• The room was attractive, with very comfortable beds.
• Everything was great.

“We were welcomed by very friendly staff at the hotel, and given a lovely room. The bed was very nice, and the amenities in the room were everything you would like in a 3 star room. The breakfast in their dining room was good too.”

• The location was wonderful.
• The walls were so thin we could hear our neighbors sneeze. Plus TV reception was only on certain channels and they said it was the installer's fault.

“Location was great; rooms were on the 'low end' side. There was no microwave nor refrigerator which was inconvenient.”

• The front desk staff was incredibly friendly. We also enjoyed to closeness to downtown Ann Arbor.

“This is a friendly hotel with a great location. It is close to the interstate and close to the U of Michigan campus. The rooms were small but very clean. The hotel staff was extremely friendly.”

“Very pleasantly surprised about how nice the room was, it had an indoor/outdoor pool(didn't have time to use) a beauty shop if you needed it but overall staff were great. Bed was very comfy! Would definitley stay there again- and may if duaghter goes to U Of M.k”

• The staff was polite and helpful. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. The towels were very nice.
• Most hotels offer free coffee and we did not see any. The exercise equipment was not working so my daughter could not work out.

“I would recommend this hotel as it was clean, comfortable, the staff was polite and helpful. The swimming pool was nice, warm and relaxing.”

“Overall ambiance a bit shabby and down at the heels. Corridor near our room had room service trays with dirty dishes for two days before they were removed. Trash can near entry from parking lot overflowed with garbage.”

• Super small bathroom, WiFi issues.

“Overall, it was an average stay. The room and hotel were very clean and the front desk attendant was very helpful. The drawbacks were no continental breakfast, the bathroom was the smallest that I have ever seen in a hotel room. I also had a very hard time connecting my laptop to the internet. After 2 hours on the phone with the help desk, I finally got it to work. I think that they needed to reset their routers, which could have been done when I originally called down to the desk. The pay-per-view was not working until the second night of our stay.”

• Close to campus/downtown life.
• Vvending options.

“The vending machine didn't accept dollars. No problem, there is a coin machine right next to it. However, that coin machine is out of order. The lady at the desk tells us there is one in the arcade after we tell her it's out of order. We head in there and get 3 dollars worth of quarters. Then we head back to the vending machine to find out that the maximum amount of change it accepts is one quarter. That was pretty frustrating especially since the hotel restaurant was closed and we had no way of getting food inside that building! Unacceptable in my opinion!”

• Comfortable bed, quiet room, good heating system.
• Extremely small bathroom.

“The hotel is very comfortable on the inside, but is unsightly on the outside. Located in an ugly strip-mall parking lot about 50 yards from Highway 23. But our room was quiet, comfortable, and pleasant. Also, there's no free breakfast, and the in-room coffee set up is, like, Folger's quality. The area is boring office park.”

“The rooms have been recently re-modeled and include a flat screen TV. The hotel is large and clean. The friendliness of the staff exceeded my expectations. I will certainly stay here again.”

“Great location-city bus shuttle to the big house for $2 roundtrip. Tailgated in the parking lot, they even had picnic tables. Great sports bar and restaurant. Very friendly staff and very upscale neighborhood. One tenth of a mile off freeway.”

• The room was very small and worn-chipped paint, worn carpeting, older (and barely working) air conditioner and refrigerator.

• Was conveniently located to hwy. Public areas were pretty clean.
• They advertise "kids eat free". But, they did not honor this.

“A pamphlet in our room states "kids eat free". So, we went to breakfast at this hotel. And we were charged for our 4 year old and 8 yr old. So we paid $26 plus tax and tip for a less than high quality breakfast. And, being charged for the breakfast was salt in my wounds so to speak.”

• The bed was comfortable.
• The location was not very close to anything in Ann Arbor (although close to the interstate). It was also older.

“This hotel was not at the quality of most 3-star hotels I have stayed at. It was old and out-dated for the most part. It was also very spread out so getting to our room was always difficult. I especially did not like the location. My experience was acceptable, but not compared to other hotels.”

• The tub gurgled all night and was full of back up grime in the AM.

“Even though the tub backed up in the night, the staff was extremely attentive and took care of the situation immediately. The manager called shortly afterwards to see if it was fixed satisfactorily. This is a good thing.”
