• Rooms had recently been refurbished.
• Exterior of the building is showing it's age.

“Nice place. The road was being resurfaced outside but they had enough sense to put us on the interior and there were no sound problems. The room's interior was nicely done in what had to be a recent refurbishing.”

• Staff was really helpful and nice.
• The beds could of been more comfortable, since this was just remodeled.

“I stayed in this hotel two nights, the first room was less to be desired, the second room was remodeled and some what nicer. The beds had not been changed out with the remodeling. Over all for the price, this hotel met my expectations.”

• Went out of their way to better accommodate us.
• The breakfast was ok but could have been better.

“All of the staff from the GM to maids were fantastic and very helpful. The rooms were all right for the price and were very clean. The motel is a couple of miles from the university but is only a short drive. I will stay there every time I go to visit my daughter in college. They ran short of some things at breakfast but I suspect that was due to people taking it for lunch.”

• Staff was very friendly & helpful. Room was really clean.
• The hotel was older and in need of a facelift. Construction zone.

“I was really impressed with the staff and service. The hotel itself is very old though and in poor shape (Doors deteriorated, shabby ceiling repair, etc.). The vending was not substantial or strategically placed. The closest ice machine was not producing ice and the coke machine not fully stocked. There was a lot of construction and it was very annoying. We were awaken by it at dawn. I would have appreciated a notice so I could have avoided the area and made other arrangements.”

“Hotel was showing some signs of age but, overall, was well kept and clean. Overall quality was acceptable. Beds were a bit small but not uncomfortable for two average size adults. For the price would consider staying there again.”

• AC worked.
• Dirty, outdated, rundown, arguementive staff. Bathroom so small the door could hardly close. Free breakfast area very dirty. Very little food offered.

“This was a total disaster! The place needs to be shut down! Mold was in pool area, bugs in bathroom, filth in bathtub. The carpet was so dirty, torn, and rundown we didn't want to take our shoes off. Bedspreads were old and outdated.”

• Friendly check-in staff.

“Friendly check in staff, but that is the only positive. The bathroom had pink mold in the corner. The water pressure was poor. There was a cigarette burn hole in my blanket. The piece covering the shower head mount to the wall was off and just hanging. The room smelled awful and had to be aired out. Just a bad all around experience!”

• Excellent staff, high speed internet, pool, pet friendly, super breakfast variety, very clean rooms, and good location.
• Needs more parking spaces.

“This hotel has friendly desk clerks and cleaning ladies. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great --- it had a nice variety of cereals, oatmeal, milk, juices, fruit, coffee, tea, sausage snacks, muffins, bagels, jellies, wheat, cinnamon raison, and white bread. It even had strawberry cream cheese! The pool was crystal clear and the pool area was a comfortable place to sit and read and/or swim. The front areas of some of the hotel rooms have a nice tropical type setting with beautiful assorted plants and benches to sit and relax with a cup of coffee and a good book. We felt safe and well taken care of during our entire stay. This facility is well maintained --- it has no peeling paint --- no bad smells.”

• Location right off Interstate is good.
• I got bed bug bites that night and did not get any satisfaction.

“I stayed at the Tallahassee La Quinta Inn close to Interstate 10. During my stay I received numerous bed bug bites. I showed the bugs to the front desk and the spots on my arms where I was bitten. I never got any satisfaction even after contacting the headquarters. I was offered a free night stay. Would you want to stay in a hotel where you received bug bites! It took me months to get a peaceful night sleep and I now have scars on my arms from my stay that are very embarrassing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and make a point of telling business associates.”

• There were two pools and the breakfast was wonderful.
• The parking lot is a little confusing.

“Overall the hotel was nice and exceeded my expectations. The rooms were bigger than I thought they would be, there were two pools for the different levels, and the continental breakfast was exceptional.”

• Elevator access not well marked

“I was quite happy to get a hotel of this quality for the low price I paid. It had a very decent complimentary breakfast, high speed wireless internet (and provided a free bridge so I could use my old laptop), excellent lighting in the room, two double beds and space to set up my computer and printer. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The two star rating is correct for this older facility, but it is well-run. It has a large pool which I did not use.”
