• The location was great and the room was welcoming.
• Their was no toilet paper in the bathroom and the toilets had not been cleaned.

• Set up in condo type buildings.
• Air conditioner was really noisy when it shut off or started.

“Nice place to stay. We only stayed one night but if you were staying for a period of time or had kids, you had plenty of room plus a full kitchen for use. Very nice.”

• The room was excellent, clean, and well equipped, there were no amenities, lotion, shampoo, etc.
• The broken lamp in the living room and no amenities in bathroom.

“I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room and furnishings. The party accompanying us kept awake most of Friday night by loud noises above them. They called the front desk and were told that there was no motel security, so they called the police.”

• No ESPN. Unforgivable!

“I did have problems getting the Ethernet in my room to work. Thankfully, a service man was there to change out a faulty router. However, I don't understand no ESPN on the satellite. This needs to be upgraded ASAP.”

• It was set up like apartments/condos rather then a traditional hotel. The room included a kitchen, fireplace, dishwasher and more!
• Room only included 1 queen and 1 sofa pullout bed.

“Great location, safe area! The Dayton Mall (very nice) is directly across the street. Hotel included a wonderful, free breakfast each morning with many choices. We did not use it, but there was a nice outdoor pool for guests. The hotel looks like was once condos; therefore, each room is separate from the others (outside entrances) and each includes a fireplace, full kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area. The couch pulls out to another bed. This hotel is perfect for families with small children because it has a full size refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher in the kitchen--no need to go out to eat each night. We will definitely return!”

• The room we had was big and clean with a full kitchen.
• We ere not at the hotel long enough to enjoy the room.

“My son and I arrived about 10:30 PM and were greeted by friendly staff. The suite we had contained a complete kitchen with an eating area, large dressing/bath area, fireplace and a sofa bed. A good breakfast was included with the room along with free national and local papers. The room was clean and the shower had good pressure. If in the area I will not hesitate to stay there again.”

• The room felt very spacious, and I especially liked having a fireplace.
• The pillows, mattress, and bed clothes were clean, but held residual odors. The should have been replaced.

• We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and cleanliness. The breakfast buffet was fresh, hot & delicious.
• Our room faced the freeway, and we heard the traffic swishing on the wet roads all night long.

“This is a wonderful remodeled residence suite hotel with spacious, clean rooms. We had a large bathroom and kitchen and a fireplace. The staff was friendly, the breakfast tasty. This would be a great hotel for a family traveling to this area.”

• Please cover mattress with double "soft" mattress covers; mattress was hard as a rock. Thanks!

• Spaciousness of the room. Full kitchen availability. Location was great, close to everything.
• Slick floors in the bathroom. I fell getting out of the tub. Pillows were very uncomfortable.

“We enjoyed our stay! Very spacious rooms, with full kitchen. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Location was convenient to everywhere we needed to go. The only problem we had were the slick bathroom floors and uncomfortable bed pillows. Everything else was perfect. We'd definitely go back for another stay, with our own bed pillows.”

“Old Residence Inn under new management. Great location near the mall and highway. Rooms are suites and are clean but older and need a face lift. Facility has doors that open to the parking lot which could be noisy and was on my stay. Would call this a 2 Star facility.”

“Located next to i75, couldn't sleep due to noise from i75. Our bed had a sunken area which my husband had a pillow, but that didn't help much. Room was clean except for 2 spider webs with spider in the bathroom. Staff was helpful and friendly.”

• Location, near freeway and road noise unbearable.

“This hotel was an apartment complex converted to suites. The row of rooms facing the freeway is nothing but a nightmare from a good sleep standpoint. The trucks passing by all night kept me from getting a good nights sleep. After 2 nights, I requested that I be moved to a room on the other side, since I had a long drive the next day and the staff did help me with one. I would be very careful if with children, since they might have a disturbed sleep too.”

• I liked the room because it had a kitchen in it. I also liked the fold-out couch for my kids.
• When I called the desk, the employee was somewhat rude.

• 1st impression was nice but not fancy.
• Walls were paper thin, could hear every sound from room above and next door.

