• The staff was friendly and helpful in all aspects of our stay.

“The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Both nights we ate at spots recommended by the staff. Both restaurants were very good. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends.”

• Room was nice with gift of sleep mask, earplugs and pillow spray. Friendly staff, pool, great restaurant!
• The floor of the bathroom did have someone else's long hair on it. The rest of the hotel room was clean and attractive.

“I thought it was wonderful. I would definitely stay there again. My 6 year old niece visited & loved the pool, my 14 year old daughter & I thought the room was so nice. Friendly staff. Great restaurant.”

• The pool area is amazing for a 3-star. Newly renovated and incredibly well-designed.
• The rooms are on the small side. Many of the non-smoking rooms smell of smoke.

“We loved staying here. We decided to go for one night to attend the Arts, Beats, and Eats in downtown Pontiac the first evening and then head to Holly for the Renaissance Festival the next day. Our kids (5 and 7) love swimming so an indoor pool was a must-have. When we actually saw the pool, we are pleased beyond our expectations. The whole hotel was renovated in 2006 so everything was up to date and the design was contemporary. The pool area was beautifully done by someone with a flair for design. The whirlpool tub was inset into the ground and looked really nice. Best of all was the use of lots of glass and skylights. During the daytime, it felt like you were out in the open air (without the issues of facing the elements). We even enjoyed dozing in the deck chairs while our kids played (not something we enjoy doing at other hotels for any length of time) The pool was kept heated to a very nice, warm temperature, so you didn't shiver when you first jumped in. The sauna was the first I've seen with glass doors so you could keep an eye on your kids while enjoying it. You do sacrifice some heat for those doors, but in my book, it was worth it. The hot tub was hot, but not too hot (some hotels scald you). The food in the restaurant was ok. Nothing spectacular but good enough and it was nice to have be able to get Pizza Hut pizza. We ate there 4 times during our stay for the convenience. The breakfast was cheap - $6+ for adults and free for kids. If you join their Priority Club (free), you can get extended checkout - usually until 1pm. We also managed to check in early (we just called and asked) and got in at 1pm. We liked it so much we ended up staying another day.”

• There were nice updates in the hotel and the pool was nice. Convenient location.
• Everyone in the area smokes and the room they stuck me in was smoking. I could not stand this. It makes the whole experience worse.

“The location was great, right off 75 and I know my way around from this area. The pool was nice and the staff was polite. The entire floor I stayed on smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and the room was smoking, even though I requested non smoking. If you are not a smoker, I would not recommend this hotel as the smell was almost unbearable.”

“Hotel could not accommodate. When asked for roll away, said they were not available. One of our party had to go elsewhere and then we returned from our event to discover that they did in fact have rollaways. Restaurant staff was slow and did not appear to enjoy their job much.”

• Clean. My children enjoyed the pool. Warmest hot tub I've been in in a while.
• Very few amenities close to the hotel (i.e. grocery/convenience store).

“It was located conveniently to the Palace for the event we were seeing. Easy access to the highway as well. The restaurant, O'Malley's was great. If going to the Palace of Auburn Hills again for an event I would stay there again.”

• I love the fact the pool area is open 24 hours for adults.
• They charge my credit card 3 times without my knowledge and I am still trying to get the charges credited back to my bank account.

• The staff was very friendly and accomodating.
• I was placed in a handicap accessible room which was of much poorer quality than the other rooms.

• The pool, whirlpool and sauna all was in view of each other so could keep an eye on the kids.
• Hotel breakfast buffet included sausage gravy, chicken gravy and scrambled eggs really watered down.

“I stayed at the hotel with my five children ranging from 7 to 13 in age. My son boxed in the silver gloves held near this hotel. We greatly enjoyed the pool area and the room was clean and fairly nice. The hotel nor the restaurant would accept the Visa gift card I had received for Christmas. The card said it was accepted anywhere that Visa was accepted. I didn't have any trouble using the card at any other restaurant, store, or gas station? So that was odd.”

• Did not clean the room thoroughly when we were out for the day. I had to call them and even then it was not clean.

• The elevator was really slow.

“This is a good place to stay in the San Antonio area, you do not need to rent a car since the trolley stops right outside and will bring you to most areas for $1. The rooms were sized right for business travel.”
