relaxing and the food is great. The suites are very nice with everything you could want. They were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Room service was quick and accommodating. I have absolutely no complaints, only positives regarding the HS. I will make the Hilton Suites my hotel of choice when I'm in the area.”

• Sink handle fell off. You had to pay $9.95 for internet service. Coffee pot broke, fridge didn't work.

• The layout of the room was great & the beds were very comfortable.
• The bathtub was very shallow.

“We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt suites and the room exceeded our expectations. The layout of the room was great and would've been perfect if we'd brought our children as there was a completely separate living area with second TV set. As it was, my husband and I were there for a romantic get away and it could hardly have been any better. The bed, bedding & pillows were absolutely plush. The atmosphere of the hotel was very serene. The room was quiet and I slept better than I do at most hotels. The staff was friendly and efficient. I'm looking forward to going back!”

• When we pulled out the sofa bed we discovered items that should have not been there if it had been cleaned.

“No one was at the front desk had to wait to check in. She was not very interested in being pleasant! Later that evening my daughter and I went to the lobby shop to look for flip flops to wear to the pool. We were on our way and barefoot! The security guard who was also working in the store was very rude! He told us we needed to go put shoes on. He made us feel like nasty criminals. He watched us the whole time we were in the store as if we were shoplifters! We were so upset we didn't even buy anything and we didn't go to the pool. We just went to bed! Worst staff ever!”

• The size of the room was generous, the beds comfortable.
• Rooms badly need updating, very worn. No good restaurants within walking distance, 2 miles from the worst part of Pontiac.

“The staff was exemplary and friendly. Check in and checkout was a breeze. The room was neat, clean, but the wallpaper, fixtures, and living room furniture were much worn. Bathroom very dated as well, but generous amount of room. Wireless internet is free in lobby areas, $10 in rooms per day. This is unacceptable, but sadly it's becoming a standard practice among "upscale" hotels. The pool area is very nice, as is the sauna. Towels are generously provided. The workout facility is small has several life fitness machines, including an excellent elliptical and treadmill. Beware the universal gym, it's way past due for replacement because it's just so badly beat up and pretty much useless. Parking is secure and well lit. Travelers should feel safe in this hotel despite the fact that two miles west of it is the eastern part of Pontiacs inner city, which is not safe. This is not Hiltons fault, but one should always be aware of where they're at and their surroundings. That said, for what I paid, I got good value.”

• Close to the palace of Auburn hills and restaurants.
• Shower/tub a little out dated, but very spacious suites.

“It's very hard to find fault with anything this hotel has to offer. We stayed here because it was only 3 miles from the palace of auburn hills. It was clean, easy to find, and well worth the money. This would also be a good hotel for business travelers. The rooms are suites and are spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again.”

• I love the suite layout. Lots of room.
• Sofa bed needs to be inspected.

“The pull out sofa bed would not unfold properly. We ended up putting the mattress on the floor and sleeping on it that way. Also, garbage under the beds and sofa bed. But, still love this Hotel.”
