  • It was priced good. I love that it had an indoor pool and hot tub that was open late.
  • When we checked in the person at the desk was a little rushed and I could barely hear her. Also the double bed size is small for 2 people, needs a queen.

“I had to get 2 rooms this time because last time, the stay at Fairfield inn, the front desk person refused to switch me to a room with 2 beds. And the hotel was about 25% full. Never had that experience with a Marriott”

  • Individual who checked us in seemed disinterested and impolite. Set a negative tone for the stay. Gentleman who checked us out was much friendlier.

“Good enough for our purposes. We were there for entertainment and simply needed a place to sleep at an economical rate. This was sufficient for that purpose.”

  • The hotel in general was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised.

  • It was convenient to the park we were visiting.
  • The lobby wasn't big enough to accommodate the morning breakfast crowd.

“This hotel was very reasonably priced and family friendly (we were visiting a nearby theme park). We loved the breakfast bar and waffle machine as well as the pool-which was clean. The rooms were clean enough (average at best) with plenty of towels and pretty (newer) decor. The hotel was packed with families and youth groups so if you want quiet, try somewhere else. It was perfect for us, however since my son had plenty of friends to swim with. But breakfast was packed so get up early to beat the crowded lobby!”

  • Staff wasn't too quick on coming to check us in or out.

  • The La Quinta Inn was a nice place to crash after Kings Island. The pool opened early so the kids got a couple of hours to swim before heading home.
  • The surrounding area was a little congested. Not easy to get in and out of.

  • They cancelled our original reservation.

“Hotel and rooms were what we expected for the price. Rooms were clean. Had to ask for more than the 2 towels since there were 3 people. We were switched to 3 different rooms over our 4 day stay. Room 1 was to get us out of smoking, room 2 was not cleaned, and room 3 had a leak in the ceiling. On their defense, it was a very busy weekend. We still enjoyed our vacation.”

  • I enjoyed the indoor pool. It was heated and extremely clean.

“I have to say, that for the most part the overnight experience was wonderful. The room was clean, the pool was nice, they accommodated for everything we asked for, and of course the morning breakfast was great. The only awful experience we had was that maintenance felt the need to come to our room to work on the air conditioner. My husband was still sleeping at the time, and they wouldn't take no for an answer. Needless to say, we left shortly after that.”

  • The brightness and cleanliness of the room, new furniture and bedding, great breakfast with Belgian waffles!
  • Crowded dining room. There were sports teams registered during our stay.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the newness of this hotel. The room decor and cleanliness were excellent, the hallways bright and clean and the breakfast had many choices, including Belgian waffles! We had a very restful night and look forward to staying at the la Quinta in the future!”

  • I liked the front desk person, he seemed genuinely happy to see my family.
  • The cleaning people did not do a good job cleaning the room did not change linens even though I requested it.

“The hotel was ordinary. That's fine, but when I put the card on the pillow stating I want the linens changed I expect them to be changed. There were some sunflower seed shells on the floor before we left for an outing and they were still there after the cleaning people "cleaned" the room. I lifted the covers of the bed assuming to have clean sheets, I saw more sunflower shells. I asked everyone in my party if they had any sunflower seeds that day and they all said no. Even though this was a basic hotel, I had no problem with it until I discovered this.”

  • Much nicer than a regular 2*, great continental breakfast, very friendly staff, felt safe.
  • Had no dislikes.

“We were very impressed by this hotel. Every maid was friendly and smiling along with the check-in people. Rooms were much nicer than I expected. The breakfast was great and the staff kept it stocked as there was always a swarm of people wanting something. We will definitely stay here again!”

“This place was a good value, no frills hotel. Our room was clean but not very well appointed (there were no end tables for the two double beds with the exception for the one in the middle). The water in the pool was too cold on the first night but better the next. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The free breakfast was better than I thought it would be. Overall a very good experience.”

  • They honored our request for a nonsmoking room even though they were booked full.
  • There was a soiled wash cloth on the sink when we entered the room.

“We had stayed at this hotel two years ago when it was a Baymont Inn. It has lost some of its polish but was still fine for a business trip. The room was nonsmoking but smelled heavily of air freshener. The bathroom floor seemed not quite clean and there was a dirty wash cloth on the sink when we entered the room. Staff was pleasant even though hotel was sold out that evening.”

  • I did not like the dogs in the hotel. The elevator smelled like a dog - a lady said a dog messed in it. I don't want to sleep in a dignified room.

“The room was nice but I didn't like the idea of dogs being in the hotel - especially when the elevator smelled the way it did! Also, we were on a no smoking floor and it smelled of smoke. One thing - my daughter left her diamond earrings on the bathroom sink. I called the day after check out and Katie (the maid) turned them in!! Very honest employee.”

  • Excellent b'fast buffet. Pleasant staff. Very clean rooms.
  • We didn't find a single thing that we had a complaint about.

  • Directions to hotel on hotel's website are wrong.

“Staff is very friendly and helpful with any issues we had. We did have a problem with the toilet in our room - it was leaking when we got in the room after checkin. THey did come within a minute of us calling though, and the manager came as well. It was fixed promptly. The rooms were clean and nice.”

  • Indoor swimming pool.
  • Smoke smell in hallway and stairway and in the rooms, also the parking on the south side was a little scary at night.

“Staff smoked a lot in the maid room on the 2nd floor and the smell went throughout the 2nd floor hallway and stairway and got into our rooms and on our clothes for the next day, we will not stay here again and I was not happy at all. I had bought 2 rooms and had 7 people that were all unhappy with this problem.”

  • It is one exit away from King's Island
  • It's a dirty, run down hotel.

“If you need something cheap and don't really care about quality it isn't bad. It's close to King's Island so expect LOTS of kids running around ALL THE TIME. But it is conveniently located 1 exit away from King's Island.”
