“This hotel has atmosphere, location and cleanliness. The staff is friendly and helpful. The view of the city was lovely. The trolley took us everywhere. Gatlinburg offers unique gifts for hard to shop for people on your list. We are planning to take off on a before Christmas getaway again next year.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 14, 2006 by

“The Park Vista hotel is beautiful, very clean, and in excellent condition for an "older" hotel. The housekeeping service is EXCELLENT, the pool is very nice, and the trolley service to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg is wonderful. However, if you want to stay at a hotel with great customer service, this is NOT the place to stay. Immediately upon arrival, the front desk staff is SLOW and RUDE! I have never seen any hotel staff with such HORRIBLE hospitality training!! The restaurant staff was the same way. It took 10 minutes to get SEATED for breakfast!! Food was OK but overpriced for what you got. Rooms are clean and in great condition though. DO NOT EXPECT GOOD SERVICE HERE. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 1, 2005 by

“Lovely setting just a couple of blocks away from the madness of downtown Gatlinburg. Clean and nicely appointed but a serious lack of luggage carts for a 15 story tower. Discourteous bell staff and only one on duty (Saturday evening or Sunday morning).” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.Dec 1, 2005 by

“This hotel met my expectations. It is very clean and well kept. The bedding is not very comfortable, but not many hotel bedding is. Would definitely stay there again.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 29, 2005 by

“Both stays have been great. All the amenities are 1st class. The large indoor pool is great for kids and adults. The restaurant offered a menu anyone could enjoy. The views have to be the best in Gatlinburg, one side is the mountains and the other looks down on the city or up in the mountains. Staff are very friendly and helpful.” Nov 29, 2005 by
Dan from Carlisle, KY
“This hotel was probably first rate when first built, but time has taken it's tale. I would not stay here on my first trip to this area, but rather for a second time around. The driveway is windy and steep, probably impossible in bad weather.” Nov 29, 2005 by
Amanda from Connellys Springs, NC
“This hotel was very nice and clean. I felt it was a little too far off the main road for me and my husband. We would prefer to stay closer so we can walk everywhere. With this hotel you had to drive and park to get to the attractions. Other than that it was great.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 28, 2005 by

“The hotel was pretty inside with a good view from the balcony. The elevator was to slow, we found we were waiting 10-15 minutes every time we used it. The food at the hotel restaurant was good, not great, and it was overpriced.” Oct 26, 2005 by
Anna from Owensboro, KY

“The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. My children loved the pool area and the Club Kids. The hotel restaurant had a great breakfast buffet at a very reasonable price. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 20, 2005 by

“This hotel had the feel of a big city hotel in a small city setting. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The view was spectacular. It was nice to have a trolley pick up right in front of the hotel. My family and I would stay there anytime we are in Gatlinburg.” Aug 15, 2005 by
Debbie from Independence, KY
“The hotel had many amenities to offer. We just didn't have enough time to get aquatinted with all of them. They made my family feel welcome. And that is true PR.” Jul 23, 2005 by
Becky from Chatsworth, GA
“The location was great and the trolley into town was 25 cents a person. Nice kiddie pool and playground for the kids. The restaurant had a woderful breakfast buffet, but was a little pricey for dinner. The hotel sfaff was friendly. The restrooms in the pool areas could use some updating. Enjoyed the beautiful mountain views from our room.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 21, 2005 by

“Great location. Can't get any closer to the Smokey Mountains. Plus every room has a vew. It's set a bit above the main drag in GAtlinburg so you have a sense of peace which is what you want at a gateway to a National Park....not the mass commercialism that exists in the main street below the hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 20, 2005 by

“The pool is cool, the interior is something to see, and the view is perfect. Just above all the sites and shops of Gatlinburg - good location” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 20, 2005 by

“Located in the smoky mountains of east Tennessee, this hotel has it all, a friendly staff, an indoor pool, a full-servive restaurant and landscaped grounds overlooking the town of Gatlinberg.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 18, 2005 by

“Would have been nice if it had a veranda on the back side of the hotel overlooking Gatlinburg” Jun 18, 2005 by
Judy from Winneconne, WI
“Rooms are nice and large with a fantastic view of the mountains. Staff is very friendly and helpful.” Jun 7, 2005 by
Tim from Youngsville, NC
“Our overall rating is excellent even with the construction problems, we did not use the valets or Bellmen, but were impressed by the Hotels staff with the exception of the restaurant, which had slow service. This we believed to be the result of not enough servers. We were however pleased with food and did leave a tip.” Jun 5, 2005 by
Fred from Jeffersonville, IN
“Excellent view of mountains. Wonderful room with panaramic view. Exceptionally quiet in rooms. Resturants offered excellent food, wide variety, and resonable prices -- prices competitive with other resturants in area. Definitly want to return to this hotel.” May 31, 2005 by
Lorrie from Glasgow, KY
“The Park Vista Resort Hotel is located near downtown Gatlinburg and has trolley service to downtown. I think having the word resort in its title is misleading. Our room was clean, the restaurant had good food, and the groundas are beautifully done. It does not look like the website. It's quite old and is currently being renovated.” May 15, 2005 by
Debby from Grand Blanc, MI
“Everything was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, although one staff person did tend to go on and on about her personal life which was not professional at all. Other than the lack of free wireless internet service, I have no complaints.” Apr 28, 2005 by
Sidney from Newton, NC
“Great place!” Apr 26, 2005 by

“This hotel was very clean, nice location, very nice view. I was very impressed with the price and the quality of the hotel. I would love to stay there again. I feel I got a GREAT deal.” Apr 19, 2005 by
J S. from Kingsport, TN
“Park Vista was a good hotel overall, needs some work to make it wonderful. Any place one travels there is never anything perfect though and I take that into account. Our room had a jacuzzi tub but the stopper would not work.” Sep 14, 2004 by
Marcella K. from Raytown, MO “The Park Vista Hotel was a great hotel. The staff was very friendly. Even when we had the do not disturb sign on the door, housekeeping always called to see if we needed anything. Pool area is great. Balcony and the view from room is great. I noticed they are also having new rug installed. Awesome hotel.” Sep 9, 2004 by
Theresa D. from Mooresville “The room was not as clean as expected; the coffee maker had coffee under it (wet) that leaked out onto the counter before we got there. The gentleman at the info desk in the lobby was extra nice and helpful, though.” Sep 9, 2004 by
Sarah E. from Macon “When arriving at the park vista the desk told us that the park vista had been overbooked due to overbooking by the internet provider. The park vista hotel seemed very nice and we were a little disappointed we were not able to stay there, however we were provided a room down the street at the gray stone hotel and the park vista took care of the charges. The desk clerk at the park vista was very nice and I would definitely check into staying there at another time. We ended up staying at the Gray stone Inn which was satisfactory since park vista covered the charges.” Sep 9, 2004 by
Melissa H. from Lima “I really liked how all I had to do is go to the front desk and tell them my name that my room was under. Then I just signed a paper and away to our rooms we went. Everything about the hotel was great. The people was nice and the service was good too. The view from the hotel was wonderful.” Hotel Representatives:
