• Close to ice arena.
• Very poor breakfast buffet.

“The hotel was very nice for our short stay. Room would have been more comfortable for us with lounge chairs, however the pull out couch was handy if we had need of it. Towels could have used some fabric softener. Had we stayed longer, a microwave would have been a plus. The breakfast area was attractive, but breakfast buffet selection poor and price of food to buy too expensive.”

• Very clean, very large rooms, excellent location.
• Breakfast stunk, fruit had off taste, not much too offer, coffee dispensers didn't work very good.

“Very friendly employees, a good location, just off the interstate, very pleasing look and relaxing area in the lobby, I would not recommend the complimentary breakfast buffet that they offered, something wrong with the fruit, tasted terrible, not much else offered other that a few bagels, and dried cereal.”

• The hotel was great and the atmosphere was exactly what we liked.

“The hotel definitely met our expectations. We loved the room and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was located close to all of our destinations. They offered a continental breakfast, which was quite selective. The pool was very nice and the pool area was kept very neat and clean. We were pleased with our entire stay.”

• The workers are very friendly and accommodating.
• The breakfast is not freshly prepared. Fruits are spoiled.

“We stayed for two nights. The hotel staff are very friendly. Hotel room is clean and spacious. Everything looks, feels great until the breakfast time. The cut fruits (cantaloupe) tastes sour. After complaining to the hotel staff, they replace the fruit, but still taste sour. Apparently the fruits are cut long time (several days) ago and are not fresh at all.”

• The room had a great large screen TV and comfortable bed.
• The pool area was filthy, the indoor pool had bugs and hair floating in it and the water was freezing.

“Took 20 minutes to check in with only one customer in front of me. Had to wait for them to decide on what food item they wanted. Computer wouldn't work correctly, took two phone calls. ext.”

• I liked the overall appearance of the hotel, clean.
• No restaurant/bar.

“Very nice, upscale hotel. The 42" LCD TV's in the rooms are a very nice touch. The king size bed was comfortable. The exercise room could have a bit more of a variety, but that's a small issue. A hotel of this type should have a bar/restaurant onsite, although J. Alexander's Restaurant is a short walk from the hotel. In this day and age, I think it's ludicrous for hotels (or any business for that matter) to charge patrons for hi-speed internet access, although this hotel gives you the first day for free. I would recommend this hotel.”

• Front staff extremely helpful.
• Housekeeping-problem every night, one night after a long day, my room had not been touched.

“The food was expensive and poor quality. Housekeeping was an issue every night, no coffee left, no clean cups, bed made poorly or not at all, no wash cloths, no clean towels left. Front staff was very helpful.”

• They only cleaned places that would be seen first.

“Definitely a business hotel. The concierge directions were off, spent an hour looking for a laundry mat. Free breakfast was nice, but it serves the same things everyday. The looks of the hotel were impressive to say the least. It looked very upper-class and the service was nice. The pool and fitness center were convenient.”

• The layout of the room - sleeps area and couch w/ a partition.
• The bathroom - I hate the tiny bathroom w/the sink on the outside.

“We loved it. The beds were comfy and the modern decor was beautiful. Additionally, the location was EXCELLENT close to everything restaurants, movies, shopping, and 25 min. To Downtown Detroit.”

• Quality of the rooms at a low price is amazing!
• Absolutely nothing.

“This is not the first time we have stayed at a Hyatt Place and I know it wont be the last! I love this hotel, from the wonderful beds to the oversized couch to the 42" HDTV to the free wireless internet. If you havent stayed at Hyatt Place yet, do it, you wont get that nice of a room in a 4 star hotel!”

• HDTV was nice. The Rooms were very well decorated.
• Wasn't nice not to have water in the morning. Apparently the city had shut the water off. But the situation was fine after a bit.

• Conveniently located, knowledgeable/helpful staff, free self-serve continental breakfast, online access.
• There is a shuttle vehicle logo shown on your site's amenity page as well the hotel's in house page, but the service is not available to all.

“The property is geared to business travelers and caters well to them. The rooms are clean, modern, updated and spacious. The lobby is tiny but well-organized. However, if they are going to exclude certain customers from all services that are available they should not have the fact that they are discriminating against non-business travelers out in plain view. I was denied in my request for shuttle service when others had the same request granted. I complained about this to management at the time. Two weeks later, no one from Hyatt has bothered to respond. This leads to the conclusion that for such a new property the hotel is being run on a very tight budget. I would not mind staying there again, but not until I get a response from someone about the discrimination issue.”

• The staff treated us like royalty! And the rooms were just the best, better that the Royal Pacific in Orlando!
• Absolutely nothing!

“When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and given a tour of the accommodations, very classy! There was a beautiful seating area, and the eating area was just perfect with ceramic dinnerware, and real silverware! If we looked like we needed anything at all the staff was just ready and willing to help us with all our needs, and just so gracious about it. The room size was just enormous, and the TV's were just incredible! My kids were on a vacation of their own with their video games hooked up to the huge TV's! There were just so many great things! We had adjoining rooms so we could all be together or separate as need be, and the decor was just 5 stars all the way! My family and I have stayed at many hotels, including the Wyndham and the Royal Pacific in Orlando, but the Hyatt Place was way above them as far as the rooms and staff was concerned! Thank you for making the beginning of our vacation one we will remember fondly for many years to come!”

• The staff was so accommodating, and gracious! When we checked in we were greeted as "on-line guests" and treated like royalty!
• I just wish all of the hotels I book could be exactly like this one!

“When you walk in there is a seating area, and the check in desk is like a work of art, all the seating and dining areas say, "you are welcome here, all your worries are gone while you stay with us"! I just can't say enough about the people that work there, and this hotel!”

“I found the hotel to be in a great location - just off the highway we were traveling. The room was wonderful - just newly remodeled and very modern and spacious. The hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. We wished there was a hot tub by the pool.”

• Clean with large rooms, decent breakfast.
• I had trouble checking in, my pl reservation was only 2 hours old and not in their system. Staff apologized and corrected problem within 15 min.

“A solid 3 star establishment, many of the other hotels in the area are pretty old and getting shabby, this hotel was very clean and well staffed and appeared newer. Pool, free hot breakfast, close to nice restaurants, kitchens in rooms with microwave and fridge.”

“This hotel was clean, the pool was small but clean and warm, and the free hot breakfast was a great addition. We were very disappointed however upon getting to our assigned room to find out that we had been given a smoking room. We actually did not even reach the room before determining that this would not be acceptable, as a strong smoke cloud greeted us immediately upon the opening of the elevator door. ”

“Overall the staff from the hotel are great. They were pleasant knowledgeable and very friendly. The breakfast buffet far exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and clean with a nice view of the pond. The location was great close to shopping and the highway however the pool area and also the exercise room were in dire need of attention. They were both extremely dirty (walls not washed, pool chairs filthy and breaking apart) and in need of major renovations. They brought the quality of the hotel down a lot.”
