• The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, decor was impeccable.
• The location is about a 20 minutes to the closest city, but was nice that it was so busy.

• Our room had some kind of frosting or something on the shower curtain.

• The staff was wonderful and the hotel was spotless.
• Bathroom could have used more counter space.

“We loved this hotel. We were treated royally and the staff went out of their way to assist us. The hotel was very clean and looked new. Friends who stayed at a nearby hotel said they could not believe how clean our hotel even smelled clean. Wonderful!”

• I loved the Bath and Body Works bath products!
• They were a little stingy with the pool towels, not many available.

“We asked for a 3 star hotel in Auburn Hills, MI. This hotel is actually in Pontiac, a neighboring industrial city. The hotel was in the shadow of an auto plant. However, it was as nice or nicer than the Hilton or Crowne Plaza in Auburn Hills. It was very clean, modern, quiet. Beds were awesomely comfortable. Bathroom very clean. Pool area was well maintained, although a bit short on towels. Two nice restaurants within walking distance and several lunchey restaurants just across the parking lot. Overall, I would stay again, as long as I wasn't looking for scenery.”

• Newness, very nicely decorated and for the most part clean.
• Did not make the beds the first day, hot tub was not hot, some cleaning issues.

• Nice selection of TV channels.
• Waited 15 minutes in the restaurant and was not approached by a server. I left the hotel in search of dinner.

“The professionalism of staff is uneven. A few are people oriented, most are average at best when it comes to guest interaction. One woman was rude in ignoring me as I approached the front desk at approximately 2:00.The maid knocked on the door to my room at 9:00AM on check-out day asking me what time I was checking out. Why do I have to remember to put the do not disturb sign out to avoid housekeeping banging on my door. Why can't housekeeping work from a check-out list. This was not an excellent experience. Even the people who were polite complained that they were, in effect, short staffed.”

“Similar to most other Marriott's, a nice hotel that attempts at being high scale but is a nominal 3 star hotel. Very overpriced menu but many restaurants are within 5 miles. Not many other attractions are close and the indoor pool is very small. Great for business travelers.”

• Very nice interior, rooms, pool, exercise room.
• Location - not many nearby attractions, points of interest, shopping, etc.

“Very nice upscale hotel with great ambiance and a high quality attentive staff. It is within driving distance of several points of interest, but walking distance of none. So if you have a car and want a really nice place to stay, this is a great.”

• Very clean, very helpful and friendly staff.
• Loud! Family with children going up and down hallway speaking in loud voices at 4 in the morning, until about 5:30. No bathroom fan to cover noise.

“Didn't see all of it, went to wedding and was out late, up early. Lobby was very nice, staff helpful with last-minute toiletry needs. Was a little noisy, would prefer less traffic in halls in the early morning. Room clean and comfortable, only odd thing was lack of bathroom fan. Would stay here again, but next time I will bring my white noise maker to cover the hallway noise.”

• The pool should have an age restriction after 9pm. 18 and over maybe.

• It was incredibly nice, clean, comfortable, and friendly.
• (I) The shower faucets were confusing, and (ii) there's no covered parking and there was a snowstorm.

“I thought it was a great hotel. I have nothing negative to say, except that there was a snowstorm. And I don't think the hotel could control that! Bottom line I would love to stay there again.”

• The facility was new and clean. The staff was friendly. I would recommend this hotel, especially to business travelers.
• No food service after midnight.

“We found the hotel and amenities excellent. As indicated above, I would recommend this hotel. The purpose of our trip was an overnight to see Bonjovi at the palace. It was close but not that convenient considering the traffic. I would suggest that perhaps you try to attract this type of business and have a shuttle service available. I would definitely go back especially now that I know my way around and know that we should have left earlier for the show.”

• The pool was wonderful! The linen was like home.
• For children we would have liked a microwave.

• Not much to do in the area; highly suited for business.

“Hotel is exceptionally clean and in excellent condition. Rooms were well-decorated, and the beds were fantastic. The front-desk staff; however, were rather rude. As a business traveler, I was dressed in a button up shirt and khaki pants. My spouse, however, wore a T-shirt and jeans. The staff ignored her the entire time.”

• When I had a problem with my first room they compensated me for the inconvenience.
• The housekeeping person was in and out in 5 minutes and did not do a good job.

“I got extremely ill and was on the verge of having an asthma attack due to the construction fumes such as paint smells, etc. It took me 24 hours to recover from spending a night on a newly renovated floor. I asked for a room change and they gave me the best suite in the hotel and even though I was sick, and couldn't function, at least I had a beautiful environment. I also didn't have to eat out because the concierge lounge provided breakfast, appetizers and dessert. The management of this hotel understands the concept of hospitality. The new rooms are beautiful, but I will avoid the hotel for the next 10 weeks until the environmental problems are stabilized.”
