• It was moderately priced for the aspects.
• The staff blocked part of the drive every day and the access was not easy - to and from the entrance in addition to exiting the location.

“The location is acceptable and for the value not horrible, however I would not give it more than 2.5 and the staff seems to put themselves ahead of the residents. There was at least one car parked in the portico area each morning/afternoon [the same cars] - an inquiry confirmed that it was owned by staff? I did not make a complaint but noted that this is not a location I will want to stay again at the same price.”

• I liked the location, and that it was newer and in good taste and repair.
• The pool is right off the front desk in full view on anyone entering or exiting the hotel. That is why we did not use it.

“All in all we were very pleased with the hotel accommodations. When we arrived we were greeted warmly. However, we noticed that the pool, although beautiful, was located in close proximity to the front desk. Upon entering & exiting all guests, and visitors are able to see straight into the pool area - not very romantic. Also, housekeeping did not freshen our room the next day (make beds, etc). When we called the front desk that night, they were extremely helpful and wanted to help however they could. It would not include the continental breakfast. Just a little disappointing. All in all however, we had a nice stay.”

• All around excellent. Clean, friendly,location and comfort.

“This hotel is excellent in everyway for any traveler. We have been to this hotel several times and we highly recommend it. It meets all of our needs and then some. It's clean, all staff is friendly-Mr. Allen is wonderful, comfortable, safe and the location is the best in the area. We always have a wonderful exeperience at this hotel and look forward to staying again soon.”

• Breakfast buffet and common areas were very nice.
• Theft.

“The overall experience started out nice. The hotel was fairly attractive and clean. The rooms were a little cramped but I didn't mind considering the other positive features of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, so much that I was almost going to send a letter raving about them to the management. I changed my mind when I realized that some of my belongings had been stolen and they could cost thousands to replace. I don't normally travel with valuables but in this case they were educational CD's related to my profession so I assumed they would not be valuable to someone else, I am guessing the thief mistook them for music CD's since they were in a standard CD case. I would not recommend this hotel because of the theft and the fact that there are no safes in the rooms.”

• The staff was friendly and I was able to get tea/coffee at any time.
• No outdoor pool.

“Overall the room was comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly. There is a small indoor pool and fitness room. We were visiting family in the area, so had leisure time during the day, an outdoor pool would have been nice. A good choice for a business traveler.”

• The staff was very friendly; remembered my name the whole stay.
• The carpet and bedding in the room could have been nicer. Bathroom could use an upgrade.

“I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The gentleman that checked me in remembered my name throughout my stay and was very helpful when I locked myself out of my room. Also, on Wednesday night, there was a manager's reception with free Italian food, beer, and wine in the lobby. It was a very nice personal touch. I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on staying here again.”

• There was a person on desk that answered phones and did not know her way around so it was hard to find them at first.

“I enjoy this type of hotel, but it did not have free continental breakfast, which made it a bit harder for us to enjoy the morning together comfortably.”

• I was entertained with the evening person at the hotel check in, very funny!
• The price of the breakfast was a little high.

• The hotel was convenient to a lot of restaurants and shopping.
• This is not one of the nicer Courtyard's I've stayed in.

“This is a good hotel, but it's older than a lot of the Courtyards out there. The rooms are clean and it has a nice lobby, but it's on the lower end of the spectrum as far as Courtyard's go.”

“The hotel was nice. The room had a funny smell every time we entered, but we think it was a room deodorizer. We got used to it very quickly once in the room. My husband really liked the fitness room, while my daughter enjoyed the pool.”

• The location had a variety of dining choices within walking distance, and was on a quiet street.
• Breakfast was an additional charge.

“This hotel was adequately rated at 2 1/2 stars. It is an older facility, but well kept and in a very accessible, yet quiet location. The location was what I liked the most. We walked to dinner, and had a variety of restaurant choices for our meals. The hotel's location had easy access to the interstate. Our room was very clean.”

• Convenience to venue we were attending.
• Front desk staff not overly friendly.

“Hotel was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. What I would expect from a Marriott. The staff when we checked in was nice and friendly, but when we returned from dinner, there was a different person at the desk. We needed extra towels and asked for extra sheets. The attendant didnt want to give us sheets, wanted to know what they were for. Not that it was any of her business, but we were traveling to a conference and sharing rooms, and one of the ladies didnt like sharing the bed and wanted her own sheets. We explained this to her and she kind of roller her eyes and reluctantly gave them to us. I dont hold that against the hotel though, only the lady. She was too busy visiting with her family in the lobby. It appeared her daughter, or granddaughter was there with several other ladies and a new born baby. We hurried back to our room, as not to disturb the family reunion, as it was made obvious to us we were intruding.”

• The room smelled of smoke.

“This hotel was a good hotel to stay in even though the room had the smell of remnant smoke. It was a beautiful hotel and the few staff we met was very kind. The beds were comfortable, but the lighting was dim especially in the bathroom. They were doing road work on the main road to the hotel and we had to detour to find it which was a little aggravating, but overall it was a nice stay and we would stay there again.”

“The hotel was convenient to 85 and our location and there were great restaurants within walking distance. The inside pool was nice, although it was closed our first day there and the spa did not work. There is no place there to get a drink at the hotel. ”

“I was immediately impressed with how my reservation was completely no hassle. I also appreciated that I wasn't required to leave a credit card for incidentals. Every time we arrived or left the hotel we were greeted with a smile and a kind word. The indoor pool was a huge hit with my kids. Loved the nice thick towels I¿m a huge fan. I've never been disappointed and will definitely be using you guys again and again. Thanks.”

• It is close to Lake Lanier only one exit down off I 85.They have a computer located in the hall near the gym to use which we used to check emails.
• Hard to find the first time going there, off the main road and no sign.

• We did like the upgraded bedding - the beds were very comfortable.
• maid service was not great - no coffee refills; no clean glasses; late room cleanup.

• 5 star staff go above and beyond expectations. Very clean hotel room.
• Nothing. The management even serves free wine and beer on Wednesday nights.

“Great hotel. Everything looks brand new. Management and staff are the best you'll find anywhere. In fact out of all the traveling I do with my business, this has been among the best experiences of my travels. HUGE rooms, fast Internet Outback restaurant is just across the street. Nice quiet location.”

• Superior.
• To leave the hotel you must cross too much traffic. Bit dangerous.

“A great spot for business travel, for those areas near Duluth/Gwinett County Ga. A short jog to the Convention Center and easy access to Discover Mills and mall of Georgia.”
