“Great hotel, however, it is in a park that costs $8 to enter so that is inconvenient. Pub was closed, but I hear that that is a common problem for this site.”

• Enjoyed the gym and indoor pool.
• Not very kid friendly pool was filthy room was very small.

“The in door pool was very small and over crowded. The bottom of the pool was so filthy you could see peoples foot prints in it. There were wine glasses with wine left in them all over the place. People left dirty wet towels all over and at 1am they were still there. I was never offered Valet parking and no one offered to help me with my bags. They were having a large event of some kind going on. I came with my 5 year old daughter. The golf course is close by to the hotel but watch out for flying golf balls. My truck came very close to being hit. There was black stuff all over my bed spread and the shower curtain. The comforter was also ripped all the way across at the bottom. When I requested another blanket they brought me a scratchy paper thin blanket that had also been torn a few times. The balcony overlooked the lake and was very nice. I liked the hotel lobby and the Starbucks. But I feel they are way over priced for the service I got.”

• Best service in years and couldn't be better located in respect to destination.
• I liked everything about this hotel.

“The best Marriott property in my opinion in the 4 star categories. Its located on the foothills of stone mountain, literally, and also is on the tip of a sort of peninsula surrounded by beautiful lake and you wake up to look at the lake and the wilderness with the giant stone tm. Looming over as if it was in your backyard. The hotel offers complementary valet (which I don't get it as they could easily charge for it and absolutely no one would complain) and have very good service all around from everyone we came across. They even have their own mini Starbucks right in the lobby for your morning latte and bagel. Would get back here in a heartbeat.”

• I loved everything about this hotel. Our Thanksgiving weekend was everything we wanted it to be.
• We had a room on the bottom floor and we did have some bugs come in the room but it was taken care of promptly.

• Hard to find in the park. The sign was covered up.

“This was a nice hotel and beautiful park. However, we did not know that Stone Mt. was a Confederate shrine and were deeply offended by the historical presentations.”

• It's a beautiful location and the rooms are very nice.
• Internet access was $14.95 per night. Outrageous!

“This hotel has beautiful grounds, and the lobby is spectacular. Though it's mainly a convention center, it is fine for a solo business trip. The rooms and bed were very nice and the staff was courteous and friendly. The only 2 problems that I had were that when first entering the park I had to pay an $8.00 entry fee. Once I got to the hotel, they gave me a car pass so I could enter the park for free. Also, the cost to access the internet was $14.95 per night!”

“The Evergreen is an excellent place to stay for business or for a family outing. It is incredibly convenient for the kids. There is an indoor an outdoor pool. The rooms are very comfortable. Overall it is excellent.”

• Surprisingly, the sheets had fuzz balls & were a little uncomfortable.

“The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our stay immensely; however, I was disappointed in the quality of the sheets. I asked the housekeeper to change the bed linens and although the second set was better, they still had fuzz balls.”

• The cleaning maid could have been more diligent about rearranging the beds.

“The hotel was very nice. We might go back. But we did ask for a king-size bed and ended up with 2 double beds for our anniversary and the hotel staff could not get us into a different room! So we were very unsatisfied with that. The food in the hotel restaurant was good but the service was just awful!”

“It is a very relaxing, enjoyable location. The breakfast buffet, while a tad pricey is the only thing I would recommend from their restaurant. The sandwiches and entrees are overpriced, especially for the quality. Paying $16/day for internet access is outrageous. You also have to pay $8 park entry as it is located inside Stone Mountain Park. However, the rest of the experience makes up for these few negatives.”

• Food prices were a bit high for families with small children.

• Great location while visiting stone mtn park. Comfortable beds & rooms.
• Front desk and lobby were under staffed. Front desk associates were short and a little rude.

“There is a shortage of associates and poorly trained in customer service. (same person checked us in, unloaded our car and was about to take our bags to our room when someone else walked in the front door directing people at the laser show over his radio). Just needs larger and better trained staff.”

• The location was exactly what we wanted. The hotel exceeded all of our expectations.
• It did not offer free internet service.

“The hotel is located inside of Stone Mountain park. I felt our family was extremely safe here. Our room faced the water which we loved. The restaurants are pricey, but most hotel restaurants are nowadays. I was thrilled with our stay and would love to go back.”

“I would recommend this hotel for a great close to Atlanta with a park like feel vacation. You can reach the city quickly for events but the park is secluded and beautiful with a lot of attractions for adults and kids. Hotel is wonderful.”

“The Evergreen Conference Center is in a beautiful setting within Stone Mountain Park. There are lots of activities to keep a family busy for several days within the park and at the hotel. The rooms and common areas of the hotel are clean and well maintained. Everyone we met on the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.”

• You do have to drive to all other areas around the park.

“The parking was convenient. The pools were great. We enjoyed the seafood buffet on Friday night. Spa amenities were available, but we did not utilize the spa offerings on this trip. We would be happy to return to this hotel.”

“Let me begin by saying that we are generally very picky hotel guests. We don't necessarily have expensive tastes, but we expect certain levels of quality for our money. The location is only a short distance from Atlanta, in the beautiful Stone Mountain Park. The hotel itself is beautiful, with patterned hardwood floors and a fireplace in the lobby and a buffet restaurant overlooking the lake. Every room has a balcony. The outdoor pool area is gorgeous, with a good-sized hot tub. The indoor pool area would be nice for laps and has a small hot tub also. The fitness area had a good selection of equipment. The staff were all friendly and attentive. There's a Starbucks cafe tucked away in the lobby. The room was very nice, with soft linens, a down comforter, comfortable beds, and tasteful woodsy decor. The bathroom had a granite countertop and was very clean and well lit. The only downsides were the $9.95 charge for (non-wireless) internet and the $8.00 charge per car for park entrance. At least they provided the cables, which is more than some hotels. Overall, my husband and I agreed this was the best hotel we've ever stayed at from a value standpoint. We plan to return in the summer to fully explore the park and take advantage of the golf courses and spa.”

• We loved having pool, restaurant, & spa. Beds were so comfy!

“Check-in was quick. Although only smoking room available, the room was clean-smelling. Staff was very courteous. Room has a small fridge, which was a nice surprise. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. With the room-darkening curtains, we slept late every day! The toilet would not flush, but the staff quickly and efficiently took care of it and even left a kind note for us to apologize for inconvenience. The onsite spa was nice as was the indoor and outdoor pools. The lunch buffet was very nice and reasonably priced for the quality of food and service offered. The gift shop was convenient and the cashier was full of information about local attractions. We never had the chance to enjoy the Starbucks, but it provided great aromas in the lobby. Express check-out was quick and easy. Overall, our experience there was wonderful and we'll likely go back.”

• It was a beautiful facility and they offered transportation throughout the park
• This hotel had no entertainment, no poolside waitstaff and when you ordered food it was a 45 min wait.

“I was disappointed in the overall amenities of this resort. Some of the staff could not answer specific questions about locations in the park. We waited 45min for our food at the poolside, and for room service food. The quality of food on both occasions was disappointing.”

• Trees have grown up and obstructed the lakeside view of many rooms that supposedly have a lakeside view
