• It was clean and the staff was friendly.
• The star rating of the hotel did not seem like a 4 star. I am sure with a little help it can be.

“This was a nice hotel. I would recommend it to others but I think may be they need to do some updating and some maintenance of the premises. Outside the hotel and the lobby were really nice but the rooms were mediocre.”

• It was all good.
• The prices on the honor bar were outrageous.

“This is a fabulous hotel. Renovated in contemporary style, it was lovely. We got in late that night, and the staff at the bar made sure that we got some excellent food; right before they were to close. The bellman was able to help us find, and wrote out directions, to something we were trying to find in Atlanta. I loved this hotel!”

• Great shuttle service/ better than a taxi and great staff.
• Small pool.

“Hotel was very convenient to restaurants and large mall and business. Room was comfortable and quiet with a great view of the city. Staff was very helpful and great shuttle staff free of charge within 2 miles of hotel (which covers a lot of choices) we never drove ourselves once we parked the car, between the shuttle and the Marta (train system) of Atlanta. Great weekend experience. Lots to see and do in hot Atlanta. New aquarium is awesome, a must see.”

• Front lobby was very clean and staffs were friendly.
• Room was small but a nice view.

“Overall, the Westin was nice and comfortable but not my first choice in hotel accommodations. The room was relatively small. As long as your stay is overnight or a 2-night stay, the accommodations are worthwhile; otherwise, you will feel as though you are spending the night in a closet at best.”

• The pool was well kept.
• We had ants, roaches, and a septic tank problem.

“This hotel is more of a 2 1/2 star. The rooms are small, under construction, ants, roaches, septic issues. I had to change rooms twice. Maybe after construction is complete will the rating be able to increase.”

• The location and appearance of the hotel stood out.
• The elevator area carpet was worn-out.

“I was disappointed about a couple of small things like a 4-star hotel not providing shower caps and the toilet seat covers old or worn-out. However I enjoyed my stay an would return their again, but I would classify this hotel as a 3-star.”

• The lobby was attractive.
• I hated the fact that there was an electronic bar in the room.

“When we checked in, only half of the staff was helpful and friendly. There is a charge for local and toll-free calls. It seems like everything in this hotel comes with extra charges. I would rather stay at Embassy Suites where charges are not a surprise.”

• Broken elevator, broken exercise equip, non-English speaking staff.

“I found the room to be cramped with a king-size bed but luckily I was by myself. The room was clean and bedding, luxurious. The refrigerator wouldn't allow me to put in my own drinks to cool because it would charge my account for the moved items. (The front desk credited my account with only my simple telephone request.) The staff was all helpful except for those that couldn't speak English, which happened twice. I had exercised and didn't want to stink up the elevator but stairs were not to be found even after asking an employee so I ended up with a bride and her parents post-reception. The valet staff was very courteous even during the check-out rush. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again. The pool was pleasant. The exercise room was nice (though the stair stepper was broken and the TV reception was lousy--I didn't care much.)”

• Great hotel. Convenient shuttle to local areas.
• Room service left much to be desired. A couple of calls to front desk were required to clean room.

“Overall experience was great. Room service could have been much better and an item was missing from bar and a correction was required from the hotel with no problems. Could have added free internet access.”

• The breakfast buffet was good.
• The toilet leaked and kept the floor wet by the bed.

“The hotel staff would eventually answer any requests made of them, but it would always take at least two phone calls if not three. I expect leaky toilets and wet floors in a motel 6, not a Westin.”

• It was clean, attractive and aimed at the business traveler.
• Room/bathroom was not as large or as upgraded as I would have liked.

“The Westin was very accommodating and much focused on business travelers. Single cup coffee maker in the room is very nice. There were families there but nothing was geared for kids. The restaurant was over priced so we only ate breakfast there. Not far away there is a wide range of places to eat.”

• The staff was very friendly and the location is great.
• The hotel room was quite small and the bed was not very comfortable.

