• Great price, free rolaway, very accomodating staff, comfy bedding, large selection buffet (fee), free parking.
• Beds were not as comfortable as some chains and no shuttle.

• The staff was extremely friendly and cooperative!
• The location was a little bit unsafe because of the amount of road traffic nearby.

“The hotel has clean rooms and is family friendly. The location, although close to the interstate, is somewhat difficult to get in and out of. It is adjacent to a busy shopping mall and is a great location for eating and shopping.”

• I wasn't pleased with the room.

“The overall hotel was fine but the room was a disappointment. The room was small, the walls were so thin that I could hear my neighbor using an electric shaver at 5AM. It also took a long time to get more towels upon request.”

• The chef make the breakfast buffet a really excellent experience.
• Some of the scanners at the exterior door to many tries to work.

“The Livonia Courtyard is a very pleasant lodging facility. It is a bit upscale, but not over the top. Very clean and stylish, the facility is very comfortable. The best part is the staff that I dealt with. Happy friendly people work there, that make your stay a very positive relaxing time. The agents at the main desk were wonderful as well as the ones at the breakfast buffet.”

• I can't think of one thing every thing was perfect.

“Rooms were spotless, smelled great, exercise room open 24/7 land scrapping had fresh flowers, every where people were helpful and friendly I would and will stay at Marriott's every time, me and my family travel, my father in law is not doing well so we plan to be in Michigan. Every other week end and that's were will be staying Marriott's. Thanks.”

• Late night coffee not available and pool was a bit chilly.

“Quiet, clean, comfortable rooms - the staff is outstanding! The attention to detail in how our room was kept was noticeable! The smoke free environment was a treat. The grounds were well very well maintained, offering a beautifully landscaped court yard to enjoy. We had a very nice stay.”

• Quiet, front desk printed out MapQuest for me, friendly.
• Coffee I made in room wasn't the best.

“This hotel met my needs for a clean, quiet, well located hotel at a reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to go to Livonia, Michigan. There was a wedding party staying there and they all seemed to be having a great time also.”

• Great room very quiet, excellent location for easy access.
• Had to be buzzed into the lobby at midnight.

“After the disappointment of realizing that I was at the courtyard and not the Marriott. I was very impressed with the hotel and the cleanliness of the room. Great water pressure in the shower, however the TV was fuzzy. King size bed was very comfortable as well.”

• In the middle of the hotel was an outdoor area with gazebo and benches.
• They need a vending area. Construction getting into parking lot.

“I enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor garden area that was set up in the middle of the hotel outside. You can sit and relax under the gazebo or on a bench or rite out side your hotel room. You were able to see the indoor swimming area if you had children. Very nice!”

“Great location, near a lot of things (would stay again, just for that reason). Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Pool area was nice. Overall, it was a good hotel to stay at. I am used to nicer hotels and missed some things about the nicer ones, but it was mainly just a difference in quality.”

• Excellent facilities, including free fast internet. Very polite and helpful staff.
• The quality and selection of the breakfast buffet was poor. After the first day we had breakfast at the Marriott.

“The room was pleasantly decorated and comfortably furnished. The beds were particularly comfortable. The staff was excellent, and very helpful. There was no refrigerator in the room. The computer in the business centre doesn't allow you to copy and paste into e-mail, be careful when using it for word processing. The laptop internet connection in the room is very good. Before writing this review, I called the manager and discussed what I liked and didn't like, and he was very responsive and friendly. Overall, I recommend this hotel for a smooth and pleasant stay, and at a very reasonable price.”

“This hotel is in a great location, with plenty of restaurants nearby along with excellent access to major interstates. The decor was recently updated, and includes free wireless which is a nice advantage over the full-service Marriott next door.”

• The beds were comfortable.
• Personnel light sarcasm and attitude and lack of friendliness.

