• No maid service the entire trip or towels.

“While this was a good value on the price, the staff was stand offish and almost rude. No one informed me up front there was no room (towels or linen) service during my stay.”

• I liked the price and the kitchenette.
• The staircase up to my room smelt - you had to pay for housekeeping services if you wanted your room to be cleaned.

• The bullet proof glass with which I had to hand things under between 6 pm and 6:30 am was nice and thick.
• It was dirty.

“The carpeting was filthy, the floor was greasy. We kept our sandals on in the room. If you needed more dish detergent, they gave one little pack at a time - same with the coffee. Between 6 pm and 6:30 am, things were handed to you thru a slot in the bullet proof glass. I could not wait to leave.”

• Kitchen facilities were convenient and very adequate. Parking space was available near room.
• Housekeeping services not avail for short stay. Check in time of 3:00 pm too late for early morning arrivals. No computer access.

“Hotel specializes in extended stay patrons ideal for business traveler on a budget. However, laptop computer essential with no computer access. No courtesy pickup van available from/to airport/bus station. Hotel has no restaurant/coffee shop. However, variety of food places within walking distance.”

• Convenience of dining facilities.
• Bathtub drain is not working, dirty pillowcases, dirty linens, front desk personnel not available readily (hiding at the back).

“Upon arrival around 6PM, office was locked. No staff available (they were in a back room). Internet is not available and requires fee (in this day of age, hotels need to have free internet service). Have to bring soiled towels to the office to get new ones. Bath tub drain is slow and not working very well. Pillowcases were soiled and have hair. I did not expect this from a big city like Atlanta, GA. The appearance of hotel from the outside is well kept, but they need to improve the quality of their service.”

• "Full kitchen" does not include all cookware or an oven.

“The homestead suite was refreshingly clean. I was worried that a 1 star hotel might be scary either in appearance, cleanliness, or location in town. All three qualities exceeded my expectations. It was a very good experience!”

• The towels were clean.
• Sticky kitchen floor, hair on floor in bathroom and they charged extra for internet use.

“We just needed a place to sleep. For that it was fine. If I was going to be there for a couple of weeks it would probably be okay too. Internet costs extra though and I didn't like finding that out when I arrived.”

• Dirty, one bed (two was not "available" bedding did not fit.

“I wouldn't want to stay here again. Most of the staff was unpleasant the room was tiny we had 4 people and one bed even after asking for two. It was hard to get clean towels, bedding didn't fit we had to replace fitted sheet with flat sheet which kept moving no remote for TV not at all like described or pictured. Some yellow stuff on bathroom walls looked like urine, window broken, and bathroom door did not shut waste of money.”

• We had to wait outside, checking in after 11:00 p.m. There was no soap in the room.

“The room was very basic, but essentially clean. Nothing special. There was no soap in the room. We had to wait outside for about 10 minutes in order to check in because we arrived after 11:00. The hotel is fairly close to the highway.”

• It lacked some of the things promised by this hotel.

“This hotel is located with easy access to i-285. There is a fitness center, shopping, and restaurants next door or across the street. The room was about what I expected. However, this hotel also promises silverware and pots and pans. There were no pots or pans, and the only silverware was large spoons. Furthermore, the kitchen area was not as clean as it could have been, and the refrigerator was turned off for some reason.”

• Not being able to check in until 1 hour after arriving.

“Worst experience ever. Needed a late check-in and it took 1 hour to able to check-in, the calling service could not reach attendant. After getting checked in I went to my room dropped off bags, went to car to get laptop, get to my room and my card wouldn't open my door. It took another hour and countless phone calls to reach attendant again. All in all I arrived a hotel at 1:15am and was finally able to relax at 3:30am. Due to this my meeting had to be canceled and lost a days pay.”

• For the most part, the staff was very friendly and displayed good customer service skills.

“I was thoroughly disappointed in the lack of overall cleanliness! My room was absolutely filthy!! There was feces and hair on and around the toilet. Hair and dirt on the floor & carpet! My bed spread smelled. I actually had to go out and BUY cleaning/disinfectant products to clean the room myself (upon my arrival!!) because I was told that I couldn't borrow supplies from the hotel and cleaning staff was not available. Not that it mattered- because I found that the cleanliness of the room was still severely substandard even during weekly scheduled cleanings!!!!!!”

• The front desk lady was nice.
• The room was nasty, it smelled like urine and the sheets were nasty and the toilet had urine in it when I first walked in.

“The staff was nice but it was the nastiest room that I had ever seen. I was surprised that is was so gross. The bed post smelled like someone peed on it and behind the bed. The sheets were nasty and had globs of hair in it. The toilet was used and not flushed and I discovered it as soon as I walked in. The window was wide open and looked as though someone was already staying there. I just expected more from this hotel considering the chain that it is with.”

“Staff was friendly in assisting me in moving to a hotel that had a non -smoking room. The move to another hotel was inconvenient for me. The sister hotel didn't offer the same accommodations.”

“On the first night I had to wait outside due to late check in for over 20 minutes by the front door, then I asked for double bed they told me they don't have any and even if they do it will cost me more. I asked for towel due to they only change out once a week and they told me that they will come by and swap out towels which they never did. I asked for internet access and they told me their network is having some problems and couldn't help me at all. ”

“I have stayed at many 3 star hotels and this one was easily the worst. My bathtub had no shower curtain, and the shower and tub were not as clean as they usually are. The rest of the room was fine, but there was some noise from nearby rooms and the walkway outside. When I came by in the morning to return my keys, the door to the front desk and office was locked.”

“Very excellent hotel for 2 star or even higher rating. Had everything you need. Fridge, kitchen facilities, clean, fresh smell, pool, internet (wireless), internet (data port), etc. The layout of the room was very nice. Comparing this hotel and all of the last 10 hotels I have stayed at, this one was clearly superior in every single aspect except location and desk. ”

• I loved the fact that both suites came with a complete kitchen
• I didn't like the fact that I was limited to a Queensize bed in both rooms, after I had requested two fullsized beds in each room

“I enjoyed my stay at the Homestead Suites, all the staff was friendly, the suites were clean, and completely furnished, from pots, and pans down to the silverware. Fresh towels on demand, and the maid service was great!”
