• The room set up and furniture and the bed was awesome in comfort.
• Some of the lobby furniture and rugs were very worn.

• Great rooms, flat screen televisions, very clean.
• Small bathrooms.

“Great location attached to Laurel Park Place Mall. The hotel was very clean and front desk staff helpful. Rooms were large, beds comfortable and had oversized flat screen televisions. Did not use pool, but looked very well maintained. Great stay!”

• Room was beautiful, well appointed, great bed, deluxe HD television.
• Internet/email connection $10/day and they failed to make up my room, and no bathroom fan.

“This was a beautiful hotel; our room was quite nice with a great bed and a big-screen HD television. Only negatives: This probably would be a great option for a business traveler, but for leisure travelers just looking to check email, it was a big turn-off.”

• Very lovely room.
• No radio in room, only TV!

“Staff very accommodating and friendly. Room quite luxurious, though would be even better with a small frig and especially, a radio. Elevator voice announcing floors sounds like a sulky woman with an attitude many guests remarked on it and I can't for the life of me understand why the hotel doesn't change that. Desk staff says they get complaints about it all the time. Very odd and mars an otherwise lovely experience.”

• The mattresses were among the best Ive ever slept on!
• No free internet access in the rooms and the business center is pitiful.

“Lovely atmosphere, friendly (though not overly knowledgeable) staff. The rooms are very small, but very pretty. Could use more storage space for clothes, but we made do just fine. My only real negative is the business amenities in room computer internet access costs $10 a day, and in the "business center," there is one pitiful computer ("old"). Ethernet access in that room is sporadic (the connections didn't work on 2 of the cables). Business travelers who do not mind paying for internet will love the location, but for those who do not want to pay, you will hate the lack internet access and no meeting space other than the lobby. The entire hotel is decorated beautifully, location is great.”

• Excellent location for business travel, excellent restaurant, and personal safety is never compromised.
• Did not like having my room at the end of a long hall which veered off at a right angle out of sight of anyone.

“The Livonia Marriott is an excellent full service hotel with friendly responsive staff. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, excellent work out facility and restaurant add to the conveniences available. Location is good for travel as the interstate is less than a minute away. I always feel safe here and will attempt to stay at this hotel whenever I have to travel to the Detroit area.”

• The bed was very comfortable, with very nice linens, TV was a flat screen.
• The hotel was in a nice location next to the shopping mall and movies.

• Comfortable rooms, bed especially with the enmities of plus bed and covers.
• The restaurant, not separate checks and we were not served as important customers.

“Clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant which we out of convenience used was not user friendly as we are the customer. We spent over 300 dollars with all the celebrating and time to visit and not treated with high regards and respect for our requests.”

“Great hotel in a good location. The breakfast buffet is significantly overpriced, and I didn't care to pay $10 per day for internet access. However, again, the hotel was very nice.”

• I loved the comfort of the bed.
• Shower head had zero pressure, no fridge in the room, no wireless in the room wired internet for 10 dollars.

“I checked in without any problems. I was surprised that I had to be stuck to a wire to use the internet and for a fee; you get free wireless at most 2 stars for free. The bartender in the lounge was not in the slightest friendly, she came across downright rude. The Hotel was OK. For the price it was nice. I am just glad that I brought a cooler since there wasn't a fridge in the room. The gym was nice, the pool was warm, room service was prompt, I special order and everything was prepared exactly as I had requested.”

• I did not like the view from my room!

“Although I like the physical appearance of the inside of the room. I was given a horrible view. I checked in around 8 p.m. and it was dark outside and I was a little tired when I entered the room. I looked out the window and was highly upset to see the view of the trash dumpsters. I left a comment card with the hotel front desk and have not heard anything from them. I was not pleased with that seeing that I paid 80.00 to view a trash dumpster when I look out the window.”

• The room was beautiful, and the bed was out of this world.
• Not a thing.

“This room was worth three times what I paid for it. The room is newly remodeled, with marble floors; granite table tops, pillow top bed and a plasma screen TV. Everything was new and clean, and the service was exceptional.”

“The hotel is currently being renovated. This did not affect my comfort level. I stayed in one of the renovated rooms and loved it. Fantastic king bed with multi count linens. Hotel is in a great location with a friendly staff. I will definitely stay here in the future.”

• The room was recently renovated and like new.
• The pool water is a little to cold.

“Love the place and the price, it would be perfect if they would warm the pool to 85-90 degrees. It feels like about 78 degrees.”

• My pre-ordered breakfast room service did not arrive at the prescribed time.

“Overall, a lovely hotel! They are in the process of remodeling, and my room had been completed. Beautiful furnishings, fresh and modern, flat-panel television. Staff is efficient and courteous, but not terribly friendly. My one and only complaint was that a pre-ordered breakfast did not arrive at between 7:15-7:30 as requested, and when I called at 8:15 to cancel they still hadn't even prepared my meal. But that was the only disappointment. I would definitely stay at the Livonia Marriott again!”

• The room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.
• Undergoing remodeling, no hot water on first day. Very inconvenient.

“Although it is a fine hotel, the problem with the remodeling/construction was very irritating. After letting the staff know that I had no hot water to shower with they said maintenance doesn't come in until 7:00 am. I had to leave at 7 for my business meeting without having shower! Very annoying and no offer on the hotel's part to make things right. I will stay again but only because of location convenience to my office.”

• Fantastic location! Great connected mall and restaurants outside the mall and hotel.
• Attention to detail regarding cleanliness of room - pillow cases had smudge marks and coffee sets and cups weren't completely cleaned.

“A great hotel with a great location. Very safe and lots of great restaurants right around the corner. Mall is fun for the evenings and movie theater, though small and pricey is certainly convenient. The theater is expensive for non-stadium seating ($8.50) but overall, the hotel is great. Friendly service. Cleanliness of the actual room could have been better. Was good, but could be better. Coffee and tea cups were a bit messy and tea wasn't refilled after cleaning.”

• I love the comfortable beds and the decent TV channel choices.
• The indoor pool water was to cold, the internet was too expensive.

• Upgraded our room to sleeper sofa for my son. Mall attached to the hotel.
• Breakfast not included.

“This is a great place to stay. The mall is attached to the hotel. No need to even go outside. Room was immaculate. They even upgraded our king size room to a king with a sleeper sofa for my son. Internet access in the room. The room was not huge, but it was sufficient for two adults and one teenage son.”

“I love staying at this hotel on my business trips to Detroit. The convenient location to shops, interstate roads, and restaurants is a major factor. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean; beds are comfortable, atmosphere is conducive for my business work in the evening. I feel safe and secure here and will continue to stay here whenever I am in Detroit on business.”

• The bedding - love the bedding.

“I always stay at this hotel when I head to Detroit on business. I've had some issues w/noise from the next room, the walls do seem to be very thin at this hotel. However when I¿m not next to a loud room I usually have a good experience at this hotel. I really love the bedding and the rooms are generally very clean.”
