“We read all the reviews about this hotel and people said it was dirty, in a bad neighborhood and not close to any restaurants. The neighborhood wasn't perfect but we felt safe and the hotel was neat and clean. Our room was very clean and it appears that our bathroom had been recently done. The staff was extremely friendly and brought us whatever we needed! All the chain restaurants are only 2 exits away on the highway and the drive is only a 10 minute drive. The hotel staff has a list of all the restaurants and attractions at the front desk with detailed directions. The pool is the best feature of the hotel and our 2 year old loved swimming in the pool and we loved the hot tub. The negative reviews we read were completely wrong!”

“We would have rated this hotel at or about 2.5 stars until we walked into the bathroom. The shower curtain had mold on it. If checking the shower curtain for mold isn't on the housekeeping checklist it should be added.”

• Location.
• Kids running in halls, noisy.

“Our room faced the pool and was very noisy until the pool closed at 11. Then everything was fine and we slept well. However it certainly not the 3 star hotel we expected in the room or common areas. I'm sure it would be fun for families with young children, but not for a couple hoping for a quiet romantic get away.”

• Good deal for the Priceline price.
• Air contitioner in our room was on full and it was still cooler in the hall.

“As others have said, not the greatest part of town, but we felt safe. Room was on second floor overlooking pool. Even with the heat and humidity of the pool, the hall was still cooler than our room. Maintenance came quickly to try and fix it, and brought a huge fan. The fan made it bearable, until we stepped out into the cool hall the next morning. Plus, the noise from the fan drowned out the noise from the pool. Bed was comfortable, that was most important.”

“Older facility, but very well kept. Our room was spacious, clean, and we enjoyed it. Our room was on the side of the expressway and we had some noise there, but there is no help for that.”

• Location to my destination.
• Location seemed to be in a seedy area of the city.

“Clean rooms, shabby front desk staff, safety hazard based on the local gas stations closing the doors to the public after 10PM. I was not impressed with the number of seedy establishments close by.”

• Nice and clean on inside.
• Bad location.

“The hotel was clean and nice on the inside; however, the actual location is not good. There is a strip club nearby along with pawn shops and other such businesses. There were a ton of teen agers at the hotel until very late at night running up and down halls. I do not think that they were actually even staying at the hotel just goofing around.”

• I liked all the things it had for the kids to do. (Ppool, lots of video games, pool table, pingpong table, air hockey).
• I wish our room would have had a refrigerator and a microwave.

• The dining area for breakfast was nice and with service.
• The breakfast food choice on the continental was not great.

“The hotel was clean and convient. I was in town for the NCAA tournament. Just outside of downtown not far. Fairly quiet. Would stay again.”

• Easy access to highway and downtown areas.
• Noise from those in other rooms on final night very disturbing. Staff did their best however to quite them down.

• Conveniently located - close to highway and most areas of the city.
• I didn't feel calm in this hotel.

“My room was on the main floor, right by the exercise room, pool tables, ping pong, tables and chairs, everything! My first night I was woken up by someone banging on my door at 230 a.m. and then they continued chatting (in a loud voice!) right outside my door for the next hour! In addition to feeling like I was in the middle of a party (rather than feeling relaxed), the shower curtain in my room was filthy and moldy! But it was a place to sleep and it was conveniently located so I could get north or south of town in 15 minutes or so.”

• My room was a smoking room. I did not like it.

“All the facilities were all upgraded. Excellent. Bed covers and pillows were all clean. Bathroom was superb, towels were all fresh and clean everyday.”

• The rooms were modern and extremely comfortable.
• Too much truck traffic in the middle of the night. Noisy.

“Very high quality for the money. Holidome pool for the kids. Everything was modern and updated. I would recommend this hotel to both families and business travelers. I did not use the business center but observed a modern and comfortable convenience.”

“As mentioned by other reviewers, this hotel is not in the best part of town. There is a gentlemen's club across the highway and few restaurants or services nearby. It is an older property and the public areas are drab and dated. The room was in fine condition, but we had to move since the AC was broken in our first room. Staff was accommodating. Newer 2.5 star hotels all have refrigerators and microwaves, if not full kitchens in the rooms. This hotel had an ice bucket, and I think they only get the 2.5 star rating because of their on-site restaurants and other facilities. The rooms themselves are 2 star at best.”

• The hotel is really nice and very close to dinning and shopping.
• The area around the hotel seemed economically depressed. There is a men's club within a block of the hotel.

“The hotel is very nice. If the hotel was located two exits north (about two miles) I would have rated it a 3 star hotel.”

• We did not like that we had to stay in a smoking room. I am asthmatic.

“The hotel was under construction and in seedy part of town. I didn't appreciate that we were forced to stay in a smoking room. I would never stay in this hotel again.”

• They were very friendly. They were great!
• The air conditioning didnt seem to work so well in our room.

“Overall a very nice place. We ended up needing two rooms and they gave us a second room for a discounted price. They also were nice enough to change our rooms to non-smoking and put them beside each other. Although we needed double beds, we survived with 2 kings. We had 5 people in each room and we couldn't hear noise from the neighboring rooms, so thats a big PLUS. They have a great indoor pool, so bring your swimming suit. I am happy to say that I would definitely stay in this hotel again. They were great!”

• Nice pool and game room.
• The staff was kind of rude, gave away my room, and acted like it was my fault.

“It's in a pretty crappy neighborhood - my kids were afraid to stay there! The girl who originally helped me was rude and made no effort to try to make me a satisfied customer. A manager finally had to step in because they gave away my room and they weren't going to fix it. The place was also overrun with chaos - very busy and loud.”

• I liked the open tables in the lobby for groups and others, I also liked the ping pong table and pool for the kids. My room was very clean.
• I wished there had been microwaves and cream rinse for hair, most hotels have it and I hadn't brought any, oops!

“I enjoyed my stay. We were there for a soccer tournament and I thought all staff was very tolerant to all the noise and craziness. Our room was very clean. Your public restrooms were awesome! I left something and the man at the desk went and looked for it while I held on the phone. He found it and I was thrilled. The open area with tables was great for our large group to order pizzas and eat together. There were things for the kids to do which kept them busy. Nice pool and picnic area!”

• The first night mgr was very rude otherwise staff was good.
• Handicap shower flooded not good set upwater all over the bathroom we moved.

“Except for the rudeness of the night manager on the first night staffs were very friendly. I will stay here again.”

• The spa, gym room and ice machine, were all broke.

“Did not like at all, the hotel would not work with us since the spa was down (the reason we stayed here). The exercise room was closed, our ice machine was broke and we only has like 30 channels on out TV, no kids' channels like Disney or Nick.”

• The hotel was very clean.
• The neighborhood wasn't great, and there were little issues with room service, security, etc.

“The rooms were comfortable and clean but nothing special. It would be fine for a quick business trip when you are only staying a 1-2nights. And the hotel's games and indoor pool would be great for families! A couple minor (annoying) problems with room service, getting lost in the maze of the place, I didn't really like the neighborhood, etc but overall the hotel was fine.”

• According to the pictures it looked like it would be fun for kids if only it was kept up.
• The entire place was a health hazardous run down dump!

“We were very displeased after finding blood on the door, splattered on the wall, carpet, and chair. The staff were polite but quite nonchalant and only after we requested another room we were given a suite with a poorly functioning cooling system and a broken toilet. Although the staff thought they were doing us a favor by upgrading us to a suite, it was just as bad with food on the walls etc. At least it wasn't blood! Needless to say after a long drive with 2 young children at 9pm at night we were left with no choice but to take what we could get. ”
