• looked like a gang hotel, lots of young men hanging around the pool.

• Rooms were nicely decorated and breakfast was good.
• Thought it was a Fairfield Inn but has recently been sold. Outside entrance to rooms.

“This hotel is fine but we were somewhat disappointed. It was really a motel with outside room access and was no longer a Fairfield Inn which was what we were told when we booked our reservation. The rooms were fine with decent decoration and the breakfast was nicely put out.”

• The price was acceptable.
• The room was in poor condition, we got lost trying to find due to lack of sign age.

“I would not recommend this hotel without some serious upgrades including improved sign age, improved access (extremely dangerous intersections).”

• Near shops and restaurants the staff was really nice.
• Some channels on the TV were fuzzy.

“My hotel stay was nice. This hotel was right off of the interstate and close to the mall, movies, and plenty of eating establishments. My room was clean and the hotel staff were friendly.”

• Convenient to restaurants and interstate access
• Rooms were very warm even with air conditioning on high cool.

“The hotel was adequate for a place to sleep and has a decent pool. I have stayed at much nicer hotels for the same price. I would recommend lowering the star rating by one to more accurately reflect services and accommodations.”

• It was easy to get to.
• There were 3 people in the room with one bed.

“The hotel lobby was hard to find. The staff was friendly. It was my husband myself and my 13 year old son. They gave up one bed. It was late and we had been traveling for 12 hours. I did not complain. We just went to bed.”

• Nice staff, eager to please.
• First room that sent me to was occupied, no hot tub.

“About what you would expect from a Fairfield in. The staff was very courteous and eager to assist. Rooms were fairly well maintained. Right next to the freeway, but no noise to speak of. Good experience overall.”

• Clerk issued wrong card key at first.

“Hard to find, signage for turn-in is inadequate. Hotel staff friendly, but got the wrong card key at first. However, it was quickly rectified. Room was just fine, lots of TV channels, cute little snack bag, bottle of water.”

• Very nice staff, very clean rooms, excellent breakfast included.
• You could faintly hear the train going by.

“Staff was very friendly and offered lots of suggestions. They told us about the continental breakfast. I was expecting donuts and bagels. Nope, belgin waffles, eggs, lots of fruit, cereal, pastries, yogurt. Room was very clean. New carpets and bedding. Beds were very comfortable. Nice, inviting pool area. There is a train track somewhere in the vicinity, because I could barely hear it. It was not enough to wake us though.”

• I don't like the rooms opening directly to the outside. Breakfast area not kept clean and stocked.

“This is a very pleasant and well-kept hotel. The Continental breakfast was exceptional with a wide variety of items offered. Rooms were very clean and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. Would recommend to friends.”

“This hotel was very clean, the front desk help was very nice. We asked for a roll away bed and had it at the room by the time we got our bags into the room. Strongly recommend.”

“I start to value Marriot hotel chains after I stayed in Marriot hotel, the Residence Inn, and the Fairfield Inn in different parts of the country. The basic standards are higher than other hotels and their are all family friendly. I really like it no matter it is a hotel or motel. I think I can trust the Marriott.”

• It was a Marriott quality facility.
• The service drive to the facility and parking for the facility was awkward.

“The gripes I have with this hotel is with housekeeping. There were three of us is each of two rooms but both rooms had only two towels and wash cloths. One room was not cleaned on the second day of our stay. Housekeeping had already left before we returned to our rooms so there was no correcting the problem. The staff would not even bring clean towels to us, I had to go get them myself. I am sure this was a oversight from the staff and is not a usual coinsurance”

• Convenient location. Nice breakfast buffet. Cookies at night.
• Tiny bathroom. Not up to national standards for this brand.

“Excellent location and very good price for Valdosta. Nice breakfast buffet, waffles, eggs. Attractive pool and lobby area. Otherwise hotel is rather old with outside entrances and extremely small bathrooms, hard to even close the door behind you. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Desk staff very friendly and helpful.”

• Very convenient to the interstate as well as dining.
• The high speed internet was very slow!

“This hotel is great for business travelers. It is comfortable, roomy, the continental breakfast is actually half decent and the beds are very comfortable. The only downside was the high speed internet which was very slow. If you have an internet based job or have files that need to be sent. I cannot recommend this hotel.”

• The young lady at the front desk we checked in really late was incredibly friendly.
• Would have been happier if they had polyfoam pillows rather than down pillows.

• Disgustingly dirty beds and carpet.

“We always get this hotel. Last time, the bed mattress was soaked underneath the sheets (the comforter on top was dry though) when we got in it. Had to wake my 3 yr old son (sleeping in other bed) to move rooms at 10:30pm. Also, our feet were black from the dirty carpet within minutes of our arrival (not the first time this has happened either). The shower didn't drain well and the toilet barely flushed.”

• Overall it was clean, comfortable and quiet.
• We had an issue with a palmetto bug in the room. Only 1 but 1 too many.

“The hotel is right off of the interstate. However, interstate traffic was not a factor in noise. It was very quiet. The motel is well maintained and was clean. The linens looked new and the rooms were cool and welcoming. The location is very convenient to a number of good restaurants and fuel and banking.”

• Air conditioner was extremely loud.

“This is an older building and not very well maintained. It was clean and met my needs, but in no way did the location or the staff exceed my expectations. Complementary continental breakfast was also fine.”

• Maintenance could be better. The ac in our room was missing parts and did not cool well.

• The rooms were clean and neat. The desk clerk was awsome.
• The doors didn't lock and we were confirmed for 2 doubles and got 1 queen per room.

“The hotel was convenient and clean. The desk clerk when we checked in was awesome. she was professional under a lot of pressure. We did however have problems with getting the doors to lock. It was also a little difficult for three adults and 4 children to sleep in two queen size beds. We were confirmed for 2 rooms with 2 doubles each. All in all, the hotel was nice.”
