“The Dayton Marriott is located near downtown Dayton and offers easy access to south Dayton. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff is very friendly, responsive, and helpful.”

• Close to the event attended.

“The front desk clerks were friendly. We asked for connecting rooms and they accommodated us. However, they were right at the elevator. At about 1:30am the elevator jammed with people in it and it took them about 30-40 minutes to get the people out. People were talking extremely loud during this time which was ok because of the circumstance but they continued to hover around the elevator talking very loudly after everyone were out; needless to say we didn't sleep well that night.”

• I prefer 2 queen instead of 2 double.

• The staff was very friendly and the facilities were clean and in order.
• The menu was very expensive for a traveler with children, both dinner and breakfast.

“This hotel was quite nice the room was smaller than I had expected but it was clean and in order. The shower pressure and temperature control was terrible they really need to take a look into this problem. The dinner at the Italian restaurant was very expensive and not very tasty. Breakfast buffet was wonderful a little pricy but good service and good food. The service of the hotel staff was wonderful they were all very friendly and quick to respond when we requested a roll away bed for our teenage son.”

“Staff first assigned me a room that had an electronic air cleaner running. To correct for the mistake they upgraded us to the concierge level and that was very nice. The rooms have individual air conditioning units, much like a motel. Even when we turned the unit off, the fan kept coming on every half hour during the night. That was an annoyance.”

• I always know I¿ll have a neat, clean place to stay close to amenities.
• The absence of a free breakfast. It is always a plus for a hotel to give this little extra.

• Enjoyed the walking paths along the river and especially enjoyed the very comfortable bed.
• Smoky bar.

“Nice hotel in a great location within walking distance of the University. Be prepared to pay for Internet service, other hotels of similar range has free Internet service. Other than that I would stay again.”

• It was safe, clean and convenient.
• The person at the front desk when I checked in, was not too friendly.

“This hotel is clean, safe and kid friendly. The rooms are nice, and the restaurant and outside bar are very nice. It is in a central location which makes traveling around the city a breeze.”

• $12 a day Internet access charge. Free at every other stop we took over 12 days.

• In the sweltering heat the hotel room was very cool. Room service was very accommodating.
• It was far from the airport. But that is only important if someone feels that they need to be closer.

• It's ridiculous to have to pay $10.00 plus tax for daily Internet service. Get rid of it!

• I liked the Marriott quality level in terms of bed comfort and room size.
• This hotel is not easily accessible. It's a bit off the beaten path.

• Close to Univ. Beds were great. No charge for roll away.
• Restaurant was expensive and the other was smoky. We had to go outside the hotel to find somewhere to eat.

“The hotel was very busy. The staff was great and the rooms were nice. The beds were especially comfortable. It would have been nice to have a less expensive option of eating in the hotel that was smoke free.”

• Nikki at check-in, great customer service with room mix up.
• Cannot think of anything, it exceeded my expectations.

“The hotel was completely booked for both nights of our stay. We checked in late and there was a room mix up. The front end staff was always gracious and worked on a solution for me. Because of the slight delay, Nikki offered me complimentary breakfasts for my husband and I. It made all the difference. In all our dealings with the hotel, they made us feel appreciated and were concerned that our stay be enjoyable.”

• I loved the room and bed, best sleep in years actually.
• Kind of dated hotel.

“The staff was great and the hotel was very pleasant. My room was small but well appointed. I was very pleased with the bed. "Even with the stress of the visit, I slept great". The housekeepers were so nice and pleasant. During my stay, my father passed away and the hotel extended my stay without question, the housekeepers heard about it and expressed sympathy and offered to help in anyway possible, that really touched me. The staff was genuine and it showed. When in Dayton I will only stay at the Dayton Marriott Hotel. I heard the hotel is slated for a renovation soon.”

• In room heating system was noisy when on and constantly blowing hot air without automatic shut off.

• Convenient location, plenty of parking space, lobby and rooms are nice.
• Noise of people at parking lot leaving hotel Bar/club at 3:00 AM. No central heat nor A/C. Units ones are noisy.

“The room was fairly small, the water in the pool was cold, the rooms were not sound-proof, the location next to the river was beautiful, the staff were pleasant and accommodating to our needs, the bed, sheets, and pillows were wonderful.”

• Bathrooms were small, and they charge for internet.

“I really liked the King Size bed in my room. The exercise faculty was also very nice. The Hotel staff was nice enough, and they cleared snow off of my car in the morning, which was a pleasant surprise. I didn't like the charges for the local phone calls and the high charges to use the internet.”

• Beautiful Lobby and rooms. Seemed very clean, rooms were nice.
• The bathroom was pretty small.

“The hotel had a beautiful lobby and friendly staff. They were helpful and polite. The rooms were clean (extremely important) and decorated nicely. We didn't have time to use the pool or restaurant, but my husband has been at the bar before and says it's a lot of fun and worth checking out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again!”

• The decor was somewhat current, traditional.

“You can never go wrong with a main stay like the Marriot. This hotel is close to downtown, close to University of Dayton, and close to a park. The hotel is right near the water, which gives a nice feel during the summer time.”

• The pool area was not up to par the water in the pool and hot tub was dirty and the floor was unclean.