“The courtyard by Marriott was located immediately adjacent to the Marriott hotel, a separate entity which posed a huge problem for parking. The "market" advertised was nothing more than a vending machined. The restraint seating area advertised was very inaccurate in that they are one and the same and worse located by the front door lobby door allowing for draft and temperature variances. The elevator had serious problems and our stay began on a sour note with the desk clerk mentioning ¿was out or order and somewhat embarrassing given that there were other people within earshot at the front desk. ”

• The interior design of the rooms, warm yet modern, nice!
• The parking situation, the Byzantine path to elevators from lobby, running toilet noise.

“The room itself was great, although the toilet ran all night and seemed to make random and loud-is flushing noises. The lobby was nice, but it was a long and not well marked trek to the elevators, and you could NOT access every room from each elevator. This wasn't well marked! (When it's nearly midnight and you're carrying heavy bags, this is a factor.) Also, part of the lot was being repaved. The alternate parking spaces weren't clearly marked. Also, where you couldn't park (those spaces belonged to other businesses) weren't clearly marked as not available. Area between parking lots and back of hotel was pitch dark and scary! In their defense, I got in late at night, totally exhausted and scatterbrained. I'd also stayed at a nicer, less expensive hotel (Amerisuites, same town) two nights earlier, and they had a lot more free food. So while I might not normally expect free food, I was certainly missing it that night. On the plus side, the Marriott receptionist (blond, 30+) was great, very personable, and the free Internet was VERY easy to use.”

• It had a pool! My kids were in heaven after a long day at the ball park.
• Everything was wonderful.

“We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at the Courtyard. It was clean, had a pool, which thrilled my kids, and my request for clean towels was quickly responded to! What impressed me the most is that upon check in, I had mentioned that we may be needing more blankets for one of my 3 children to sleep on the floor. When I called later that night for towels, after a swim, the gentleman who had checked us in asked if we would also be needing more blankets for the night. I was impressed He remembered me as a customer, not a number.”

• There were no vending machines only an expensive "market" at the front desk.

“Gorgeous rooms. Very recently updated. Very clean. Bedding was extremely comfortable. It reminded me of an upscale hotel. I loved this hotel and will definitely be back!”

• Didn't have a wireless connection.

“Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable! It was conveniently located near restaurants and other things. I would definitely stay at the Courtyard Marriot again if I am every in that area. There was only one complaint about my stay and that was that the hotel didn't have wireless in the rooms. Otherwise is was excellent!”

• First room was not adequate. They immediately corrected the situation.
• Sorry, everything was fine.

“We arrived weary and found they did not have a room reserved to meet our particular needs. They switched us to a room that did meet our needs and never made us feel bad about it. Staff was able to use humor and it made for a pleasant stay.”

• Hotel staff super friendly and rooms were newly remodeled.
• Wish they had expanded cable, Comedy Central, Bravo.

“This is a great hotel. Marriott always meets my expectations in cleanliness and quality. Rooms are newly remodeled with new carpet, beds and covers. The shopping mall next door is small but provides decent food choices and a movie theater. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Located close to interstate, restaurants, hospital, etc.
• Not easily accessible, not as clean as I would have liked.

“The motel was right beside a mall and the interstate, and had several restaurants nearby. However, the directional signage was not very visible until almost upon the entrance. The room was okay, but smelled of smoke. Bedding was quite comfortable. The phone beside the bed did not work properly. Even after reporting this two days in a row, it still was not fixed.”

• Free coffee and internet; rooms were clean. Large bathroom.
• Needed more amenities in bathroom; coffee pot was not clean; could not use courtyard b/c of painting.

“Painting was going on during our stay, so we could not use the courtyard. Hotel should have given some sort of complimentary breakfast to compensate for this inconvenience. The coffee pot in the room was too dirty to use, but fortunately there was free coffee in the lobby. Hotel grounds and interior of hotel were kept up nicely. My room had a strange lay-out and was very dark, but fine otherwise. Bathroom was very institutional and could use some softening up. More amenities--like lotion or shower cap--would also be an improvement.”