“Horrible stay. Wanted upscale hotel, did not need full kitchen. This Residence Inn is used as long term apartments by many. Upstairs tenants were young bachelors, up all night partying. Floors and walls paper thin, we could hear voices, toilet noises, footsteps, clunking and TV all night. I went up and asked them to quiet down,(8 young people in the room) they left at 1:00 am to go party, came back drunk at 3:00 am, made noise till 4:30 am. I reported it to desk clerk in the morning, she said they've had complaints of them before and will see if they can get them evicted. This is not what I expected by any means of an upscale hotel. I would have gladly paid full price at a number of the newer hotels in the area such as the Hampton or others. Would appreciate reimbursement from Hotel. If this survey is real, please respond back to me.”

• Rooms were studios in apartments buildings. Photos on website did not match decor inside rooms.

“It was easy to find off of I-75. However the office was at far end of first entrance with no visible sign age pointing to location. Noise from interstate was not noticeable. The room was one large studio type apartment. It was furnished with a sofa, TV, two desk, king size bed, kitchenette fully stocked. Some of the other amenities included a Fire place microwave with popcorn provided and candy dish of mints. The morning breakfast was hot and included eggs, pancakes, potatoes and sausage, along with waffles, cereal and fresh fruits and juices.”

• There was mud outside our room on the sidewalk that we tracked inside. They were trying to cover it with straw.

• Room could have been cleaner. A little difficult to find.

“This hotel is a great value. Nice large rooms with very comfortable beds and furniture. Lots of space. Parking was convenient to the room even after late arrival. Conveniently located to freeway and Dayton mall area. Very friendly staff. Could have been quieter, we would hear upstairs guests when the walked.”

“I travel quite a bit and have stayed in many Hotels or motels. The Residence Inn in Dayton is absolutely the best! The room was excellent, very comfortable and cozy and the staff there, from the manager to the maids that clean the rooms were very courteous and all smiled and were very happy. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with. Looking forward to coming back to stay my next trip to Dayton. Thanks to everyone.”

• One of the desk employees was rather unfriendly, but did honor our request.

• The room was smaller and of different configuration than the web site indicated.

“This Residence Inn had all the features we wanted, but in a smaller space than the website indicated. It is likely that this Residence Inn has not updated itself in a while, so it did appear a bit worn and the mattress is on its last legs. On the positive side, the full sized kitchen appliances were great as was the Internet connection. The complementary breakfast was quite good. The room was clean and the staff very courteous. The location is very good as Orwellian the not so positive side, we could not get the room temperature high enough to be able to spend time in the room without sweatshirts or sweaters. No reading the morning paper. Since our stay was over Christmas time, the housekeeping service was iffy. We got back to our room one day at 4:00 pm and our room was just then being clean need Another day, the service staff came by before we left and did not return later as they said they would. The room was of a much different configuration and smaller than the hotel web site indicated. It was not as comfortable to spend waking our in as other Residence Inn's have been. But, overall, it was a good place to stay and value for the price. We would stay there again, but would raise some of the issues we had in advance.”

• All employees I encountered during the weekend are very pleasant and willing to assist you

• I liked the efficient, clean and professional modern convenience away from home.
• I liked everything at my stay.

“This was a great weekend getaway from the busy work days. It was a great treat to spend time at a Residence Inn. Also, I enjoyed the great complimentary breakfast. I have been to many restaurants and my experience at the Residence Inn was one of the best breakfast experiences I ever had. The food was fresh and tasty and a good assortment of beverages was top notch. I will definitely stay at another Residence Inn on my next vacation or weekend excursion. I give my hotel experience an A+.”

“I did not receive a non-smoking room. I suppose I should have asked before arrival, but the point is that the hotel has mis-managed the mix of smoking & non-smoking rooms. They need to do a better job of listening to their guests.”

• This hotel was very roomy and the breakfast bar was the best.!
• There is no indoor pool.

“I have stayed in very expensive hotels before and this one is even better! I think in the summer there would be more to do since the hotel has only an outdoor pool. Everything was clean. The services offered are extraordinary.”
