“This is a very nice Downtown hotel. The rooms decor is gorgeous. There are signs that this is an older property, but the remodel of the rooms helps make this a comfortable stay.”

• Hotel was very clean.
• Parking was terrible. The valets lost total control while parking vehicles.

“Hotel was great but it in the middle of downtown Knoxville. They charge $14 a day for valet parking and 10$ a day if you park yourself. Really ridiculous, since you probably drive 50 yards to park. Outside of the parking situation my overall stay was fantastic.”

“Asked to move my car at 7 am and given 30 minutes to do so. Too many spots in the hotel parking lot are designated not for use. I missed the sign and parked in one of those spots. Hotel guests should have preferential treatment, we are paying guests.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the view was good.
• It was a little difficult to park because of the crowd.

• Great view of the city, room was very spacious, and the food was delicious.
• I do not think you should pay for parking in the garage if you are staying at the Hilton.

“Rooms are very spacious, and offer a great view of the city. The central downtown location with access to the convention center makes this Hilton a plus for whatever desire you may have while in this city. The food is delicious, the lounge is very relaxing. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Knoxville.”

• The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable. I really liked the fireplace in the lobby.
• We could have used a map of the area to negotiate around the one way streets.

“We had a great experience. The young men that greeted us at the door were friendly and helpful as were the people working at check in. We loved being on the 16th floor with a great view over the city. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends.”

• The quality and location were both beneficial to us.
• The parking garage elevators did not work.

“Great hotel, convenient to Downtown Knoxville and the University of Tennessee campus. The lobby is extremely cold in winter due to the design, so wear a coat downstairs! The Starbucks coffee shop in the lobby was a plus. Rooms were comfortable and adequately furnished. Hallways were quiet despite the number of young children staying there with family. Hotel restaurant was a little pricey.”

• I am Parisian and found the restaurant "Marty's Bistro" to be world class!
• Could have been closer to attractions/shopping.

“We stayed at this hotel during our drive form Boston, MA to Austin, TX. It felt like a night in a spa. The parking felt safe for our Mercedes, the room was much nicer than expected, the shower had great water pressure and amenities, and the internet was free. A big highlight was "Marty's Bistro", the main restaurant in the lobby: quiet, refined, yet affordable dining which met the expectations of this fussy Parisian reviewer. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. We had a great stay.”

“I would not stay there again. It does not meet standards of many other Hiltons at which Ive stayed. At most it's a two star hotel and that's stretching it. A Comfort Inn or Hampton Inn type hotel would have been much more preferable.”

“We went to Knoxville for the UT game. The hotel was very close to the stadium. We needed to buy one more ticket and there was a place to buy it in the hotel at a very reasonable price. The parking was only $8.00 a day. (Less than parking is anywhere near to campus on game day.) The room was large with a desk and a pull out sofa. We had a large comfortable bed and a pull out sofa for our kids. We will definitely stay there again.”

• Parking is a hassle if you decline the valet service.

“I definitely think the hotel was well worth the price and met or exceeded most of my expectations. The only downside is that parking is an extra fee (even without valet) and I didn't see that advertised until I checked in. Overall, though, I would gladly stay here many more times.”

• When I checked out, there was an unhappy customer who did not get her wake up call and missed her meeting.

“The hotel was in a good location for walking around the downtown area. The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. The hotel could use some updating. The air conditioner kept making clicking noises and when you are half asleep, it sounds as if someone is trying to come into the room. The key cards didn't work, so I had to lug my bags back to the front desk and they gave me 2 new cards. Only 1 of the new cards would open the room door. My husband took it back to the desk and once again was issued new cards. They didn't work either and we ended up with only 1 card that worked during our visit.”

“Nice overall hotel. Good location. Near downtown and the highway. Lobby area was nice. We checked in late at night and the employee keyed our keys wrong. I had to return to the lobby with 2 kids and a grouchy husband to get it fixed. The room only had one bed with a pullout, even though the employee knew that we were a family of four. Then, there were to linens for the pullout bed. We had to call and a security guard brought them up. Checkout was easy. Valet cost is $12/day.”

“The room was nice, but it was deodorized very heavily, to the point where you could barely breathe. Your sinuses got stuffed up and irritated and you couldn't sleep. That was my primary problem with the hotel. The odor in my room was truly terrible. Staff was friendly except for the front desk person. Okay wine selection in the bar, could be improved. Not everyone wants beer. Bar and restaurant were definitely not up to snuff in terms of furniture, atmosphere, etc. For the price, I don't feel I got my money's worth.”
