“The hotel was very nice, it had two pools, located quite close to downtown Gatlinburg. The hotel room was very spacious, bathroom clean and spacious.” Jul 26, 2009 by
Gene from Hillsboro,AL
“This was an outstanding place to stay. Very pleasant.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Adam from Columbia, SC
“It was new clean and very family friendly. I would have to say it is the best hotel. Their is not much of a view but the tram stops there and it has mini golf in front of it. It is next to a pancake house to. Best family hotel.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Brandy from Greenwood, IN

“Recommended for those who know how to city park their cars.” May 22, 2008 by
Joe from Hermitage, TN
“Overall, I would say that it was a great place to stay. Courteous staff, clean rooms, and free internet.” May 8, 2008 by
Heidi from Tampa, FL
“Clean, comfortable, modern and located just as you enter Gatlinburg from pigeon forge, the Marriott Fairview inn is a terrific place to get a good night's sleep after a day on the smoky mountains. The continental breakfast goes a bit further than typical expectations, with make-your-own waffles and microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. If there is a drawback, it's that the hotel isn't really walking distance to the heart of Gatlinburg and its shopping and restaurants. However, a trolley does visit regularly to take guests on the short drive Downtown.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Stephanie from Westerville, OH
“The staff were super friendly, the location was great. It's the first hotel inside Gatlinburg when coming from Pigeon Forge; it's right next to one of the nicer (if not the nicest) putt-putt spots and a new pancake restaurant (opening soon), and a new small market and a gas station (very convenient); the parking is amazingly easy (not true of a lot of Gatlinburg hotels); there is a trolley stop right in the parking lot. The pools were perfect for kids, and the free breakfast (though not that tasty) was really convenient.” Mar 12, 2008 by
Theresa from Crestwood, KY
“The hotel is well located to the area, clean and usually quiet, however the mattress on the bed was like sleeping on hard concrete.” Jan 9, 2008 by
James from Lexington, KY
“This was a great hotel for the price. I thought the room and staff was great, but the walls were too thin. My wife and I had problems sleeping since we could hear everything our neighbors were saying. It would have been an excellent experience other than the noise level.” Sep 15, 2007 by
Arshad from Hartford, CT
“Best room and good service.” Aug 31, 2007 by
Newton from Marietta, GA
“Great place to stay and very convenient.” Jul 17, 2007 by
Rhonda from Jonesburg, MO
“This was really a good hotel. The room smelled like it had a dead mouse and they tried to cover it up with air freshener. They didn't have any rooms left to move us to. The hotel was clean and a good place to stay other than the smell. I would try them again. The water slide was great; my son really loved that part.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 16, 2007 by

“Hotel staff was friendly.” Jul 6, 2007 by
Lynn from Hendersonville, TN
“The hotel was generally nice enough. She attempted to sell as a $4.95 incidental insurance rider. Upon arriving in our room we noticed that the bed skirt was severely torn and made getting in and out of the bed dangerous. The front staff did not seem to care. The location was excellent, but the price should have been better for the condition of the room. The bathroom was very clean, but the carpeting throughout the hotel could have been better.” Jun 19, 2007 by
Wayne from San Antonio, TX
“Overall a great hotel and good accommodations. Please check to see that internet connections are working in all rooms. It is such a waste of time to spend an hours trying to get online, then realize it is just not working! Then we had to move all of our luggage to another room, then the staff got upset with us when we had not vacated our former room soon enough!” May 22, 2007 by
Char from Knoxville, TN
“Clean nice. If not satisfied talk to front desk. They fixed problems quickly and pleasantly.” Apr 26, 2007 by
Patti from Marietta, GA
“The room was so small, we were crawling on the furniture to get around each other, and there were only 4 of us! It was nicely decorated, though. The card keys repeatedly didn't work, so we had to go back down to the front desk to have them "reset" several times. That was very annoying. The view was surprisingly wonderful, nestled next to a quaint stream in a little valley, and tucked away so sweetly with the great Smokey mountains as a beautiful backdrop. That was very pleasant. The kids loved the outdoor pool, waterslide and beach entry, although it was freezing cold water. There was a mini golf course in front of the hotel that the kids also loved. The drive to pigeon forge (and into Gatlinburg) was short, so it was very centrally located, with a trolley that visited occasionally. It was clean, except for the mold and scum in the indoor pool/whirlpool area. That didn't keep us from enjoying the warm water, though, and meeting other guests with kids. We all agreed it was an overpriced hotel, and we weren't sure we'd spend the money to do it again.” Apr 26, 2007 by

“There was only one courteous staff member out of the 4 that we dealt with. He found a way to upgrade us (for a $50 fee) so our 2 children could have a bed to sleep in! Everyone else was rude and flippant. Not good customer service at all! The pool and whirlpool were wonderfully warm, however, dirty and moldy in places. “This hotel is one of the nicer hotels in Gatlinburg. It is not located right in the middle of town, so it is not as congested. I preferred this location over the other Fairfield property in Gatlinburg for the location and it was built in 2002.” Apr 12, 2007 by
John from Mount Carmel, TN
“Hotel was clean, staff were very friendly. Check In was easy. Rooms were orderly. Location of the hotel was a plus.” Mar 8, 2007 by
Suzann from Lexington, KY
“Good 2 stars hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable. Free breakfast above average.” Oct 30, 2006 by
Beth from Ringgold, GA
“This hotel was great; I got a GREAT price and really enjoyed our stay. It was our first time away from home with out 9 month old son and we all had a great time. The only suggestions that I have is that rooms would include a microwave and a refrigerator that we be more family friendly when traveling with children who still take bottles.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 26, 2006 by

“The hotel is very clean, staff is very friendly, rooms and bathrooms are clean and location is great! We had a very good time and would stay there again....beds are too soft for my family's taste...but it was ok. Overall, it was a great place to stay.” Apr 18, 2006 by
Jon from Batesville, IN
“Decent hotel, good value. Exactly what I expect from a Marriott property. Nothing fancy, but you know what you're getting.” Mar 16, 2006 by

“Not a very good location.” Feb 25, 2006 by

“Convenient location right inside Gatlinburg.” Dec 30, 2005 by

“This is a nice hotel for Gatlinburg. I liked its location and its cleanliness. The front desk staff was a little less than competent, but completely what I expected from a 2 star hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