“I expected the hotel room to be much nicer. The staff was very friendly and cheerfully honored our request for a king sized bed instead of two doubles. The public areas are very nice and the restaurant offers outdoor tables next to a lake, which was very nice. The room was quite small and the bed, though attractive and clean, was not very comfortable. We would have paid more money to stay in a higher quality hotel if we had known.”

• The location was excellent and although we didn't need it, there is a shuttle to nearby shopping/restaurants.
• I would have enjoyed a more private, cozier lounge area.

“What a wonderful upscale hotel! The rooms are so spacious and the staffs were so very friendly. It is also dog friendly having special "beds" for your doggie. Such a pleasure on the most beautiful grounds!”

• Rooms were smaller than expected and the minibar in the room automatically charges you if you remove something from the refrigerator.

“Overall the hotel was very nice. The rooms were smaller than I expected. The minibar refrigerator automatically charges you when you simply pick something up out of the refrigerator.”

• The hotel was comfortable and quiet.
• For the price, this hotel room needs some maintenance. The cleanliness of it was less than expected also.

“The hotel is located in a beautiful area. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Also, one of the blankets on the bed was soiled. Overall, I was pleased and my children enjoyed the amenities.”

• Sony the front desk person was very courteous and helpful.
• Our room was over booked, was told would be given a suite, and it didn't happen.

“We had a late check in and the room was overbooked when we got there. The only other choice of hotel close by with a pool was the w, which I had a bad experience with before but gave it a 2nd chance. We were told we would be refunded the full amount when we returned to the hotel the next day but was given an excuse the next day. There was a lot of long brown hair in the bathroom tub. We were told we would be put in a suite when we returned from the w and it didn't happen. One particular desk person was very unfriendly and not welcoming at all. It just wasn't what a west in experience usually is. One front desk person Named sonic was particularly helpful and nice.”

• The ambience created by the lake and office buildings at night, also the landscaping was spectacular.
• Water pressure in shower not strong enough, toilet paper dispenser in awkward location.

• I really liked the location and the modern décor.
• It is located in a corporate park.

“It was modern and updated. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The west in never disappoints. It was also fairly close to Atlanta. We were able to get downtown in about 15-20 minutes. Only issue possibly is that the hotel is not super close to public transportation. We had a rent-a-car, so it was no problem getting around.”

• Location is great, the Buffet breakfast is good and reasonably price.
• Room is very small and worn, electronic sensor refrigerator is not practical. No Jacuzzi, only pool. Stay on 10th floor, long wait for the 4 elevators.

“Very disappointed on the condition of the room, stay in a 3 stars Hilton Garden Inn in the same area with a bigger and newer condition room. I was told renovation will begin in June; I won't go back until after the renovation is completed.”

• It was located in a very nice and easy to get to area. We found it to be convenient for access to Atlanta and Roswell, GA.
• The hotel did not have a vent system in the bath room.

“It had a home environment. The staff was very courteous for checking in and accommodating to us. We needed wash clothes for baths on our check out day and they were expedient with the service. We had a most enjoyable experience with the Westin Hotel and staff.”

“We were in town for a family wedding and decided to splurge on a hotel room instead of being packed liked sardines with the family. It was our "haven" to come back to in the evening and just "be." very relaxing room. The bed was more comfortable than our bed at home. Well worth the money.”

• Very pretty hotel, nice lake and fountain.
• Staff entered my room three times without notice or knocking. Complained to manager.

“Worst coffee (in the Lakeside grill) ever. Very cold in the grill for morning breakfast all three days. Staff were not as knowledgeable as I hoped they would be. Staff entered my room three times without knocking, catching me in bed, coming out of shower etc called manager to arrange to stay an extra night...did not get call back. Did get a voucher for free breakfast for the staff problem....would not stay there again.”

• Poor staff, not a 4 star in the least- kids galore!

“Amenities are fine- staff did not show reservations at first, valet act was not professional- I had to take a friend to the emergency room and it took them 15 mines to get me checked out. I had to close the door in the car for my friend and the back while trying to leave- kid friendly hotel- the w should be your only 4 star for the perimeter area- the west in does not compare- I carry a star wood American express and I will never stay at this hotel- I will pay fill price for the w.”
