“I am a frequent business traveler, but this night was about a special birthday visit for my 13-yr old daughter and her best friend. For their consummate enjoyment, I booked adjoining rooms. I was still a little apprehensive with them in adjoining room, however, but felt completely reassured and confident that their independence was still coupled with concern for their safety and well-being during the stay by the front desk. She was AWESOME! She completely understood and was respectful of my Mama Bear concerns. Friendly and genuine. I thought perhaps as a Priceline guest I might not experience the 100% top-notch customer service that I actually did! I will not only use Priceline again because of this, I would use the DoubleTree in Novi, MI without hesitation. Both without hesitation! Thank you!”

• Pretty room.
• The carpet was worn. It didn't feel clean. We stayed for 9 days and the tub was not cleaned enough.

“The beds were large and comfortable it had just a throw but there was a comforter in the back (I assume this was because the weather is getting nicer, however Michigan in May gets pretty cool at night. The warm cookies were a plus my daughter loved that! Overall I would stay there again.”

• Front desk person was accommodating.
• Pool was closed which was the reason to stay there for the kids. HVAC system very loud.

“I have stayed at this hotel before because its moderately priced for the niceness and convenience. Kids were very disappointed the pool was closed as it was the primary reason for staying here. There should be some sort of alert about this. Also, the HVAC was so loud I turned it off - then the kids got cold - therefore, not a peaceful sleep.”

“The staff at the Doubletree was very friendly. We were welcomed with warm Choc chip cookies. Very polite, called us to make sure everything was OK with our room. Went out of the way to make sure everything was to our liking. New beds, New TV's. The bed was more comfortable than the one I have at home.”

“It looks like it was a renovated hotel. It was nicely done for the most part. The side doors were old, painted, did not work as smooth as they should, and did not match the quality of the rest of the building. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, very nice. Overall, it was a very nice stay, and I would definitely stay again.”

“I've stayed here before and liked everything about this place that still applies. However, on this visit, from midnight on people were walking the halls, talking loudly, etc. making it impossible to sleep. The hotel needs to step up their security and curtail this sort of thing. All in all, I would stay there again.”

“I was assigned a smoking room after I had called ahead and been assured a non-smoking room. Second room assigned was non-smoking but still a bit Smokey smelling. Air Conditioner woke me up at 3 AM with noise like a jet plane.”

• Easy access to major roads.
• Air conditioner was noisy in one of the two rooms in our party.

“Hotel is clean and well kept. The facility is only two stories high so they do not have elevators. My wife and I along with my elderly parents were given rooms on the second floor even though the hotel appeared less than 25% full. Caring suitcases to the second floor would have been very difficult for my parents if they had been alone. Overall, the experience was very nice.”

“Heather at the front desk remembered me by sight since I stayed there last October when my father passed away. It was the Wyndham at the time and I had a feeling that the Doubletree took it over. It's close to friends and family and I won't stay anywhere else again!”

• The staff was excellent and very accommodating to ensure our stay was comfortable.
• We had a smoking room as there we no NON-smoking rooms available.

“Besides the smoking room the hotel experience was great. The staff did everything they could to make the best of smoking room--they came in and sprayed the room twice to reduce the smoke odor--but after years of smoking in that room it was just too hard to cover up.”

Only complaints were the cleanliness of the pool, and the temperature of the room (it went from stifling and very warm to 50 degrees-literally 50 degrees according to the thermostat.). The passes to Bally, which was located next door, were much appreciated and used each day.”

“Doubletree has taken over the Wyndham Novi and appears to be making changes. The Doubletree cookie crumbled a bit for us when our room didn't function as well as it looked. All in all, the things I write are very minor things, I write this in the spirit of continuous improvement rather then complaint. My husband and I had a lovely time and we were never compelled to pick up the phone and call the desk to complain. It was really just not a big enough deal. But since you ask. Our room looked wonderful with a mound of inviting toss pillows piled on the bed - however we were frustrated with the toiled that wouldn't quite flush and a loud heating and cooling system which was recently installed. Happily for my husband and I the toilet situation was so ridicules that is was comical by the end of the weekend. The housekeeping in the room was unfortunate; the housekeeper may have been new and didn't know the ropes. For example, they have an in room coffee maker which was nice. If you're there for two nights and use one cup, the housekeeping team will not refresh the service. This means that you and your spouse will not both have cups the next day. Not a big deal, just wondering why they bother with the expense of the in-room set up. Housekeeping also left the used paper cold coffee cup with an inch of coffee in the bathroom. Maybe I was supposed to wash it out? Gosh, I hadn't thought about that. Perhaps it's one of those green programs? If your cup is on the floor, wash it on the counter - use it again! I'll get it right next time! I did notice that the shower curtain was new. Bravo! There is nothing worse then mildew in the shower curtain. I stay in many hotels as a traveler and the best practice I have seen is teams of two cleaning rooms. Our housekeeper was all alone and I think she had the whole wing. it was a huge job. bless her heart, she did pretty darn good.”
